I agree. This is about A&E being a bunch of hypocrites. I hate that worse than the bigots.
-
I strongly don't agree with his views either, but this kind of crap pisses me off. A&E knew exactly where he stands and how his family feels and now they're all of a sudden the moral authority and shocked. Bull####. I would love to see all other family members refuse to tape the show. Just as much as I support gays to say what they believe, I support him to say what he believes even if I don't agree with it. I would tell A&E to pound sand. A&E has made millions off of their family and way of life (including their religious beliefs) and now I hope they lose millions.

Never paid attention to that, but it cracks me up every time he takes a dig at Obama.
-
Anyone else watch this? I can't believe some of the things he says and the network actually allows him. It is very anti-democrats and he is always taking shots at Obama. It is very politically incorrect which is one of the reasons I like it so much. If you haven't seen it, I recommend it highly. It has Tim Allen who works in an outdoor store and is very pro-gun. Seems like a perfect match for most on this board. Anyway, if you get a chance, watch it sometime.

Cancer victim booted from Mortons for not removing his hat
Hozzie replied to Dustbuster's topic in General Chat
I am not a fan of Morton's food anyway, but for me, this is simply the case of an ignorant employee(s) proving their inability to use any form of common sense. I think the company did try to do the right thing, although I don't really think they did a great job of it. I am with Caster that I would rather go to Stoney River. I have been to some of the best steakhouses around the world and for me, Stoney River provides as good a piece of steak as almost any of them. On the other side, I have a very differing opinion on the whole how people dress issue. I am by no means saying people can't dress how they want, but for me it is a direct reflection of the direction of society. Many people have no self respect anymore for themselves or anyone else. I was taught that there is a time and place for everything. Wearing a hat in a nice restaurant was not allowed, not because someone said you couldn't, but because it showed a lack of respect to the establishment and others around you. This in no way relates to the issue in this thread, of course there are always exceptions. When we went to church, you wore a suit or dress slacks, shirt, and tie. Again it was respect for the church. I am now atheist, but even now, if I am going to go to a church, I still wear dress slacks and a tie and there is probably nothing more I despise in this world than most hypocritical religious zealots. There are many example out there that fit this bill. It isn't just about I should be able to do what I want no matter what. It about having some respect for yourself and other people, but of course that has been going out the window for years. You can say what you want, but there are reasons places have dress codes and in most cases I am all for it. No one is forcing anyone to eat there or go that establishment. -
Looks like a third grader created it. Read the comments, some of them are pretty darn funny. Don't think this is going to work out how they expected.

I don't know about everyone else, but I can tell you, I am not willing to pay anymore than I already pay to do anything different. Where does it stop? Everyone in Oklahoma wants us to put tornado shelters in every school, now SRO's and metal detectors in every school? Who's paying for this? Oh yeah, those of us who already pay for everything else, and many who don't even have kids. Sorry, but if you feel like your kids risk is too high, maybe you should consider homeschooling. Fact is, bad things happen every day and they will continue to happen. How many kids actually get killed in situations like this? In reality, not that many. Someone will say that 1 is too many, and while I agree in theory, you can't stop everything when you live in a free society. How many kids die each year playing a sport, probably more than you think and more than do in a shooting like this. The solution to all of this is not living in a police state. If they want to arm faculty and staff who are already employed ok.

Sad. Negligent Discharge kills man in Colombia.
Hozzie replied to billyscott's topic in General Chat
I am curious why he wasn't arrested anyway. I don't really care if he was drunk or not. Fact is, he is responsible for his actions and the negligence that took the life of another. Seems to me at a minimum it would be involuntary manslaughter. Not sure how someone can die in this manner and someone isn't legally responsible. Accident or not, he should have been arrested. If a jury of his peers want to let him off, so be it. -
Why do liberals feel entitled to 2 votes each?
Hozzie replied to Randall53's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Waste of time looking for something dramatic in this story for me. Almost guaranteed this is someone who thought it would be cool to try and make this up. I don't like Obama or the Dems, but I don't like people who pull this kind of stuff just as much. -
I think you see both. I think the trend for people really looking to/have to sell is after the credit card statements come in after the first of the year.

Has anyone ever had this happen to a savage 93 R17 before
Hozzie replied to byoung's topic in Gunsmithing & Troubleshooting
I have hundreds of rounds threw mine with no issue. It seems really odd that something like that could happen with the bolt closed. -
Gotta keep tradition in place. Have they produced anything else?

Boehner is a train wreck, especially with budgets
Hozzie replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I am not saying that at all, I am saying sometimes you have to give to receive. If you think there is any chance Republicans can gain any control ever again, they need to change their tactics. It's clear to anyone watching that what they have been doing is not working. If they keep doing what they are doing, they never will gain majority again, and worse I am afraid they may actually lose seats. In the end most people don't have the balls to do what is needed to turn this around. It will require people going hungry, homeless, and dying because the government won't be there to do everything. We will turn into Europe, it is only a matter of time. -
Boehner is a train wreck, especially with budgets
Hozzie replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I don't think it is that bad of deal. If the Republicans want any chance of winning a majority of seats and even the Presidency, then they can't always be seen as the "blockers" on everything. The majority of people are over that. Yes, there are some extra fees on things such as an airline ticket and some federal employees will have to pay more towards their retirement. Boohoo as far as I am concerned. I have to pay for my own. I am sick of a crisis every 6 months because there are fringe parts of both parties that won't compromise on anything just because they can. Do I wish they would blow it all up, sure, but that isn't going to happen. At least this was a bi-partisan effort even if everyone doesn't like it. We can wish all we want that things will go back to spending levels 10 years ago, but it isn't going to happen, ever. -
For those loading 300 Blackout
Hozzie replied to Dolomite_supafly's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
It is either $230 or $240, i can't remember. I am having an 8.5" stainless threaded barrel made for my Blackout build. Should actually be here any day as I ordered back in October. -
I bought a Rock River kit with Trigger, but will probably end up replacing the trigger with a Geiselle.

May have no affect or great affect. Really depends on the gun. Usually any rework decreases value unless it is a run of the mill gun. Since you have already reblued it, doing the stock isnt going to hurt it anymore. Sent from my GT-N5110 using Tapatalk

Night stand guns caliber and capacity
Hozzie replied to Duck's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Benelli M2 Tactical with 8 rounds. It is within arms reach. I keep a Glock 34 available as well, but would always go for the shotgun first. -
(She's now safe at home) My 14-year-old daughter is missing
Hozzie replied to TripleDigitRide's topic in General Chat
Sorry to hear this. I hope she is found quickly and ok. I am sure the police already have checked all social media as well for clues. -
I let the dealer take care of it. EDIT: I just realized you are not using a trust so you need fingerprints and sign off. I had a trust so I didn't need that (yet).

Yeah, I didn't see how far down he was. Wonder if he just thought he couldn't make it to the surface to not even try.

For powder, I think Accurate #5 is about as good as it gets. I like the Hornday XTP bullets: (it says flat nose, but I don't think they are). http://www.midwayusa.com/product/799330/hornady-xtp-bullets-38-caliber-357-diameter-158-grain-jacketed-flat-nose-box-of-100 This is from Accurate's Load data online for AA5: 158 HDY XTP 8.6 1,097 9.7 1,256 33,150 1.590 OAL Of course load low and work up. Not responsible for this load, please double check on your own.

No worries at all. I didn't take it that way.

TMF. I was definitely referring to Interstate or even 4 lane highway driving. Country roads is another matter. While I probably go faster than some, I don't get too caught up in someone going slower than me on a country road.....unless it is like a 50 mph zone and they're doing 30. Then it weares on me.
