Kind of the point! If we put the kind of regulation on an item that kills often, daily and in HUGE numbers that they put on guns....America would revolt. We need those cars! Don't we??

I had to join in. The rifle is undergoing a change as I broke the darn scope on it two Sunday's ago (yes, its kicks a bit). There is one .223 round mixed in there for some comparison. Joe, bring your Zombie killer. You'll need to make it FULLY capable as you need many small holes for Zombies. I'm for one and done!

70.00 installed by my favorite gunsmith, Sam at Complete Gun shop in Gallatin. I bought two at the time and had both installed so I think he gave me a little break. You can order them from Midway or Brownells.

The model of your pistol(s) has some to do with it. Most modern, good quality pistols should have no problem shooting +P in limited quantities. You wouldn't want to put thousands of rounds down the pipe in +P due to wear and tear on the operating parts. For home defense, handguns are great due to their accessibility but you still have to remember that bullet can go through several walls with misses and most gun fights are mostly misses (and occur within yards of both parties). Frangible ammo helps lower the danger of through and throughs. Corbon's Safety Slugs are probably one of the better home defense cartidges. http://www.dakotaammo.net/products/glaser/glaser.htm High impact and fragmentation with less chance of penetration past the first impact.

Make it equal for all. 1. You can own a car, but you can't drive it in public unless it goes less than 50 and your licensed with appropriate fees. I suggest around 500 bucks. 2. You can own a car that goes over 50 only after being checked out and signed off on by the local sheriff that your able to own and operate your car that can go that fast. If he doesn't like you, you go back to the under 50 car. Your car is also reported to Washington. Fee 2000.00 3. You can own a car that goes over 75 only after full background checks and fees over 5000.00. Your subject to checks at anytime on the highway. Your the first one they come to if they decide to ban cars that go over 75. There is really no need to go over 75 anyway, why would you want to own a car like that? 4. Only soldiers, Po Po and the ATF can own and drive Ferraris, Porsches and Lamborgheni's.

Do it over here in Middle TN so the Vandy folks (I was nice) can hear us!

I would blame the ammo! Clean it up good anyway then do touch up cleanings (unless you shoot the howler stuff again) Like someone posted eleswhere in the forum, to much cleaning wears the gun out to! Keep metal to metal to a minimum and use solvents sparingly. If you can clean with the lubricants and patches do so. Its for the children.

WD 40 is not for guns. You definitely do not want it near a scope as it can penetrate around seals and allow the gas sealed system to evacuate ! If you had a rusty old gun you were trying to restore, maybe, then clean it again and use CLP. Is this an older pistol Steel? I use Kroil to do quick cleans and lubricate my pistols. Wonderful stuff (and locally made!) www.kano.com

Compact Stainless II (oh yeah, I highly recommend that even if you don't do magwells, switch out the main spring housing with a steel one. Kimber disappointed me by putting that on the gun. You can do an MSH alone or like mine as a one piece unit magwell and MSH. You can't see it but I really like the look as the MSH and Magwells are matte black and they look good against the satin SS)

I guess I'll be looking at the Kahr PM9 as well. That or a baby Glock for the wife. I traded her Bersa .380 for Jgrauman's XD40 so we could possibly have the same caliber but she doesn't handle the .40s recoil very well. Anyone looking to trade? Kahr for XD40 ported?

I love mine! Yes, lots of options for everything. I run Wilson Combat and ACT magazines in mine. I also upgraded with a Smith and Alexander magwell and the Hogue grips. It is one of my carries. Depends on where I'm going and what I want to carry.

WARNING This thread has the potential of now being X rated:eek:

Not to knock what has been posted but if you want to keep your quality firearms in quality condition, use the solvents and cleaners listed previously per the instructions (especially the copper solvents, they must be used sparingly and removed to prevent damage to bore and barrel) but most importantly, use a coated cleaning rod! Sinclair sells the best stuff but there are plenty of cheaper versions out there. The cheaper ones will start to loose their protective coating after a while but still better than metal to metal contact knicking your rifling. As stated previously, the best cleaning solution is use patches as tight as you can get them in the bore with a good solvent then oil, metal brushes should only be used to remove heavy fouling.

Make sure you use a public phone that is not in view of any of the traffic cameras. Also be sure there are no black helicopters in the area when you call. Immediately wipe the phone down when done with soft cloth:tinfoil:

Post some pics of what you were doing please

Guys, you gotta try Kroil ! Locally made since 1939, smells a little funny, is red going on but will clean and lube with the best of them. I use Sweets when I see copper fouling, then mop em down with Kroil. Fantastic stuff. http://www.kanolabs.com/google/ Available on midway and direct from Kano Labs.

Yep, Fatboy is what I use. I gave a TGO member a fanny pack in a recent trade as carrying anything bigger than a 380 in it was uncomfortable. I carry my G22 with a TLR-1 on it in the Fatboy with 4 extra mags, two check books and a wallet with no problem. You can also put a short tactical light in the pouch on the right with its velcro flap for quick access. Have never had a question about it.

Don't bother moving, if she gets elected it will be just like Canada here. Lots of liberal, socialistic policies in life and at work as well as lots of languages no one else understands. Been there, came back quick. Lets hope those conservatives that didn't get out and vote show up with a vengenace in November. -
Well if that one is gone, I'll sell ya mine with all the additions for 1K and make you feel really bad!

Did it look like this one? (minus the Hogue grips and magwell) Compact Stainless II. 600 would be a steal if in good condition.

Excuse Me can I borrow..?? Panhandlers!!
Rightwinger replied to a topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Sore subject! I wish I could recall who first told me the story of how Jesus or Angels would come among us in this fashion to see if we were kind and cared for our brother. Every time I see one of the pan handlers that darn story comes to mind and I'm troubled. I have given in the past to some of the worst hoping they would at least get some food before they got the booze or drugs, I couldn't help it. I did a short stint of 8 months in downtown Nashville (nobody shoot me please) as a ticket writer while waiting for the Metro Academy to schedule and fund their next police academy. I passed this one guy every morning sitting under the Gay street bridge. One morning, the story got me so I rode the little cushman scooter to McDonalds, bought a big breakfast and took it to him. He set it down and then asked for money as well. I said I would not give him any money but if he wanted I would bring him some food when I was working in that zone. He declined and seemed huffy. Since then I have been willing to take the chance that its an Angel. I hope God forgives me but I won't try to support these folks anymore. 80% could work as we all know and choose their addictions over responsibility. Its nothing we can help with! -
Bob Corker Speaks Out Against the $150 Billion Stimulus Package
Rightwinger replied to waynesan's topic in General Chat
The Fair Tax would be more difficult to "juice" than you think Rabbi. This would trully allow market forces to work for us. Prices (the hard rate which includes the cost of materials, production, marketing plus profit rate) for end products would go DOWN after the intial increase which allows for the "tax" to be added at the Point Of Sale. How would the grifters get caught? Easy, all products, widgets, etc, are either final assembled product from parts or a single piece product. They have an inherit cost for basic materials that the price for is market driven. Anything where a competitor can substantially (20-30%) undercut others in the market would have obviously not paid a portion of the fair tax somewhere along the line. This would be instantly obvious and competitors would drop the dime on them. As business reacts to not having to deal with the administrative costs of taxes (payroll and purchasing) they would then begin to compete at the basic levels again, marketing, quality, best business practices that would allow them to lower costs and out compete their counter parts. A 10 foot steel rod costs about the same for any mill to produce. Where they succed in the market place is being able to sell with quality, timeliness and the best price. All the mills are trying to sell their steel rods, when or if someone comes in 20 percent under everyone else, they better be able to prove they had developed a better way to do so with the same raw material, methods, and marketing! If not the only remnant of the IRS, or whatever monitoring body comes from this would deal with them. I like the fair tax! Read the book(s). More info than I can spill out here in a post. -
