Yeah, that's the appeal for us that have lost the will to game! I guess there is some strategy when picking your fights. It's basically like the old board game RISK. It rolls the dice for you and if your lucky, you win. Of course picking opponents with less health points helps.

Just be very cognizant of the support teams already in the area. Tennessee is blessed to have a lot of volunteers when these things happen but the areas don't want a lot of un-organized help pouring in. We tried to go into Lafayette last year when that one came through and got stopped by deputies. They wanted to know who we were going to help and where. We said just point us to it and he didn't know where to send us that first day. I think they were being cautious of looters. Anyway, a lady where I work lived over there and her home was totally blown away (trailer, go figure) so we went to her house the next day and cleared her yard of downed trees. Just be aware that they may ask these questions. Even though we have some of the best citizens around in my opinion, we also have the low lifes that think a tornado is carte blanche to go wandering around "finding" stuff.

I should have clarified my post as they are not really "talk shows" in the normal venue where occasionally Rush or Jim Rome will let someone call in and then speak to it for the rest of the segment. I may be on the "right" of things but I still see that Rush is promoting Rush as much as the conservative agenda. On the trip home now, I love Phil Valentine when I get a chance to hear him. He's good people. He's gone syndicated now so you folks in east and west TN could probably pick him up somewhere.

Don't worry bout it Although he missed on the "trailor", I am no longer the trim youth I was back in the day. I will say though that although I have a gut, I have no ass! The "news" is generally along the lines of what you get from NBC/CBS/ABC etc but when they go into their "topic" talk shows, you either get no representation from the conservative side or that rep gets talked over pretty quick. It's not as bad as the Quomo show was in it's short lived stint but it's still pretty clear that they have a leaning to the left and they are funded by the goverment or they wouldn't exist. That is why the "fairness doctrine" is raising it's head now. Lib talk shows can't make money in the radio market so they have to be funded to continue.

I have little time for radio any more, just to and from work and I tend to listen to Frank Wycheck push Mark Howards (lib) buttons! I do still wander over to the plethora of NPR stations just to see how and what is being presented by the other side. I used to listen all the time to NPR after Halloran Hilton Hill when I was based in Knoxville. Then switch over to Rush or G. Gordon depending on where I was and what I could get on the radio. I did lots of traveling. The old saying holds true "keep your friends close but your enemies closer"!

After seeing your avatar the last couple of days Jcochran88, I'm going to have to ask you to remove it as "flinging cravings" is illegal in 32 states and the nearest McD's is Lafayette or Portland.
