What chokes do each shotgun come with? I'll assume your Dad's is modified or full factory since the salesman said not to shoot slugs. Generally, I was always told that you want a cylinder choke barrel or choke if it allows them to be swapped out in order to shoot slugs. Cylinder meaning basically a straight tube with no narrowing near the muzzle. Modified is iffy and full chokes will be dangerous as you are shooting a bigger projectile than the diameter of the barrel. Shotgun Slugs

Lower cost initiative here. Stoeger P-350 with the XFT turkey choke. Courtesy of our own Magiccarpetrides. I only patterned it at 40 yards but I would say 50 is doable with a good rested shot. These are the low end Benelli's. The only drawback is you will feel the 3.5 inch mags as the poly stock is light! I'm thinking about a camo paint job but haven't found the time to find someone who can do it well for me. I don't trust myself to do it as there are no lines to stay in!

This is exactly why everyone needs several calibers of AR. 223 for coyote, 6.5, .308 or .458 for deer. When your talking to that guy in your deer stand and he's holding a bolt action Remy and your cradling an AR with the 20 or 30 round mag in....well the conversation will probably go your way.

Our simple right to even have them is totally wrapped in politics now so it will and MUST be discussed. 1911.org wants to talk just guns. Well I can buy a manual if I really need detailed info on guns. I'm here to talk to and meet people. I have met some of the best folks here and would not walk away from my ability to talk and discuss anything with them just because someone likes to talk the opposite side of the political spectrum from me. If there was not enough "good" here to keep him coming back and wading through what he felt was bull then it's his call. I hope no one talks anything but "work" at work or strikes up a conversation about the current state of the economy with him at a family gathering or he is going to be one lonely person given his proclivity to resign rather than discuss.

I just use a bunch of dessicant bags in a corner. You can "recharge" them by putting them in the oven on low heat for a few hours. Most folks don't realize how many they throw away in a year. I started just hanging onto a few of them and ended up with about 20. I then had a buddy at work ask if I wanted some. A supplier he stops at throws away big bags of them each week as some part they receive in comes with many of them in each box. I now have a bag of about 400 of the little bags so I'm pretty much set for years. No muss, no fuss, no cord holes in the safe.

Give it 10 years and you'll start to see it for what it really is cl. This of course precludes that you go out and join the work force and don't remain a professional student. Once you have seen others comparatively and start to wonder why, you're feelings will start to change. We all wish we could have the empathy of Jesus and the pockets of Bill Gates to fix it but what you'll find out is no matter how deep the pockets, the "have nots" will never try to take that step up and will always have that hand out and be willing to vote themselves a livelihood. I mean, when I stand behind the guy in the store and he buys steaks and other food items I can't even look at and whips out the old red,white and blue food stamp card then pays for his beer and cigarettes and climbs into his 2008 car...I get ill. Why? Well because he can and sees no reason not to. There's little stigma to it anymore, no one checks or pushes him to make himself better and there is law after law that protects him from needing to succeed. I hope your classes lead you to starting you're own business or at least manage one. Life is going to hand you some eye openers over the next few years. Enjoy now, it's never going to be easier than now.
