  1. FDIC has nothing to do with the property or the building. It only insures the account. This kind of logic would be akin to saying that if you have federal flood insurance, you can not carry in your house.
  2. Seems that a bunch of people think that you cannot carry in a bank if it is a member of FDIC. In fact, one of my friends was told this when he took his permit class. I told him that was just asinine, and he should probably find a new source for learning the law.
  3. I have an 870 turkey model. I use it for sport and home defense. When I can afford one or two over/unders, the 870 will get some HD upgrades. I have had both a 500 and a few 870s, and I can say that they were both reliable. However, the 870 feels more solid and more dependable in my hands. Whether it truly is or not, I do not know, but I do know you need to have no doubts in whatever gun you use for protection. I have no interest in getting rid of any of my 870s, but I also have no desire to ever get another 500.
  4. "Good" depends on how you were shooting it; off hand, bench rest, etc. Either way, looks like you are off to a good start.
  5. It says it is a non-flammable fuel. I am not a chemist, but this seems contradictory. Can something be combustible but not flammable? I thought those were synonymus.

    What do I buy next?

I would have to go with a 10/22 as well. I have had a few of them, and wish I still had them all. I just have one right now, but if there were no sentimental with any of my other guns, it would be either the last or second to last gun I would ever get rid of. Mine is plenty accurate, and it is just the bottom of the line carbine model. You would not be disappointed with a 10/22.
  7. If you shop at BassPro, he might be getting what you pay for.

    I want one... BAD.

I am a fan of the mini mags as well. I would be very interested in getting one if they dropped to a price closer to the existing revolvers. Thanks for passing this along.
  9. If the hub were locked up, would it not just spin the axle shaft. I have seen hubs go out, but I have never seen one that went out and made the wheel lock up. What about the hub would prevent the wheel from still turning on the spindle?
  10. If it is indeed the differential, you would have to either take the hub off, or take the axle shaft out, I think. I am not familar with the exact set-up on that truck, but I think it is the one with the independant straight axle kinda mess in the front of it. If that is the case, my plan of attack would be to try to raise the wheel that is locked up, take all the torque off of it, and remove the hub. Takeing the hub off will be easier than taking an axle shaft out, and this will at least get your two wheel drive back if indeed it is the diff. If the truck it in two wheel drive now, you do not gain anything by taking the drive shaft out.
  11. Sounds like you might be looking at a differential problem. The autohubs will only work properly if the four wheel drive is working properly as most of them act like a big screw when turn by the axle shaft. If the hub is locked, the wheel will still spin on the spindle, therefore, I think the problem is more central that anything in the hub. Have you checked the fluid in the front diff recently?
  12. A couple of greek honor societies and a GDI at MSU and UT.
  13. Wow! I read that, and my first thought was, "Is this guy a schizophrenic?" Either way, I hope he finds the assistance he needs.

    Off-Road 4x4

Nothing emotional about it, and I made no comment regarding the factuality of your thread. I do, however, agree with David's assessment of you from the Parenting 101 thread. Let's get back on track. Please tell us more about driving your X in the snow; we would all love to hear it.

Sorry to ripple the waters. I did not realize the comment was that bad, but this is your playhouse so rock on.

So I guess I got censored?
  17. If you wear your shirt un-tucked with loose fitting clothing, you will easily conceal either way. I have carried both, and for my dress style, IWB conceals better. I had some problem with my shirt coming showing the end of the gun which would be in your pants with IWB. If I am not going to be active or if I am wearing a jacket, I do still carry OWB at times. I think either way you go, you will be fine. You will probably be like to rest of us and end up with a draw full of holsters anyway.
  18. Lol, I understand that. It is a little dishearting hunting all season to come home and see more deer in my back yard than what I saw all season hunting, but I still enjoy it.
  19. This is the very reason that I never start a hunt or a season expecting to shoot anything. I guess I have just always used hunting as an excuse to sit in the woods for hours without anyone bothering me. For me, the most enjoyable part of hunting is not actually taking an animal, but it is all stuff that happens in the meantime.
  20. Thank you all for the responses. I thought there was a thread on this already, but I obviously did not look in the correct location.
  21. My sister has decided it is time to get her permit. There has been increasing crime in her area, and her house was broken into yesterday. She has a shotgun for HD; however, she now feels it is time to carry. I do not live in Nashville, so I figured I would ask you all if there is a class or instructor with which you have had a good experience. Thank you for your input.

    Idiots!!!

It is fake for sure. The guy that made it posted another video on YouTube about how he made it. Either way, I think it is irresponible because you know there is some DA that will think it is cool and would try it. On second thought, that might be some positive natural selection.
  23. +1 for what Mike said, especially taking a friend with you.

    Ruger SR40c?

What do you all reckon the chances are Ruger will put out a sr40c? I am thinking about getting a sr9c, but if it looks like they are going to put out a 40c, then I think I would rather hold out for that. Opinions?
  25. Great song. I think I'll play it again
