  1. Ramsey was my pick, and i worked hard to get his name out and to educate people, but the sheep would not hear. We are living the nightmare that is the Obama administration, McWherter would be no different, except Ned's boy is nowhere near as intelligent. Saying "no" to voting for the lessor of two evils would be akin to not taking medicine that would kill off a bad bacterial infection with fore-knowledge. When one took that last ragged breath, and the Dr. shook his head and wondered aloud how anyone could know what was coming and refuse to do anything about it, how principled they would feel!
  2. My suggestion is to get to know the man, let him know your thoughts and what you expect of him. Hold his feet to the fire. I believe we have a much better chance of advancing our 2nd Amendment objectives with a man who allows that if the Legislature passes a Bill related to Gun Rights, that he is willing to sign it, than one who believes in Gun Registration.
  3. People drive cars without license everyday, there are tons of illegals out there who have no training behind the wheel of a car, no insurance, who do not deserve the privilege of driving on our streets, but that does not stop them from doing it! Rapist and murderers carry weapons every day, can LEO's stop every person and check them for weapons, or to see if they are valid for carrying them? HCP's are like locks, they have no effect on the lawless, none.
  4. Here is the clip of the complete question and answer, which did not get posted in the audio from Quik.
  5. I don't see his comments as balking on his view. He said he was not in favor of permitless carry, that he thought the permit system offered safeguards. He DID say if the Legislature passed such a Bill he would sign it. Personally, I am in favor of Vemont style carry, with a permit system in addition, so that I can continue to travel to other States and be legal while carrying.
  6. I do, and will be posting when I get through uploading to YouTube. That mess takes a LONG time. You can view the clips I have done at Youtube under Worriedman50.
  7. I will be posting the full meeting in chronological order. Lenard Embody was the poser of the first question, and the holder of the tape recorder. The audio is spliced, and a full purview of the meeting will give a different flavor.
  8. Browning T-Bolt CZ 453 Varmint Ruger Bull barrel Pistol Encore barrel for .22X225 Winchester 'Gallery" pump action rifle Several AR 15s
  9. Started out as an Armalite A4BSF. First I installed a VTAC FF forearm and a JP low profile adjustable gas block. Next I mounted a 2.5 X 16 Bushnell 6500 and added a Hogue grip. Finally the Magpul PRS, internally I also added a CWS. Finally got a chance to get to the range with some handloads. Dialing in the scope at 100 yards, 10 shots. Firing for effect, 5 shots.
  10. Being honest with yourself about the place of man in the food chain.... We have binocular vision and canine teeth. A quick perusal of the flow chart of the Animal Kingdom will show that we are in fact, Omnivores. We share these traits with the bears, canines, raptors and cats. The placement of our eyes in the front of our heads makes us predators as well, uniquely suited to hunting instead of avoidance. I grew up on a farm in West, TN, under the tutelage of an old Native American who would put anything in a pot to survive, if it was too big to fit, we cut it up into small enough pieces to make it so. Having known the cruel pinch of want in his early life, the woods and streams were simply part of the larder of existence. He was one of the kindest people I have ever been around, but, he had no compunction in taking the life of any animal to sustain or protect himself or his family. I would never have been able to explain to him the thought process of an anti-hunter, he just was not wired to understand such a thing. He hated cars for the fact that they "wasted" animals when they ran over them. His favorite meal was squirrel brains and Bantam eggs. As a youth, I was taught to pick my shots, putting a ball though the rib cage, avoiding head and "shoulder" shots which ruined meat. If rabbit was on the menu, it came from a "gum" no need to waste expensive "shells" and take a chance on splitting a tooth on shot in the meat. He was in all things and opportunist, who managed his "space" to the benefit of his family. He had the single worst case of government hate I have ever seen, as he considered it to be parasitic in all it's forms, something which survived in his mind from his early years on a reservation in Oklahoma. His history gave him a perspective that none of us can possibly have, never having been forced to not hunt, nor be allowed the ability to own the tools to do such. I love to hunt, in all it's various forms. I avail myself of all weapons system opportunities. I also love to just watch the outdoors, but like the fat tabby that lies at your feet on the patio, when the little bird lands, I lock on. Unlike the cat who will kill just for the act, I limit my actions to those which I consider necessary. granted, I do not have to hunt to eat, but like stropping a knife to keep it sharp, I hunt to satisfy a craving in my soul, and to stay in shape for the eventuality of having to. As Jack London described, when I watch the fire at night, I feel the "Call of the Wild".
  11. My name is Richard. A couple of outdoor shots. Me on the right, at my sons wedding.
  12. Not superior, just has a higher number of deportations. If they get them all, we will talk.
  13. When they load up Nicky Diaz (the nanny that worked for Meg Whitman) and haul her back wherever she came from, I will believe they are serious. Till such time as that occurs, the release of the stated numbers appears to be grandstanding for the Mid-Terms. If they (the Government) wanted to, they could go exponential on the pick ups, plenty of fodder out there for them to take advantage of. Gloria Allred needs to be disbarred for putting her client in jeopardy to further a Political cause, but that is a different discussion.
  14. There is a good man running against him, Jim Hardin, a 20+ year Veteran, who served his country in the Iraq theater. He is a real Conservative. He can use our help dollar wise to fight against Naifeh and all his cash.
  15. I liked Ramsey myself, but I am sure that McWherter is a Democrat, through and through! Anti-Parks carry, anti-Restaurant carry, pro-gun registration, anti-Tennessee Firearms Freedom Act.
  16. Pistol .44 Mag. .357 Shotgun 12 ga. 20 ga. Rifle .223 .257 X .307 .243 .280 30-06 .30-30 7mm Rem Mag. ML .45
  17. You will always remember that first bow killed buck, you may take better specimens, but that one will be there in the memories. Congratulations!
  18. First opener I have missed in lots of years. I own my own place to hunt, work just got in the way this year. I got caught up in a company Project gone bad, got seconded to a sister firm and spent the whole dang summer in Mt. Vernon, AL. (I believe that is the most miserable place I have ever been assigned to!) I just got the chance to check my stands this weekend (after the grand baby's two Fall softball games, what idiot schedules ball games on bow season opener?), rework a couple and do some scouting this weekend. Got tons of acorns about ready to fall and a harvested corn field next to what I figure will be the best. Plan on being up in it this weekend.
  19. Mine is kind of self explanatory, I am neither deaf nor blind. Raising two daughters did not help.
  20. Toyota does not appear to be problematic, unless one wants only Unions to be able to fund campaigns. Government Motors is getting into the act now, even though it is 61% owned by the taxpayers. I personally do not understand how they can take my tax money and support a political campaign I did not get asked about, and I wonder which party they will be supporting?
  21. October 18th. I will be better prepared as well, with a much better mic set up. I wish I had been ready with my camera in Jackson, (kids got it for me for Fathers Day) McWherter really stated his contempt for the 2nd Amendment when he opined his support for gun registration. I am just sorry he left before I could re-ask that question as well the other night in Nashville. Personally, I think McWherter could give a rat's hinney about the Tennessee Firearms Freedom Act. He appears to be all for the Federal Government controlling most everything. He gives lip service to the 10th Amendment, but his view of specifics leads me to believe that he is not in favor of strong States having a say in much of anything.
