Plain jane Savage 110 with an aftermarket trigger kit and thumbhole varminter stock in 30-06 I also use the 458 Socom AR quite a bit now and will use a Mosin for the first time this year just to do it.

I have done the brake fluid and regular dry chlorine powder for pools. YES it starts a fire like crazy and yes you would be crazy to even carry these in the same vehicle. And yes the smoke will eat your lungs! And yes, they will eat through a trucks bed after being combined. So I hear anyway.

Need AR-15 trouble shooting help...
Rightwinger replied to THE COOP's topic in Gunsmithing & Troubleshooting
The pics don't show any reason it shouldn't be shooting Coop so I would go with the big clean and lube as well. If you can, soak your bolt and carrier in CLP overnight and then get in there with pipe cleaners and brushes. I like having a pin/spring kit for ARs from Rock River. It's called the "Oh Shoot" kit. You could also order the firing pin as well. Firing pin is $7.50 Rock River Arms: Upper Receiver Parts Oh Shoot kit is at bottom Rock River Arms: Tools and Cleaning -

Stick the firing pin in the bolt and take a pic so we can see how much pin is protruding through the bolt face. Take the ejector off first so you can get a side shot. Also need a pic of a primer or two. -

TDR my friend, I just woke up but I looked at the radar and dude, it's going to be raining on the route all day! It's rain from Montgomery AL to Clarksville right now and that stuff is pulling to the low in Arkansas and is traveling north west. I want to ride but this one will need a boat I'm afraid. -
I would be the guy on the tree if you can do the squat walk!

Well your the boss on this one. Leaders have to make hard calls sometimes. We can wait or make a call and start the replanning phase. What about a ride to the TGO/Barrett shin dig next month? I would miss a day of hunting to do both, otherwise I'm only available 2010 I'm afraid. -
pant pant....wheeezzee. Okay, I just saw Bronker and McFlurry in my minds eye doing this and I CANT BREATHE

Lets check the radar in the morning and you make the call based on what we all see, oh say around 7 AM. That should give most that were traveling a bit to get to the rally point time to make the final decision. I want to go! -

I'm still in if it drops below 30% and the radar looks pretty clear when we head out. If there is green already on the radar then I probably wouldn't risk it. 250-300 miles of low visibility and lower than normal traction plus normal TN drivers would prohibit me! -
Yep. More time getting the gear on than driving. I had to go up the hill to the Lowes parking lot and back. The testing officer could not even see me for 80% of the test.

Some primers can be substituted. You could use a Magnum primer in some small pistol loadings if you backed off the charge. To me, there is to much room for error and don't want to bother with the work up. There is enough of that with proven loadings. Now, using rifle stuff in pistol....no way. When you start going outside the boundaries like that you risk lots of problems. The biggest to me would be a primer extending outside the cup that could be fired while moving in the magazine or entering the chamber. Do not do this stuff! Even with an experts advice, I would stay away from hodge podge loading. Doing it the tried and true way has enough problems to manage on its own to be adding any more potential for failure.

Yeah, sadly I don't do rain rides! I'm skeered of the rain on my bike. As I should be I think. I have seen the LEO on the Trace many times. Most are in white pretty low key vehicles which are a little harder to spot until they are right on top of you. I was doing 55 headed north two trips ago and he didn't turn on me but he did flash his blues for a moment to let me know I had been noticed! I've never seen them set up radar spots because they keep on the move but I won't be zipping on the Trace. Now Highway 64 is a whole different ball game!!! LOL -
Uselton's little secret is a quality smith who uses Caspian frames last I saw. They are mostly off the shelve items. I once wanted magwells for two 1911s and Sam had two Smith and Alexander magwells waiting to go into some of Uselton's guns. They were ordered from Midway! 2500 dollars for a "high end" 1911 means about 1200-1300 profit for Rick! Go see Sam or Phil at Goodlettsville Gun shop.

Para Ordinance Lite Hawg .45 sub compact. Only thing good about it was the looks. Wouldn't shoot for poo!

I have twice the trouble with these things now. Our cabin is left unattended for weeks at a time so its nice and quiet. The bees are busy burrowing in the 2x4s supporting the porch roofs. Like you guys we kill em when we see them and stick things in the holes. The last two years though something is digging in to eat the bees! We believe it's woodpeckers that have found these easy pickings but now we have holes from the bottom going up into the 2x4 from the bees and long ugly holes in the sides of the 2x4 from the birds attacking and eating the bees! I'll get pics of this next time I'm down there.

Like it could get any bigger?

2x the football for the Winger tonight. The Westmoreland Eagles won in a nailbiter by going ahead with 39 seconds left in the game 22 to 20. East Robertson has a running back that is blinding fast. They threw a 40 yard pass on the first play after the kickoff, then with 9 second left this kid broke to the right for ER and was down the side line! Our safety knocked him out of bounds at the 5 to save the game. Then I come home to this!! Good night of football. I love this game.

After not riding for 18 years, I got the bug to get back on them a year and a half ago when gas was hitting the 4.00 mark. I got a Suzuki GS500F as was mentioned a few pages ago. I like the response of the sportbike layout and this one while fast enough, is not a rocket like the Gixxers or Ninja's. It hauls my 6'1 270 around well enough (it may have hit 110 on a test surface somewhere....shhh). They look good, get great mileage (62mpg has been my best) and the bonus...insurance is nothing near what those extra letters will throw on you. I have a super clear record, no accidents or tickets and my yearly payment through Progressive was $226.00. They mentioned that if it had been a GSXR it would have been much more, at least double if not more. Yeah I own one so I'm biased.
