  1. Nope. Perfect for Tennessee deer.
  2. I hunted with an AR the past two years. The 458, it kills deer dead!!
  3. Ask away. Mike pretty much laid out the basics. What's not to like about shooting half inch diameter projectiles from 300 to 600 grains out of a standard looking AR. Just get the upper from RRA or order a custom from the developer of the round, Marty Ter Weeme, pin it on your current lower and start shooting! This round did finally get me into reloading, they are expensive to buy from the providers, but once you have a supply of brass, you can load the standard 300 grain JHP hunting bullets for about a buck a round. Once you pull the trigger on one, you'll find that's a great price for what you receive down range! I also want a 6.5 Grendel in my stable some day, thanks to Uker Duker for giving me that bug. Had a 6.8 but didn't see enough difference in effect down range from the 5.56 to make it a keeper. That's just me though, others really love them. All the other things you can do with variants in the AR15 and AR10 classes is amazing, find something you like and run with it.
  4. I got a rock
  5. Loving the interest here. Maybe we get enough of us going on this caliber and we get our own section of the forum. Big bad EBRs, 5.56 only wusses need not apply.
  6. I'm seeing a trend
  7. Go ahead and say it Mike. SAY IT, SAY IT ! (where is a Sam Kinnison video when you need it)
  8. Oh. Okay. Yeah, you run with that. It's, um, Katchy.
  9. State United Products Cleaving Lazy? What ?
  10. I'll be there!
  11. Isn't that where all the human feet and legs keep washing up on the shore? Maybe this is a clue to why!
  12. I'm glad you posted! I gotta go stop an FBI search team from kicking off....
  13. that much eh? I always knew it was a "goodly" amount.
  14. a quarter dozen or a light 6....since we're measuring stuff.
  15. so I provided the impetus for you today? I don't know if I can handle that amount of responsibility.
  16. I thought of several responses for you all but shall refrain as I still have a butt load of respect for some of you.
  17. You got the Sir part down, no need to practice meat. Just don't make eye contact when I'm looking at you! You eyeballing me boy!
  18. so many ways to go with this one but I can't
  19. yep, 13 days, almost two weeks, a few weeks.
  20. Not a drop Strel. You use it when you want to, it's called history. We know you. We have watched you post your drivel. Start posting up some things your trully grateful for having been allowed to enter this great nation then I'll listen to you. Also, simple check, open the phone book. Every business listed in it is making something for an American or for export. Be it plumbing service, the pipes that went in your house all the way to the engines on a space shuttle. True we are moving away from an industrial nation to a service nation for our work base. I could go on for hours again that a business would be crazy not to avoid the taxes and dealing with what American workers have become and that's why they move out of the US. I won't defend the looter businesses that would abuse a work force either. Both exist, but a lot of American's are at fault for driving business out of the nation either by their voting practices or their demands based on unions or union models where they attempt to make more than the service they provide can support. American's need to find their niche again and live within their means. That means if you don't have the skill or got the education to EARN a certain wage, you better get used to living where your skill set puts you and stop looking up with envy looking to loot the folks that make more by demonizing their ability or legislating it away. And once again, I'm done with responding to you till you figure that out.
  21. No reply to PM either. It's been a few weeks since he was on as well. I hope everything is okay down his way.
  22. Yeah Meat, wanna "talk" about it? LOL My randomly picked players will kick your randomly picked players butts, depending on the matchup and weather conditions of course.
  23. There is no other place with our type and brand of Freedom Strel. It's an American original, never to be repeated. It's also a world market right now. If we shut the border down to all trade and the only thing coming through were the illegals, we could shut down the worlds economy in a week. We still export believe it or not. Not another economy on the planet could exist if it weren't for American buying power. So in a way, everything coming here was made by and for America. If not, who would they sell to? Brasilnuts was bringing that in as response to your trolling for a response you could react to. Be it Healthcare or any other of the myriad things you have tried to insert your opinion on, it's shaded by a view most of us here don't react well to.
  24. I probably will be as well. Just don't want to walk in to it in the 4th round with Auto picks of someone I would have done differently. See you all there! Meat!
  25. Be sometime a couple of weeks before the hunt that I'll know. Not going to bring that up week one of the new job. LOL Thanks though, I may take you up on that as I don't do much camping. Depending on what our TN winter is doing, a tarp hung from a tree and a ground pad with a good sleeping bag might work to. Been several times I have hunted in plain camo sleeves in TN in December. Had to go ice down two deer one season on opening day when my Dad and I both got one and it was in the 80's. We shall see. Thanks again.
