  5. LOL So you are a loner, like to use the internet to talk to others. Your last name ain't Kazinzki is it? Are you in a cabin somewhere? Nevermind
  6. Like a lot of the others, I wear camo as it's kind of the uniform for why you are out and about early in the morning but I get what ever is the cheapest because as stated, deer can't see most of it. Scent is huge so taking scent precautions in how you wash and store the gear, no matter the color or pattern is a big key. One thing that has NOT been covered is noise though. I have some real tree jackets that are very warm, very comfortable but the stuff feels like velcro to my skin which is usually dry in the fall/winter hunting conditions. Raising your bow or rifle to the ready position and hearing a loud fabric tearing sound as your arms drag across the body of the coat sucks!!! I now use that jacket for wearing around the house, not hunting. The good smooth fabrics that have little friction do me the best. I store my hunting clothes in a big plastic tool box with a bag of cedar shavings spread on the bottom and in a pillow case on top. They travel to the field in a cotton laundry bag with cedar in a pillow case. I keep them outside the cabin so cooking or other odors don't get transferred. After a day or so of wear, the outer stuff gets waved through the smoke of a cedar fire to cover up any human scent building up on them. Lacking that, and I've taken the ribbing but I'll get it all on and find a nice thick pile of leaves and either roll in it (yeah funny to see) or use the leaves like soap and do a rub down paying attention to crotch, pits and NECK area. You transfer a lot of oils to the neck of your gear so take care of that area. In the fall, I have an old pair of military OD green coveralls that I use during bow season as it's a quick dress and being able to seal up everything but my face and hands keeps the skeeters that always still seem to be present at bay. I also use my turkey season face mask to keep them critters off. Rubber knee high boots complete the gear as they don't hold scent like leather. Hope that is of some help.
  7. RW has made it home. Roads were black and dry for the most part coming home. Kind of a let down.
  8. I've seen the slide to this gun and I tell you what folks, it's a clean smooth finish. It actually lets the underlying metals characteristics come through its so tight a finish. I'm having him do my XD as soon as I can grab funds and have a good back up pistol in place to use.
  9. About 3 inches it looks like as I peer out the window. I sure wish they'd give me remote access so I could do stuff from home. I'm good to go in the wife's little front wheel drive but I usually watch the other professional drivers hard on mornings like this. RW signing off for a bit. Woooohoooooo lets drive!
  10. I know what you're looking at AMSting. If you look at Lee's manual then get the Lyman's out, you can see different data for the exact same powder and bullet as far as charges. I tended to average the two looking for the middle ground and work up. I haven't found an OAL data that wasn't the same since that's based on the SAMMI chamber dimensions and the bullet dimensions but I guess there could be differences there for those that load to engage the lands and grooves and those that load just to get in the throat. Have been loading for over three years but not that many calibers to see a bunch of differences.
  11. I think the title of "Animal House" could change quarter to quarter (and yes, I was at UT before they had this semester thing). It all depended on the makeup of the most active members at that time. Our chapter was at times focused on philanthropic projects and participation in campus activities like student council and homecoming and would then change over to focus which package stores sold the cheapest kegs.
  12. TDOT cameras are as good as the old weather rock. I'm looking at snow covered interstate 40 in Memphis now. Looks like a good snow coming! TDOT Smartmap
  13. Been out twice looking for flakes since the blue moved over Metro Westmoreland, still nothing. No bird kills either.
  14. So you just crap in threads for the heck of it then since you "understand very well".
  15. Well now you tell me.
  16. Thanks for making my point Strel.
  17. It's like the expensive restaurant menu. If you have to ask, you probably don't want to know.

Page 18 Armadillo, beaver, coyote, English sparrow, groundhog, nutria, pigeon, starling, striped skunk - Open year-round, no limit.
  19. NOT legal in Tenn. Many states allow predator hunting at night but not here. Not yet anyway. We need to push for that. Why you can shoot a coon but not a yote at night is beyond me.
