Keep knocking the darn pests down. They are one of the worst culprits of giving your position away to the other animals in the field. Some of you might not believe it but I have seen noticable increases in animal movement during seaasons where I can totally camo up vs gun season where the bright orange allows those SOBs to fly over and then circle the area warning everyone that "hes back" "hes back"

Don't know if everyone knows these guys but try out Georgia Arms for your pricing. I'm comparing the .40 S&W 180 grain FMJs and Sportsmans is 289 at the club price for a 1000 http://www.sportsmansguide.com/net/browse/browseammo.aspx?c=95&s=928 Georgia Arms is 205 for their "canned heat" which is their own production in new brass. http://www.georgia-arms.com/index.asp?PageAction=PRODSEARCH&txtSearch=.40&btnSearch=GO&Page=1 I just bought 400 rounds of .38 SPCL +P from them for 87.00 in the nickel case....shipped! Try them out folks.

Got the .380 for my wife a few years back and she loves it as well. Been trying to talk her into a 642 or maybe even a G27 but she has refused all offers so far. She does not carry, home defense or on the occassion when she ventures into the woods of Wayne Co. she will stick it in the holster and wear it while I service the deer stands and food plots. I have shot it several times myself and like the shooting but the action feels "clunky" compared to the SA, Kimbers and G22. That being said, it has not jammed or FTF on her yet so it will stay around.

When I picked up my G 22 at Hero Gear Wednesday, Dan told me I was number 246 for the year! Mind you, this was Wednesday the 2nd and no gun sales took place Jan 1st. Dan thought he and Joe had sold about 180 of em by the way!

Rock Rivers 9mms are apparently a blast to shoot but they have a lot of postings about problems with the mods to the magwell to secure the magzines correctly. Don't know about the Bushy's having the same issue but anytime your "modifying" an original, you tend to have issues. Wait a bit and you can get a RRA .40 S&W AR. That sounds fun too!

AK Armorer? 12 year old Iraqi who runs behind the jihadis and picks ups the broken pieces as inventory! Also beer cans and aluminum sidiing can work in a pinch as receiver repair material.

Yeah, if someone wants to save lifes, save mine! I die a little more everytime another politician wants to dip into my paycheck to pay for someone elses health insurance when they could work like me (us). Thats another "off topic" thread though so back to Glocks and 1911s living together! Oops, gotta run, my cat and dog look like they are going to nap in the same bed together and that just ain't gonna happen. After I get them seperated I'm going go milk my pig for another beer!

The magic is called "perseverence and commitement". Its amazing, try it! I have even heard that a pickle bottle can be used by those special persons who can manipulate these magical mysteries! You start with 5.00, and every time you have a few dollars you allow them to mingle with what was already there and the miracle occurs.....IT GROWS! You don't have to add anything else but pocket change and the singles you had at the end of a day out. Occassionally a special date will occur that will even make these speciall days amaze you, birthdays, IRS tax returns, job bonuses, cleaning the couch, they can all make the can contents grow and then, voila, you trade the contents for something else amazing! Thats it, try it, see if your a magician! If not your probably just a clone with lots of credit cards.

I'm going to close the door on them tonight and see if I hear any "bangs"! This is my first Glock. I must say I was influenced by all the talk about them here and of course intrigued by the acid tests I have seen them put through. Joe of course cringed when I was preparing to test the trigger pull on it and said something about baby Jesus crying everytime someone pulls the trigger on a Glock! So now I have both. The 1911 and Glock 22 reside together. We shall see what develops. Of course now I have 5 bucks in a coffee can that in two or three years will turn into a Wilson Combat! And by the way, Tungsten, I fondled your old Sig yesterday....it said it didn't miss you at all you bastard! It tried to follow me home but Joe caught it and put it back in its case. That and my wife giving it the ole "Stink Eye" ended any attempts at it becoming mine!

Can we all live together in peace and harmony? I will be researching this question in detail over the next few weeks as these two folks are now living together in my gun safe! Thanks to Joe at Hero Gear, a new social experiment is on going. Will the Kimber be able to restrain itself from making those "who is he to run around without a real safety" comment? Will the Glock contain his "do you really belief you could react as quickly as ME in a real life scenario?" (The 642 is resting quietly on the bedstand awaiting his next trip to work with me. He has refused all comment!)

Yep, the 642 and two speed loaders in jacket or other pocket.

There is a difference between an actual crimp where the dies compress a very tight ring around a cannelure or the bullet and compression of the mouth of the case to the bullet. You have probably seen that little ring of brighter brass at the mouth of the case when an actual factory crimp was applied. You need some pressure applied to the bullet mouth of the case no matter what your loading to prevent bullet movement during loading, travel or fireing, but an actual tight crimp is normally not needed for any loadings where the bullets aren't going to experience high Gs or be nose to tail as in the tube fed magazines. I don't apply any crimp to my rifle loadings other than a snug interface on the lip of the case. Pistols tend to have more "movement" plus a lot of pressure to the bullet when hitting the feed ramp so more pressure or a slight crimp is a good thing. Proper sizing of the case and not over belling the lip when you expand to put the bullet in is the best way to prevent the case hanging on the feed ramp or chamber. That was all good info above!

As posted elsewhere in this forum, I have 200 rounds of Amerc .45 that I will let go for a pittance should anyone wish to shoot them. If I had my old Ruger P-90 I would probably waste a day pounding them through that just to be done with them but all I have in .45 now is my Kimber and A-Merc is not allowed to be out in sight of the Kimber! 40.00 bucks 200 rounds! IM me. If your in the middle TN area we can meet half way or coordinate when one of us is closer to the other. Someone with a grease gun would love these.

:eek:I was just thinking how damn dangerous pencils and pens were as striking weapons! I have a pencil lead in my shin from where I was pestering a young lady in grade school in the desk in front of mine. She just grabbed her pencil and struck down and back and NAILED me! It's still visible 35 years later! Rulers, book bag with 5 books in it as a flail, shoe laces as a garrotte! Send em to school in Crocs, disposable paper suits and dry erase pens, its the only way to make it safe! Its for the children!

My brother just bought one chambered in 300 Win Mag and it is a wonderful rifle. It has that "feel" when you pick it up. Solid! I shot it twice and its a tack driver as well with his Leupy! The only thing I see as unpleasing is the look with the action bar being open on it. I know they didn't want a Marlin looking Lever action bar but that bar to drop the block just doesn't look good to me. I would still buy one if I needed another deer rifle and the price were great but its not something I'm looking for today. 2nd from left below:

Hurry up and get an Avatar, your nekkid! As soon as we can arrange the range time, ms.rogers and I will be doing some initial training. She will get to shoot my 642, my wifes Bersa .380 and if she feels like it I'll let her shoot the .40 S&W Taurus and a Kimber .45. I'll also intoduce her to the virulent disease ridden AR 15 as no trip to the range is complete without a mag dump on an AR for me!

Their teenage children are their responsiblity. I would think that if parents were deported then the children would go with them. We need to take the heart strings off this subject. As my moniker points out, I'm a wee bit conservative but from my reads on the SAVE act currently being worked up by some bi-partisan Congressmen, Heath Schuler being one of them, I'm liking something brought up by a Dem. It doesn't just say your illegal and the jack boots are coming. It is data collection and follow up by homeland security. It also provides for more border security funding. As with most legislation, its being worked on. If they add a bunch of pork to it I wouldn't support it. It may also already have some issues that I haven't seen but on the surface it looks like a first step. Here is a link for your perusal of some of the basics. http://www.humanevents.com/article.php?id=23279 -
Another Hornady TAP recommendation. I have shot Corbon ammo in my 458 AR and I would qualify it as excellent. Bill Wilson at Wilson Combat shoots the Corbon and I reckon he could afford to shoot pretty much anything he wants to. I'm getting ready to start working up reloads in .45 so I think once I get a good load data, I'll switch to that. After you shoot a couple of hundred of your own loadings you really start to trust them. I shoot better in my big bore rifles now that I don't buy much factory. Of late I just shot factory to generate brass and practice. Now that I'm comfortable with my reloads I'll probably just buy brass when these are to stretched to use anymore.

Funny thing was back when I was a shavetail Lieutenant in the U.S. Army I was making less than 25K a year and jumping out of airplanes. Training to defend my country! Not everyone lines up to do that either! Guess I should have gotten in on the beginning of the chicken deboning boom instead of possibly risking my life and limbs. Please also note that the illegals didn't always work! They had a workers compensation claim which is also a booming business in the illegal world. I have a little knowledge in that field as well having spent 10 years as a private investigator. So they are only here to work. Steal someones identity to work and then don't even do the work but live on the dole of an insurance claim. Salt of the earth. The further down this road we go, the less and less I can give them any benefit of a doubt. Sorry, just can't. I just can't see how we can allow them to continue to stay here.
