Gotta disagree, the original XDs are great daily carry weapons. Like Oh Shoot, never saw a reason to upgrade to the M series. I did get a newer XD with the gripzone and my only complaint is they advertise it on the gun. That's a decent price but as said above, you add tax and TICs and it might be found cheaper elsewhere new.

They started liquidating last week. I went in the Bowling Green, Ky store and was looking at some .308 Pmags and a can of bulk .308 and a salesman actually asked if he could help, I said I was looking at those items but it was high, he handed me a scannable coupon for 15% off right there. Got what I needed at just above internet pricing but no wait. Will go back by again this week to see what's in stock and on sale.

For a piddly .308, come on man. I'll probably swap it out at some point for a RRA stock with the cheek stock extension.

You missed the PA10 sales from Easter and the following week. I just got one. I'll have a range report after next weekend. Upper and lower for 769 (phosphate no no frills and keymod forearm). Looks good, feels good. I've spent almost as much on mags, the scope and a small bulk can of ammo than I did on the rifle. Keep watching and looking, good deals to be had out there.

Your an immobile target at that point so unless you can stock months of consumables in a tank grade shelter, stay on the ground and stay mobile. Unless its a Zombie Apocalypse, and then yeah, your golden.

Got to see the box, never the equipment or lanyard but we had a "special" box for the M198's in our unit in Korea. I heard the lanyard was longer than 50 feet. And you had to be in a hole with so much earth or stone between you to pull it..... I was they guy that snapped a cookie and told em if they were ever gonna have to pull it.
