I don't really care where they sent them.  My bigger question, and perhaps I'm lacking understanding of the situation, but why are "unauthorized" aliens receiving any type of refund?  I cannot understand how our government continues to support people who, they willing admit, are doing something illegal. 

What I meant by the wrong address was if swat made a move on your house (looking for a dealer or something) and it turns out they had the wrong address, not referring specifically to the Boston mess. I would be pissed that they had the wrong address and ultimately put me and my family in danger not to mention the possibility of violation of rights and all that good stuff. I was trying to draw the parallel of such a case to what happened in Boston but to a different scale. I get that you're a cop of some sort, so you probably see this all in a different light. You say it could happen in my neighborhood, and all I'm saying is that I don't think such actions should happen in any neighborhood. As I said before, the actions in question did not apprehend the suspect. Therefore, I think they were unnecessary, exposed too many people to risk, and should be examined to consider of such actions should be taken in the future. What was done, is done. All I'm saying is that there should be some strong questions raised as to how a similar scenario should be handled in the future.

We have several that have been taken out if my grandmother's house. Not sure on the date on them, but they are complete with windows and casings. Most have the window weights too. Not sure where you're located. These are in Bedford county. PM me if you're interested.

I'm not calling for punishment or retribution, however, I do think people really need to look at these events and consider if that is really an acceptable course of action by the LEOs. I will tell you, if they knocked on my door and pull me out of my own home with a gun in my face, I would be causing a ruckus over it. I understand that some may consider the circumstances of the man hunt extreme or unique and that the actions of suspect were completely heinous, but that still does excuse the fact that threatened all if those residents with deadly force, entered there homes with force, and had absolutely nothing to show for it. Again, I'm not calling for the punishment of the officers, but I do think this situation requires people to really think about how you you feel had you been in a similar circumstance. Knowing that you had done absolutely nothing wrong, had played no roll in the events, yet you end up with a gun stuck in your face while some dudes rumage through your shit. If you find these events acceptable, would you find it equaly acceptable if your house gets "swatted" while looking for a drug dealer in your neighborhood? Oh, and by the way, they had the wrong address.

I'm not sure that I'm reading the post correctly, but it sounds like you are not interested in .223 options for hunting rounds.  If this is the case, I don't have much advice, but if you are interested in the .223 input, I would recommend the TAP rounds be Hornady.  I've had good accuracy with them but have not shot any game with them.  Another shooter I respect has them rather successfully on deer.  I think there are a couple of weights offered, but I've just used the 75 grainers.

  So you agree that the invasive tactics used by the LEOs are not what located the suspect but rather an observant civilian who alerted police?  If that is true, how can you argue in support of the tactics used by the LEOs?    I know hindsight is 20/20, but having this hindsight and knowing that there tactics did not produce results, it is not unreasonable to say that the searches were an unnecessary invasion of privacy and perhaps violation of constitutional rights.

This obviously isn't an AR, and I suspect you'll want to go with a different color scheme. It's a little 10/22 I painted for my wife. She likes the girly guns, and if it gets her interested, I figure what the hell. Either way, this is the first gun I have camo'ed without just using rattles cans in random patterns. I tore strips of masking tape to create the pattern, and you could repeat the same process a few times to produce more depth and more colors. I did spray the top coat as just a clear enamel to keep it from chipping and just give it more of a smooth finish. In retro spec, I should have used either more colors or taped off more purple spots, but I think she still liked it.   And even after all that, who located the suspect?  A private citizen.  Perhaps people would have found their tactics easier to accept had they actually found the suspect.          BTW, all TDA are RFA.

I know the topics of tyranny and revolt and such are often discussed here, and I do not wish to steer the thread in that direction.  However, I believe each one of us needs to draw a line, a red line if you will, at which point you decide you would rather die than live under such oppression.  For me, that line is the point that someone tries to take any of my guns; not just ARs, not just handguns, any gun regardless of the reason.  I have said it before, and I'll say it again. I will never see the day that any of my weapons are taken from me by my government.    I remember the saying, "Smart people learn from their mistakes, real smart people learn from other's mistakes."  I hope we, as lawful American gun owners, will be smart enough to learn from the mistakes of lawful gun owners of other countries.  If we are unable to defeat such legislation in the ballot box, I hope we will can read the writing on the wall and collectively decide to be noncompliant.

  For the off-road terrain we have around here, I would think these would border on the line of sucking.  I have not had an offroad toy for a few years, but from my experience, these trucks would be too big with a poor tire size/lift/wheel base ratio.    Although I have no use for these trucks, I am by no means knocking them.  I doubt anyone buys one for their "offroad prowess" or gas mileage; however, if you like it and enjoy it, I see no need for further justification.

I have flown with guns many times.  The only time I have ever had my bad check was when there was a jar of strawberry jelly in it.  I told the TSA dude that he should put some of it on a biscuit, but he was not amused and proceeded with the explosive testing.    The last time a flew with a gun was a few weeks ago.  Once again, my bag was not checked; however, my wife was detained for questioning after washing her hands in the bathroom.  I was not present for the events, but according to her, she went directly from the bathroom to security, went through the body scanner, and was pulled aside to a special area for frisking by a couple of girls who liked to wear flannel shirts and work boots.  After they found nothing with want my wife called a rather invasive frisk, they swabbed her hands for explosives, which resulted as positive for explosive residue.  By this time, our flight was boarding, and she pleaded with them to let her go or she was going to miss it.  They complied with her requests, and all was well.  I could not help but to be pissed with the whole system.  What a damn waste of money and resources.   

  I need to show this line to my wife, actually, the whole post, but she does not understand why I carry a rifle with me.  She has no problem with it, and she carries a handgun at times.  However, she does think it is a bit silly to go as well armed as I usually travel.

  I don't know if they want to live there, but I'm glad they have not decided to move else where.  It would be like the migration from New Orleans after Katrina.  My sister lived in Memphis at the time, and she said it seemed like there crime bumped up even worse after a bunch of the thugs moved from NOLA to Memphis.

I had a UTG on a 20" bullbarrelled AR that worked great.  I have never had an expensive one, but I had no complaint with the cheaper one. 

  Reimbursements are adjusted every year.  In a given specialty or for given services, they may go up or down from year to year.  They are all, including private insurance, roughly based on what the medicare/medicaid system does.    I do agree that many of the very successful docs were in such a position because of their business practices both within and outside of the scope of medicine.  However, it was rather common practice for providers to also "game the system" if you will.  One example, for ob/gyn practices, it was a common and accepted practice to remove the appendix and sometimes the gall bladder if you were doing a hysterectomy or oophorectomy or something along those lines.  The extra proceedures were almost never indicated and were performed to only add to the reimbursement.  I don't mean to pick on ob/gyn's and there are many other examples, most more egregious than that which were common in other specialties.  These practices lead to decreased reimbursements, lead to a decrease trust of physicians, and perhaps most important, contributed to the near failure of the medicare / medicaid system.  Obviously, there are other contributing factors of abuse and a perhaps a flawed system from the start, but physicians were certainly not without fault.   I do wish to be successful and provide a good life for my family and myself, but I did not go into to medicine to become wealthy.  There are much easier ways to earn much more money than by being a physician, but that does not ignore the fact that I have spent many many years and accumulated a considerable amount of debt to pursue such career.  The physician shortage will continue to worsen and become more difficult to intice students to accept that burden if reimbursement continue to decrease.  I have spoken with many older docs who tell me it is like a pendulum; sometime it swings to the good, sometimes to the bad.  They say at this time, it has swung pretty far the less favorable side, and they are all confident it will return over the next several years.  I hope that is not just wishful thinking.

  Just graduated med school myself.  It is very scary starting out in such a volatile political climate.  I do not believe the ACA is sustainable, and I am hoping, that by the time I finish residency, the turbulence will settle out some.  I don't think we will ever get back to the days of docs driving Ferraris and making millions of dollars a year, nor do I honestly think we should.  However, over the course of the next several years, I do think the reimbursements will improve from where they are now.  If not, there will be nobody going into medicine.  The lifestyle sucks too bad and it's too much training to go through to get out and have to worry about being able to pay your bills. 

Weasels will also kill your birds.  They will look completely fine with the only marks usually under the wings.  The weasel just sucks the blood out of them, and can get in a coop when you think it's tighter than Fort Knox. 

 You are comparing a LEO use of deadly force with a civilians use of deadly force, and you cannot make a direct comparison of such.  First off, a LEO responds to scenes of conflict and generally does not have the option to leave.  Also, LEOs walk around with a duty belt full of other tools at your disposal.  Perhaps if we all walked around with tasers, oc spray, and batons, I would be more inclined to agree with your argument.    However, I am a civilian who is not trained in hand to hand combat and do not have less than lethal options readily at my disposal, and frankly, if I am in a situation in which less than lethals were really a viable option, it would also be likely that I would be able to leave that situation.  Certainly that is the best and first option, and I cannot imagine a situation in which I would bypass such an option to stay engaged in an altercation that would follow the progression of your chart.
