after the video you linked us to in chat, a deer tongue creeps you out!
-
but my brother did. Opening day of gun season. Possibly big enough to make the books. 13 points and field dressed weighed an estimated 170. Took three of us to haul it up in the truck. I saw a chipmunk on the next ridge over. Sigh

Only when a T-rex or Mastadon come rolling by! But thats why I have a magazine with 6 rounds in it

Remington 55 grain Premier Accu tip boattails! My son uses a single shot Rossi .223 and he got his first buck with it last year. One shot, 2 steps, dead deer.

Liberals only get to watch from the business end Bronker! Anyone who is seriously even thinking about going big bore, I will get with and let them shoot this thing. Its to much fun not to share and I like introducing folks to it. You probably have to buy the biscuits or lunch though! and yes, its packed up right now and sitting next to the dresser with the other bags to load up in the morning. I"m leaving for hunting as soon as I can get off work tomorrow afternoon. I hope to deliver some 300 grain goodness Saturday morning.

Cold just means you don't have to hurry to a cooler with your first deer, ya get to keep on hunting. I'll hear you guys Saturday morning, when it sounds like CWII is starting! I love hearing that first shot roll through the hills on opening day.

Kahrman, what would you like to know??? hahahah Own a 458 SOCOM made by the designer himself, Marty Ter Weeme of Teppo Jutsu in Texas. He has licensed the design to one company, Rock River Arms for mass production. The best thing about the Socom in my opinion is the selection of bullets available for it. Anything in .458 from 250 grains to monster 500 grain bullets in solid, hollow point and they have even loaded some smaller bullets in 458 sabots. 458 uppers pin right on any standard 5.56/.223 lower and uses the same magazines only the rounds single stack. I'll be using mine Saturday. Triple Digit Ride has shot it. Give me a holler when you want to test drive it as well. Lots of info over on 458socomforums.com Here is a comparison pic of .223 and the .458. Not my rifle but similar Here is my rifle

Did you participate in National Ammo Buying Day?
Rightwinger replied to Mike.357's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
Not much but 500 round box of .22LR 20 round box of 12 gauge field loads so the wife can get used to the 870 One box of .45 WWB -
Then nope, the only M2s I ever shot were the "fullys" back in the 80's when I was much more tactical. Of course there was that one beast of a gun that we could never quite get the headspacing right on that qualified as a bolt action. BANG....rack the bolt. BANG....rack the bolt...sigh

Duracoat that bad boy! You'll have an issue baking it in though....hmmmm Is it fire retardant? Seriously, polish the thing down with a sander and paint it any color that matches your personality and decor. If you don't like it, do it again!! Parkerized black would look cool!

So I don't violate any rules I'll only post the link to the thread. You might find it informational as well if you were ever thinking of getting a big bore upper to add to your collection of EBRs. You'll need to become a member of either 458Socom or 68forums to participate but its free and you can learn more than you ever wanted to about the 458 or the 6.8 SPC. The group buy will be for standard AR magazines. The rest you can read about and make an informed decision. All are welcome to come in and look around. http://458socomforums.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=380

You got any maps of Wyoming?

anyone here know if I'm married (shut up TDR)? anyone know if I had sex recently? I don't discuss it, no need to, its a very private thing. I don't care if they are straight, bi or dirt road MO! The moment anyone wants to make an issue of who they did the dirty with last night they are unprofessional and need to go. It disrupts unit integrety. I wrote 3 more paragraphs expanding this but you either agree or don't and my little addition to the bytes in cyber world won't change anyone's mind. I say repeal "dont ask don't tell". Ban them again altogether. Its not a social experiment, its the defense forces of America. If they seriously want to serve, they will keep their secret to themselves just like those that like to do recreational drugs. If you gotta do it, you risk losing your job! I'm sure many have done just such a thing and served to retirement only to move in with Bobby Joe afterward when it no longer matterd. Just say no to male roosters!

I'm watching Fox 17 and they just showed the boys and girls at the Bowling Green Corvette plant rallying to show their support of the bailout! Hmm....not once in all this have I heard the Union reps or members state that they would be willing to assist keeping their jobs by lowering their contracted wages. I think 80 or 90% of what I'm making now would be better than nothing if the job goes away totally or what the union might give me for a few weeks until the coffers were dry! They just do not get it! Hold the hand out till there is nothing left. I do not think congress ought to bail them out. There is enough impetus in these giants that if they grow a pair and lay out the facts and tell them "folks, we have to make X amount of dollars to keep the doors open vs what we pay out to you and the suppliers" they might have a chance to recover. The supplier base is already being low balled to death as are the 3rd party logisitics providers. I could be cutting my own throat as I work for one of the aforementioned 3rd party logistics providers. We serve both Chrysler and GM locally and all the big three nationally. Build a good product, price it competively for its value and pay the correct number of employees to build it. Its simple math. You will never succeed paying someone 28 dollars an hour to use an airwrench 60 times an hour to run in 4 bolts that any 18 year old out of highschool with a Xbox education could do! I say let the chips fall where they may. If it gets real bad, I'm off to points unknown with the Fox fire books and some seed corn! Where was that survival forum at again?
-
Mike, File greivances every chance you get on Union reps for not addressing petty issues that you bring up. Take it to their bosses and keep them uneasy. Get your 60 dollars worth!
-
Unions are dinosaurs living with us today. Another perpetuated class war between management and workers. It builds walls, not productivity. All the above are excellent points.
-
No its not, have you seen Missouri?

RISC777, This will be a great part to the survival section. I already tagged the "scanner" recommendations thread that spawned this one. My first request/suggestion Please tell us all what the rules are regarding mobile scanners I have heard that having a scanner in your car is a no no as LEO believe your using it to gather intel or evade them. I am a former scanner listener (have an old Uniden in the shop) but it doesn't pick up much anymore. As soon as I can pay off a few more debts I want a new one and will look to your references for my decision on which one to get. RW

why no, why do you ask? That's my colostomy bag causing that lump you silly man.

This should be etched in marble on a wall in DC so everyone can see it!
