  1. You would need to look under Alcoholic Beverage Commission (ABC). You will not see anything posted, not until after they are re-done. The Senate "sunsetted" the Commission, meaning they have been relieved of duty so to speak. They will be re-constituted somewhere else in the TN Gov., (most likely under Treasury) but their days of being responsible only to "The Pleasure of the Governor" are over. Look for major changes.
  2. By ALB, do you mean Alcohol Beverage regulatory board?
  3. I had to take the grandbaby to eat, where are we in reference to the calenders?
  4. Think there is any chance they will get to SB 3012 tonight? They will not get through the calender tonight, but could they cut off the calender, and do unfinished business at the end of the session?
  5. This will show how he tries to have it both ways. He attempts to say he is supportive of the right to keep and bear arms, but this is how he really acts.
  6. Now I am not one for bi-lingual signs normally, but I think that would be more effective in Spanish?
  7. Not so on him writing off West TN. We have him coming to Union City for a TFA Meeting on Friday, June 11, at Joe's Steak House, 5:30 if you want to eat prior to the meeting, 7:00 the meeting starts. He gets to make his stump speech, then we grill him. He has been in Session in the Senate, the real campaign starts when they finish up.
  8. Actually it followed the Rules, an override has to be put on notice, and then it can be considered in the next session, so the notice was read by the clerk, and it is now posted. they could have tried to suspend the Rules, but nobody wants to put the democrats that support the Bill under that pressure, so they have the time to vote as there is another session.
  9. If the people on the floor do not know what is going on......
  10. Just talked with my Rep., they are not coming back tonight, on this issue anyway. I think they figured out there are a bunch of us watching, so they have decided to leave the session in recess, and do their deals without us being able to see, he said they were haggling budget items. Swears up and down they will override tomorrow, that it is a "done deal".
  11. Just make sure you House members know that you are going to put their re-election on the same plane of importance they are giving this Override vote.
  12. Been thinking about this possibility. Would this suit not have to attempt to remove ALL weapons from the location to give any relief from an "Unsafe Work Environment"? 39-17-1305 would have to be repealed, because an owner could give permission to an individual who could create a problem in the workplace. Owners themselves should be stripped of their right to be armed in such an establishment as well, if there is a push to make sure there is no chance a firearm could be misused. And, if the potential for an unsafe work environment would exist due to HCP carry, would it not then be endemic on the Owners to ascertain that NO weapons enter into the premises? Would they not have to install detectors and hire security to pat down every one coming into the venue?
  13. Maybe Todd will be in for the afternoon session at 3:30, and he can at least get it on notice today.
  14. They are going to adjourn till 3:30, kind of seems there will be no action on SB 3012 today.
  15. In Calander and Rules Committee this morning, the question was asked of another Rep. if he was going to raise the Notice, he said no, that Todd was going to be there, but evidently that has changed. It was Montgomery that said Todd would be in the chamber, and that he did not intend to "Handle" the override.
