It is funny how interests change from time to time.

The rifle I shoot the most is the little .25 X .307 Wildcat, it don't go bang fast, but it sure does with authority! That is another of failings, loving anything .25, now I have the .25/.223 AR which is pretty nifty too. -

Ah Mr GKar, you are such a wise individual. 8 lbs. of powder is not nearly the sell right after you have fed the masses, and carried the FIL a couple of food saver baggies of pulled pork for him to microwave later on. Between the Weber and the Primo, there was no cooking for the 4th in the house, SWMBO loved the eats and lack of mess.

There is all that infrastructure we the tax payers put up for Hemlock, maybe they could reuse some of it???

Australian shot in Oklahoma by bored teens
Worriedman replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Fox News just showed a "tweet" from one the suspects: 90% of white folks are nasty. #HATE THEM Liberals are having a fit now, it was the gun, and lack of gun control. Saw some ignorant huckster arguing with Malkin last evening about how easy it is for teenagers to buy guns, and then Kiersten Powers on O'Rilley talking about how easy it is to purchase a machine gun. Get ready for an all out assault to obfuscate the facts. -

If the powers that be made them the same deal they did with Hemlock, betcha they would scoot right along... -
Pretty much every "Republican" in the State is publicly supporting Alexander, as all the Leadership of this State is tied to the Liberal ideals that he espouses. Haslam and Harwell have been alter persons for him forever, he shines his light on their actions and HE can do not wrong in their eyes. I remember Maggart said her only job was to bolster the brand, that a walk-off proof majority was the linchpin of her craft, damn the Constitution and what is the right thing to do. The People got tired of it, and could do so again!

Wal Mart single store policy?
Worriedman replied to Worriedman's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
The friend went back tonight and talked to a "Manager", who said it the result of going to a computerized 4473. Their store had not received the proper software, so they are taking the 72 hours to do it the "Old fashioned way" till their computer system gets upgraded? -
Had a friend call me this afternoon and tell me that the Wal Mart in Union city has a sign posted saying all Firearms Transactions are subject to a 72 hour waiting period. Anybody seen anything like this anywhere else?

Actually I was asking a simple question, as to how long the poster thought the sign would be allowed by law to stay up on a business. I did not "delve" into anything. Fact is, in Tennessee anyway, an individual can, for whatever reason (good or bad), contest the boundaries of your property, erect a fence on your land with impunity, and be protected by LE while doing it. When you hire a licensed surveyor to prove that you own the land you say you do and hire an attorney to file the appropriate papers to vouchsafe your claim, said interloper can threaten violent sexual harm to you, in writing on a large sign set up next to your property again with impunity. Years after the activity is started, you will still be paying attorneys (thousands of dollars) to 'fight" for your legal "Rights", while LE will tell you that constant harassment of an elderly couple who owns the land they said they did is simply protected speech. If the Constitution is such a worthless piece of rag, why is every public servant caused to swear to uphold it: § 1. Oath of office Every person who shall be chosen or appointed to any office of trust or profit under this Constitution, or any law made in pursuance thereof, shall, before entering on the duties thereof, take an oath to support the Constitution of this State, and of the United States, and an oath of office. § 2. Oath of office; general assembly Each member of the Senate and House of Representatives, shall before they proceed to business take an oath or affirmation to support the Constitution of this State, and of the United States and also the following oath: I .......... do solemnly swear (or affirm) that as a member of this General Assembly, I will, in all appointments, vote without favor, affection, partiality, or prejudice; and that I will not propose or assent to any bill, vote or resolution, which shall appear to me injurious to the people, or consent to any act or thing, whatever, that shall have a tendency to lessen or abridge their rights and privileges, as declared by the Constitution of this State. If the Constitution has only the strength to limit what government does, and has no effect on the interaction of the general populace with each other, seems to be kind of useless. -

How does Pruneyard Shopping Center v. Robins which I believe was a SCOTUS ruling, relate to this assertion? Do I wrongly understand that a State Constitution can give more Rights to an individual than the Union one does, and if so, as in the referenced case, private property owners can be required to allow freedom of speech even on their privately held premises, including solicitation? -

I realize that you said "personally I think" and "they should be able", but what do you believe the chances are that if "they" put up a sign that said "No Mexicans, Midgets or Muslims Allowed" on any business open to the public that it would last the full first day? -

Have a question for the assemblage. What is the basis for all laws that we as Tennesseans first, and Americans second, hold as the standard for their production and being sustained by the Court system? Is it not the Constitutions of our State and Union? When an issue is carried to the Zenith of our Judicial system, is not the finding regarding a law that it is either Constitutional or not? Can we just simply murder anyone we do not like if they wander onto our private property, or do our laws, which must be couched in the Constitution deny such actions? There can be no law which does not in its entirety find its foundation in the Constitutions of either the Federal Government or a State (if the Union Constitution does not directly address any given situation), or added by a ratified treaty, as per the Supremacy Clause: "This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in pursuance thereof; and all treaties made, or which shall be made, under the authority of the United States, shall be the supreme law of the land; and the judges in every state shall be bound thereby, anything in the constitution or laws of any state to the contrary notwithstanding." As I understand the system, all laws must be made in pursuance of the Constitution to be valid, that is the reason we have courts to adjudicate whether the congress can hit their ass with either hand, or the executives of the various federal and State entities understand their proper place in issuing executive orders. -

Why would firearms ownership NOT be just as protected? Got us a Bill of rights Amendment to the Constitution that says it is pretty important. -

Directive has been thrown out. http://www.9news.com/news/story.aspx?storyid=349123 Seems the apartments are public housing, and as such the management company can not deny the ability to keep arms there.
