I like the set screws as well. The YHM end caps are free floats. They are actually a little bigger than they need to be IMO. Example below.

You did that well. Nice balanced look and smooth area to grip while rails where you need them, at the end of the rifle. Not the "advanced" but pretty much same results. I'd shoot that one.

Yep, Lee Universal to deprime so the primer pocket gets some cleaning as well. I use a small nylon brush with a wire core so it pokes the media that gets stuck out. You have to inspect the primer pocket and flash hole anyway, why not at this point?

That bites. I love the RRA / YHM stuff. Seems like they would have thought of that. You'll like the feel of the smooth but it kind of "deadens" the look of an AR to me, if you know what I mean. When you say smooth, did you get the solid free float tube or the smooth with ventilation? I had the vented version on the SOCOM and it allowed for rail sections to be screwed on so I could attach the bi-pod. The totally smooth tubes originally came with no holes or attachment points but I heard they were changing that.

Guess I'll go ahead and call Precision in Providence because if they are in the 50 range, I would rather have them do the work than Paul's shop, just based on what I've seen with the previous two encounters on the bike and one with the 4 wheeler.
