This is the reply I got from him yesterday:Dear Kevin,Thanks very much and letting me know what’s on your mind regarding the right to bear arms.I’m a strong supporter of Second Amendment rights. Congress should not pass laws that take away these rights from law abiding citizens and leave criminals to terrorize the streets. Good citizens don’t abuse guns – criminals do. I will continue to support legislative efforts to protect the Second Amendment rights of law abiding Americans, and oppose efforts to overturn the Second Amendment. In two recent cases, the U.S. Supreme Court clearly held that the Second Amendment protects the right of individual Americans to keep and bear arms. In the 2008 case, D.C. v. Heller, the Supreme Court held that D.C.’s restrictive gun laws violated the constitutional rights of Americans. Two years later, in McDonald v. Chicago, the court struck down the city of Chicago’s handgun ban and held that, like the federal government, state and local governments must respect Second Amendment rights. I joined legal briefs in both cases in defense of this constitutional right and was pleased with the Supreme Court’s decisions.I am grateful you took the time to let me know where you stand. I’ll be sure to keep your comments in mind as Second Amendment rights are discussed and debated in Washington and in Tennessee.Sincerely,Lamar
This is the response I got from him.

These are my babies.
From left to right:
Mojo - Pointer / Australian Shepherd - Rescued March 2010
Satchel - Pointer / Boxer - Rescued March 2010
Riley - Pit bull / ??? - Found in our neighborhood, hungry and skinny as a rail. We were going to find him a home after we nursed him back to health, but by then he was part of the family. -
Another fan of thin mints here. I like to freeze mine.

Decided it was time to explore the wonderful world of C&R!
Bought her from AIM Surplus, along with 440 rounds of ammo.
The cosmoline wasn't as bad as I expected, but still pretty nasty to clean up; turned out pretty though. Concerned about a few issues I saw; one is some rust on the mag assembly where the screw goes in, two is some tarnish on the bolt. I'm thinking maybe I can polish the bolt up some, but not sure what to do about the rust issue, it looks like it's rusted under the finish and lifted the finish off.
Here are some pics:
Hoping to take her out to the range either this weekend or next, can't wait to try it out.

He's not in Memphis, but the man you need to talk to is Chip Cain.

Only reason I go to the shows is to look at guns. If I find something I like, I research prices and usually find it cheaper elsewhere.
$10 is a pretty good deal to get to see and touch a bunch of different guns. Plus the people watching, which is always entertaining and worth the admission fee.

Dick's Sporting Goods sells some

Another +1 for Chip Cain. He set up my trust just this past week.

I have a Coffman engine starter (aka shotgun starter) shell casing used to fire up the engine on a RAF Spitfire.
The school I went as a child (5 - 10) was named after Reginald Mitchell; one year we took a field trip to an airfield to tour a RAF Supermarine Spitfire, which he helped design, and a few of us were able to keep the casings as souvenirs.
I've had it for probably close to 30 years now.

GL. Hope it goes well.

I've rented at Coal Creek several times; good way to shoot a number of different makes and calibers. They just take your DL and put it in the case where the gun you're renting was, then they return it when you return the gun, no background check that I have seen, but there may have been a question on the "New Shooter" paperwork about being a felon.

...has really been all over the place on lots of issues in last few months, seems.
He's a celebrity; his job is to stay as popular as possible, with as many people as possible, to keep the ratings up. He'll flip-flop around on everything to keep his job.

I've carried my 5" 1911 a few times OWB; conceals fairly easily at 3 o'clock with an untucked shirt or t-shirt. I do prefer my XD9 Sub IWB though, but sometimes I just feel like a change.

If you click on a forum or post from the main page does it show you as being logged in?
I can log in via the main page OK, but it makes me log in every time, whereas the other pages on the site seem to know I'm logged in already.

There is an "Add to Ignore List" on the persons profile page.
