  1. No you didn't just say that!
  2. If you need to communicate with Frank he checks the Tennessee "Hometown" forum on ARFCOM almost daily. He goes by OEF-VET there. AR 15.com is not just for those with evil black rifles (but it helps to have a few). http://www.ar15.com/forums/forum.html?b=8&f=38

  4. Awesome ! Sounds like the problem is statewide for some of us. Seen some hens, no gobblers or even jakes. The ones we could get to gobble would not come over and play and now they aren't even talking. Congrats again on a fine turkey.
  5. Nah, don't worry about it Mars. American's are used to authority figures who don't know what the rules or policies of the job they hold are. Wait, was that Bill Clinton that just walked by??
  6. Mine is a little older......................wanna see?
  7. Answer the rest of it though, not just the portion where I agree that your legally able to carry a weapon and not have a lick of practice with it. The govt also doesnt tell me I have to go to the dentist, or shower, or a myriad of other things. Responsible, competent adults do these things because of Common Sense (see my other post under DEATH Notice). You can't try and turn portions of arguments into postivie features of a point your trying to make. As a private investigator (my second or side job) one of the first things we would check was prior suit activity. You are a red flag on so many levels. You asked us by posting the question. You knew we would answer. You don't like many of the answers but the majority is against your manner and methods. Quack Quack:blush:
  8. No, no, no...that is a purely individual requirement. Just like I don't want them telling me how often I have to change the oil on my vehicles. The smart car owner changes it regularly. The idiot is paying the mechanic to replace the seized parts because they didn't do the minimum, yet not regulated, maintenance to be a responsible auto owner. You own a couple of vehicles, you seem to care about them with the programmers your wanting. Do we dare use the logical statement here you have been trying to pound into everyones minds here and on Glock talk? IF X = Y THEN ?????
  9. Oh crap....I see a whole new thread hijack coming with that statement. Moving on, moving on......
  10. Don't know what year it was made but it was bought last fall so I will assume 06 or 07 model. Why on earth would they design or produce it to look dirty?? Looking at that schematic on Brownells, looks like I could mess this up pretty quick with all the small pins and parts ! May just let Sam at Custom Gun Shop have a bit more work.
  11. .Her last name is kind of "fitting" in this case (pronounced sue me??)
  12. THE DEATH OF C. SENSE Sad news. Mr C. Sense has died. London Times Obituary of the late Mr. Common Sense 'Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape. He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as: Knowing when to come in out of the rain; Why the early bird gets the worm; Life isn't always fair; and Maybe it was my fault. Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in charge). His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a 6-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition. Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children. It declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer sun lotion or an Elastoplast to a student; but could not inform parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion. Common Sense lost the will to live as the Ten Commandments became contraband; churches became businesses; and criminals received better treatment than their victims. Common Sense took a beating when you couldn't defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault. Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement. Common Sense was preceded in death by his parents, Truth and Trust; his wife, Discretion; his daughter, Responsibility; and his son, Reason. He is survived by his 4 stepbrothers; I Know My Rights, I Want It Now, Someone Else Is To Blame, and I'm A Victim. Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone. If you still remember him, pass this on. If not, join the majority and do nothing.' -- Failure is the opportunity to begin again more intelligently. - Henry Ford
  13. No tresspass means just that, tresspass. Any person with a valid reason to approach your residence can do so. I could have served you those papers and you could not sue me per TN law. I had an obligation to approach your residence just as you had a reason and right to approach the person your suing. You, just as that person can then inform the other person that they are on private property and you (or they) wish you to leave. As stated before, I would say you are served and exit the area. The meter reader will note your KWs used and leave, etc etc ad nauseum. Dude, this Everest you've built over the mouse turd general sessions law suit is amazing. Calm down, get with Marty and get it taken care of. Hire a PI to serve your papers next time (it will be around 100.00 bucks if they have to find an address) The majority isn't always right but with what you've stirred up on Glocktalk and here, you have to admit your not winning any hearts and minds. Please don't represent yourself in front of a judge on this. Have a better day tomorrow (I got soccer all day too) I'm out.
  14. It did not matter if he was on or off duty. The only thing neccessary was that he be of legal age in the State of TN to serve the papers. You should have asked him how old he was? To many people have watched to much TV and think they know how to avoid service. When I have served supoenas on folks, they have tried to say I didn't "touch" them with it as a defense to not show up. Once I have identified them "are you Sum Beech?" and they say yes, all I have to do is state that these papers are ordering you to appear and you are served.
  15. Very nice. Ya done good. Next time use a sheet over your head when you put the little pins in! A white sheet will let enough light in to see. An exacto knife will keep them compressed until you can slide the take downs pin in. Bought that spare pin and spring kit yet??
  16. If he has the parts in stock, Tony Rumore will sell you anything he's got. The problem he has is one I wish we could all be in....to much business! Hit his website and see if he has what your looking for. As far as the drum for the Saiga's, I have never seen him offer one but I haven't been to his site in a month or two.
  17. ARs in 223, 204 Ruger and 458 Socom with a stripped lower waiting to become something. Used to have a 6.8mm but sold it to Joe at Hero Gear. Everything else is singles now.
  18. Mine hasn't started discoloring on the frame (Hogue styler rubber grips might be the difference) but I note that the trigger on that one is "gunky" like the one on my 642. I would like to buff that trigger but have never cracked the frame open and basically I'm afraid to do so. Anyone got any solutions to get the trigger cleaned up on these models? I love the little gun but have not loved that trigger which always looks dirty to me.
  19. You'll like the Kimber Custom II. Love mine, no issues, even before I swapped out the polymer main spring housing for a steel one with magwells.
  20. Pressing the roll pins in is a valid method of installation. Its even shown on ARFCOM with a pair of vice grips taped up to prevent scratches. Just beware of putting the trigger guard pin in. Those two small extensions from the receiver don't take pressure well and you'll end up breaking one of the wings off ! ! The hammer thing is just a precaution against marring your receiver. Even with a brass hammer if you strike the body, "that's gonna leave a mark". You can buy a kit from Cheaper Than dirt that pretty nice. I think I have seen it listed for less eleswhere but that's where I bought mine a few years back. http://cheaperthandirt.com/TOOL502-923-902.html
  21. Any quality lower parts kits should work. (I prefer Rock River 2 stage) Don't bother greasing or oiling the roll pins, they like to get away as it is! Don't add to your problems. Protect all the areas around your lower where your going to be tapping on the pins. Masking or electrical tape will work. Make sure you have a bronze hammer and punches to tap on in. If you haven't already found it, use the step by step guide on ARFCOM http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=3&f=4&t=226782 A new bolt and carrier group should work with no issues as long as its a quality one to mil spec. Check how much wear is on the original as it is also wearing to the lugs in the chamber and extension. If its really worn you may want to look elsewhere or plan on putting a new barrel and extension on it to match well to your new bolt. When you get down to it, a brand new upper (RRA, STAG, DPMS, etc) isn't much more than what you would pay piecing it together after you add shipping
  22. I think I'm a little aroused after that ! What a sound and what a plane. Now I'm getting torn between going turkey hunting or heading to Smyrna.
