    wow.

very shy and humble as well 2how:p
  3. Yes sir! Just pin the upper to your standard AR lower and load up your standard magazines with the single stack .458 cartridges. You don't get the same capacity of course. I could get 7 in a 20 round mag and I think 11 or 12 in a 30. I have even seen them loaded in a beta mag! Nothing like sending 400 grain bullets down range as fast as you can reacquire and pull the trigger! Mine is currently residing with Kahrman but the deal to return it has been set. This is what she looked like with some "boolits" in the foreground.
  4. Hit the dreaded AR15.com. Lots of information plus step by step tutorials on putting them together. Agree on spending more money on the uppers, especially the barrel selection. Rock River Arms is my choice for AR parts. They use Yankee Hill manufacturing for their standard rails if you go that way. Agree on the Magpul systems for stock. If your going precision shooting, go with the PRS adjustable though. Only thing I would go thumbs down on is the 50 Beo. Get a 458 Socom from RRA. More bullet and speed selection. Better shooting specs. The 50 Beo is a pistol round and can't push the variety of projectiles. You can go from subsonic to lightning fast with the Socom. 86 grain aluminum HPs all the way up to 600 grain solids. Several vendors on here have or are advertising quality lowers in the 150 to 200 range. Jump on in.

    DVD Problem

See if it allows for the country code to be changed. Maybe it got knocked off the US code and is trying to watch French discs now! Change it quick though because all you will be able to watch is "Amadeus" and "How to loose a war in 40 days"

    270 scope

Burris Full Field II is a very good scope for the price as well. 3x to 9x minimum for what you're seeking. Check out SWFA.com for good stock and prices.
  9. Yep, we kid the ones we care about. Got nothing to say about Strick though!
  10. So can we call you Izzy now Mike?
  11. Bwaaahhhh.....I did read that comic and did not make that connection till you posted this. I don't care who you are, that's funny!
  12. Ya'll quit it, I don't blush well. Besides, it's all an evil plot so that I can handle everyone else's firearms to curb my addiction. I actually own no firearms!
  13. I can also be bought for Hooter's Three Mile Island (all drums please)!
  14. I have the Cabela's knock off version or something similar and yes, they are worth it. You didn't post a link to it but mine has an attachment to go over the laser head and it spreads the dot to a line and it has a level on it so you can level out your scope cross hairs and THAT is worth it right there! Trying to get your cross hairs straight up and down by looking down it is tough! Boresighting and seeing the dot down range is a great way as stated to get on paper and saves on getting a good zero!
  15. The other pocket has the big wad of Duct Tape for the big jobs!
  16. Do you still want me to swing by tomorrow? I just broke into the "Oh Shoot" kit and had another retainer pin to bring by. If you're going to keep an AR around, get this pin and spring kit from Rock River. It's great for when something wears, breaks or goes "sprong" across the room. At the bottom of the list, AR3256 Rock River Arms: Tools and Cleaning

    body armor

I think it was three LA Police Officers that got killed a month or so ago, WHILE wearing their body armor as they walked up to a traffic stop. Two were motorcycle officers. Yeah, they need to wear it all the time and even then they aren't safe. So I guess they do "walk" into it sometimes.
  18. I'll concede that if you are going into the bolt then those suckers are a PITA. I thought you were talking about the charging handle spring and was trying to figure out how you launched it much less lost it.
  19. I was going to ask you why you had two phones the other day. Guess we all know why now!
  20. When you have nothing to shoot at because your phone's beeping you do get bored.
  21. AR springs I understand....been there done that, still got one hiding under the bed somewhere... But how do you loose that 8 inch spring on a 10-22 !?? Dude, Walmart has cheap eye exams and glasses, do you need a ride? Really, have you had that spring get loose? Or are you talking about going into the bolt and extractor itself. I don't even go there! To scary.
  22. Not that I have heard.
  23. Grey Poupon snob
  24. I have been known to waste an entire Sunday watching 9+ hours of racing. I'm thinking today may be a lot of "rain delay" on both of them though. So who else loves watching two of the "better" races all day each Memorial Day? (You haters just suck it up and go watch Iron Chef or something. We all know they all go round and round and you don't think their athletes and such)
  25. Posting in a vendor's thread? I think they set that up so as not to allow anyone to trash up a thread with minutiae or god forbid, if someone has a disagreement with that vendor. That type of thing never happens on the interweb!
