  1. Too easy..... Nice jump for the young man
  2. Just in case anyone is near a computer besides me.
  3. Bwaahhhhaaaaaa You had me at Hoot!
  4. LOL I could run circles around the land nav instructors for your info there Top! Being smarter than those doing the teaching and laying out of courses was fun! Ask me sometime about the Land Nav course at Ft. Lewis Washington and how I almost got called on the carpet for "cheating" it by finishing it so fast. All I can say is it involved some HOT NCO's (as in summer time) and a ROTC cadet who used his noodle to figure out how they laid out the course. Needless to say, I got to sleep for about 4 hours while the rest of the class stumbled about in the woods finishing up. Now turn on the Range Fan, it's foggy out there and we want to be able to see the targets. Bring me a box of squelch while your at it. The radios need filling.
  5. Always been a double standard here with age and being in the military. I was a newly commissioned 2nd Lieutenant on my way to Korea for my first assignment and passed through Nashville to see "my girl", "my folks" and have a meal with everyone. I was 20, a college graduate, assigned to a nuclear capable field Artillery unit and had been assigned top secret SCSI clearance but got carded at a steak house in Nashville and couldn't have a beer with my steak. Heaven's forbid.
  6. I'm higher than that. 56Fordguy is in good shape as well. By the way, getting to that certain hill will be problematic as the creek along that road in runs directly into Old Hickory. Better be here before rush. Bring food and ammo. Cash now gets you in before the prices go up!
  7. Primary topic, the failure of Wolf Creek Dam and how 2 days after it fails, Nashville is under 20 feet of water ! Interesting show. The CGI of Titans stadium with 20 feet of water in it, complete with floating "big finger" was a nice touch. Thousands of dams not being inspected and 1800 in "hazardous condition" I thought we paid for infrastructure to be a primary benefit of the stimulus plan? Anyone want to buy my home on the high ground in Westmoreland? Half Million dollars and your in ! !
  8. I have contributed absolutely nothing to this thread. Remember that
  9. Socks and time off to hunt with my son. Needed socks and they appear, life's good that way.
  10. You said.....Democ I just can't do it.
  11. Trucks! The new crack for 56Fordguy
  12. I use a standard RRA rifle with Eotech and 55 grain PSP (pointed soft points) or 55 grain nosler partitions. Obviously I'm not shooting out past 100 yards but where I hunt them, I'm in wooded areas and usually rested in a tree stand. Bronker, you want 5 or 10 of them Noslers? On a side note, one of the more memorable coyote shots and kills was when deer hunting. I was using a .340 Wby Mag that is now resting in another members safe (would like it back someday). Well Mr. Yote decides to take a stroll down the deer path I'm hunting over. This ticks me off so I decide he must not do so anymore. I give a stop call with him straight out in front of me, probably 25 yards. I center in on his front shoulder and touch off Armageddon in his time!!! It was a very frosty morning, probably 20 degrees and as I regain a sight picture through the scope all I see is a red cloud of mist quickly freezing and falling to the ground behind the now deceased and slightly tenderized yote. It had a strong visual component to it that you just don't see that often so it stands out to me. Back to hunting yotes with something a little smaller
  13. You have a liberal lap top
  14. Been there and worth the trip!
  15. "there was one"?
  16. offering one up now
  17. It ain't broke Vince ! Nice accessorizing Uker!!! She's real purty now. Can I shoot it?
  18. He is everywhere and he's seen your carpentry work. He is still smiling at his "child" at work. He's thinking finger paint next time! Back on topic! Loved it, will do it again, especially when I can buy more than a knife sharpener and a lowering line for hunting.
  19. Would that tail from one of the cats work?
  20. I have a butter knife and some Pluto stickers from one of the kids old sticker books. I'm thinking of creating an "elite" weapon. I have no clue where the idea came from....I'm like that.
  21. Take the scenic route through AEDC and possibly see some wildlife. Course ya gotta know left/right and north/south. Some of ya'll won't qualify! LOL
  22. "You have 7 days!!"
  23. Came home from work after going in at 2am and had the email hit at 1:09 PM so I thought I was in early. No searchfu working!!! My apologies for the double post but heck, it's worth saying twice. I'll even post in the third one that I'm sure will pop up soon.
