They are the ticket although there is a newer knock off of it that has like 6 brushes and won't mess with your vanes. If I can find it again I'll post it. You won't have any issues with a biscuit though. Since I put one on the PSE its like night and day over the ole two prong rest. Get one and hunt!

If this is your first, find someone that has built an AR before to check it out. Oly is known to have had issues in quality that caused little things like your take down pin holes not to line up good! I think I would go ahead and save another 50 to 100 and get a good one like RRA, Tactical Innovations, Sabre, etc. All can be gotten locally right now and are trending downward in price since the spike is over! Spikes is another good lower but some of the vendors here can chime in on how they gouged them during the rush.

Except for the cross calibers you come out on top moving up to the XD. I have gotten rid of all my .40's and .38's to stay within the 9mm and .45 ACP so I don't have to keep so much different ammo. I reload for .45 and will be doing 9mm as soon as I get off my duff and get some dies. Something to think about. Of course once in the XD, you might be able to trade for a XD45 if you consider the caliber differences an issue.

We hunt in southern middle Tennessee primarily. Those are both Wayne County deer. Taken off privately owned and leased property (side by side, that's why we leased it) The properties southern border is against the Eagle Creek Wildlife Managment area where there is public hunting. The area also has other hunt clubs in it. We don't have a hard core feeding program but we do offer the deer corn and winter wheat in the hottest times of summer, the off season in winter and put out plenty of salt licks.

Your right, we must do something to make bigger bucks. These little things just won't cut it. Brothers taken this past fall My best back in 03 We manage ourselves but do have other hunters in the area that we can't control. Still getting good deer almost yearly.
