K 32 makes more sense. The stamp for the letter wasn't that clear. Have to get out the magnifier.

I shouldn't have any trouble doubling my money after expenses, which is my minimum criteria when I make a purchase. I like the holster too. What else would fit in it, any idea?

Had an opportunity to buy this Iver Johnson Sealed 8 eight shot .22 for $25 so I took a chance. Locks up tight and it wasn't abused. No rust, no pitting. Haven't had an opportunity to research its DOB, but they were made between 1931-1957. Very nice holster. I couldn't pass on it. Anyone have any experience with the IJ?

Good eye. That too. :-) I'm surprised despite the marginal photo quality then you didn't see the three brass pins that were inserted to repair the split in the stock. Pretty good job and adds to the character. The current owner didn't observe that nor did she know the story on that.

I actually do. They were purchased new in the mid to late 30s to 50s and spent their game taking useful life in East TN. The rest of their lives were spent in a closet in FL and East TN with the Daughter/Grand Daughter until she sold them to me last week.

Vistar. Great lineup of gear and emergency supplies. Fortunately our outages were brief. Didn't need the space heater, generator, Coleman gear. I like the Jet Boil because it's faster on coffee than the Coleman. Life is too short to drink cheap beer or wait around for coffee. This stainless percolater makes a nice batch.

The beer was only a couple weeks old. I drank most of it already. The ammo is from Walmart I don't think it's over 7 years old.

Power went out again this morning. It was 1.5 degrees. House went from 64 to 59 in three hours. Voltage sag ensued for a few hours. A voltage regulator failed on the local utility system. I got up, built a propane fire, rounded up two lanterns, a couple flashlights, a headlamp, battery powered radio, scanner, cell phone, backup battery pack, jet boil, coffee pot, and oatmeal. Only supposed to go down to 19 tonight and warm up to fifty by the weekend.

Two More Vintage .22s One of my neighbors is moving to FL. They are getting on in age and none of the Kids wanted Great Grandpas rifles. I have known these folks for five years and they know my affinity for firearms. This was the first time I made an offer for guns where they refused my initial offer because it was too high!! I offered twenty five dollars less and they caved. I also received 100 rounds of 22LR and a 12 pack of Yuengling. I haven't dated the two exactly yet But they are roughly vintage mid 1930s. Remington Model 33 bolt action single shot. Winchester Model 63 Semiauto. Blowback operation. These two rifles spent their early lives earning a living hunting rabbits and squirrels in East Tennessee. They carry their minor scars of two generations of use with elegant grace. $150 for the pair. The Winchester easily breaks down in seconds.

Very nice. That's quite a present.

Remington Model 11 Marlin 39A.

Purchased two long guns, 4 handguns, some ammo and a couple knives on an estate sale bid. I wanted three items so I made an offer for all and an alternate for three items. Got it all. The handguns all came with their appropriate boxes which is always a plus and some paper work and owner notes. Number one. BERSA CC. About five years old. Carry clip, two, mags, Uncle Mikes Holster and a rug. I have had a BTT for seven years. Great guns for the money. Number two. Browning Buckmark. Original grips. Contours and a rug. Number three. Beretta 92FS. Three sets of grips. Five magazines including a high cap and a rug. Number four. S&W 686 no dash, 1984. First year of issue. 6 inch. So much fun chasing this stuff down. Win a few lose a few. Nice score this batch.

While in Scouts back in the fifties when Detroit iron was iron, we cooked tin foil dinners on the engine block while on the way to camp. Stop half way, give them a turn. Fifty miles and letting them continue to cook while setting up camp was about right if the chunks weren't too big.

39A Mountie from batch one and the 39A from batch two. The Weaver scope has good clarity so I'm leaving it on for awhile. I sure do like these Marlins. Two in two months.
