  1. It IS the law of the land, but laws do have a habit of changing. Get a helmet, Sir, because you've got a couple years of s***storm ahead of you.
  2. Thoughtful rebuttal, apology for disagreement, you're a racist.
  3. Phil Bredesen, of the "unshined shoes despite the fact I'm the governor of a whole state" Bredesens*, is in line to be your next director of Health and Human Services. I cannnot WAIT to see how awesomely he implements Obamacare in 2011 and beyond. *Saw him at a Predators game awhile back; his suit was rumpled and his shoes looked like crap. Maybe I'm odd, but I judge books by their covers, and when the book puts on its best, it had better be squared away.
  4. Adverb! Boooooooosh! /you got served or something /that said, "kwik" would be a good adjective; it could be used to replace the less-PC "retarded" when used to describe behaviors that are both retarded and gun-related; i.e. "that's so Kwik".
  5. Maybe the round by itself, but it'll still print. God bless America - when the .50 isn't enough, we'll just make a bigger one. That explodes.
  6. It's not opposite decade. Down is up. I'm not wearing pants (crap...disregard). Good is bad.
  7. Wolves don't stand and rear their heads. They push the Earth down.
  8. Here's the link: Amazon.com: The Mountain Three Wolf Moon Short Sleeve Tee: Clothing Additionally, here's a crappy iPhone pic I took at a red light in midtown Nashville on the way home from work today (talk about serendipity): I know you can't see easily, but there were three all-white wolves on the helmet, three more on the tank, and another on the rear fender. It's a wonder her bike didn't burst into flames of pure awesome as she rode into the sky.
  9. ^^^He was probably too beset by desperate women and envious men, what with wearing the shirt and all.
  10. Thought experiment, gents: I work in a very unpopular industry. Therefore, I am posing a series of questions; you're welcome to answer, but please consider them even if you don't wish to respond. Is anyone willing to support and defend the idea of protesters showing up at my doorstep, crowding my tiny lawn, scaring my neighbors, and pulling resources from the local police force because they don't like the work I do to pay the bills? At what point would you decide that the protest in question went beyond lawful free expression, and passed into willful and deliberate intimidation? Where would you draw the line between when such a protest is acceptable, and when it is not? What conditions would have to be met for either decision? In the event that such a protest were to occur, and you were in support of it, what recourse would you recommend I take? In the event that such a protest were to occur, and you disagreed with it, what recourse would you recommend I take? Food for thought. Thanks, TGOers.
  11. I hear in TX the governor uses .380 on coyotes and saves the .45 for two-legged predators.
  12. The fun isn't in Sonora...it's in Cozumel. It's a crying shame that the best reef and shelf diving within a day's travel from the central US is controlled by a bunch of elected gangsters. It's only a matter of time till the cartels work their way down and start wrecking everything there as well.
  13. Since all things related to the three wolf shirt must be posted on TGO (it's in the rules somewhere), I give you this: The song is kind of slow, and needs a wailing guitar solo, but I wholly approve of the section where "Pocahontas" is flying towards the camera. It's totally three wolf shirt. Safe for work. Found on the front page of www.thisainthell.us .
  14. Nor were the locals near where I work...Rosa Parks north of the Capital building in Nashville was under approximatley 10-12 feet, and they still managed to hit the flooded liquor store. The water was knee-high, but sometimes a fella just needs a drink. The first intrepid explorers crossed the high waters on a log, then used it to bust open the doors and get some badly needed flood relief. This was on Monday. On Tuesday, more intrepid explorers managed to make the dangerous journey with a truck innertube they had procured, likely from their carefully prepared BOB (it's common in the projects to be prepared to fend for yourself, you know), and were also successful...until MNPD picked them up once they reached dry land. I wish my coworkers had taken video. They watched the whole process from the top of a two-story building. That said, just because 1st hand eyewitnesses told me all this doesn't mean I believe it, although the liquor store was clearly broken into. IMHO, it's a fun story, but in this case, no pics = it didn't happen.
  15. It's still Alive!!!! Shoot it in the head! The head I say!
  16. I've read through the entire thread, and I've either missed these guys, or I'm the first (I'm guessing I missed them): School Name: Guns and Leather Location: Greenbrier, TN Primary Instructor: Mark...I've forgotten his last name HCP Class Cost: $65 Website: www.gunsandleather.com Phone: (615) 643-4865 My Personal Experience: Mark is awesome. He corrected all the falsehoods in that awful video, was up on current legislation, and was personable and entertaining, to boot. No tacticool stuff, no lectures on hardware, ammo, tactics, etc., and the G&L indoor range is very nice. Solid value.
  17. Has anyone found something to improve the grip of a PT709 out there? I shot today with sweaty hands, and accuracy was less than optimal, even for a "get off me" gun. I checked Hogue, and neither size of their slip-on style sleeves will fit. Thanks!
  18. I need to get down there and join sometime, but the guys I'm shooting with today live closer to the lake. As far as the RSOs go, I've seen them get aggressive, but never without the retard level being pretty high.
  19. I'm heading out there (pistol range only, I think) with a couple friends around 10:00ish. If you're inclined to say hello, I'll be wearing a blue Chicago Cubs cap under my 'muffs...it's one of the old logos from the 60s, so if you see a pale white fellow about 30 or so, 6' tall, and just getting started on a beer belly, with a blue hat, that's likely me...Honestly, just look for freckles and unimpressive grouping. Anybody who is looking at Sig Elite 229s or XDm 9s are welcome to try mine; just identify yourself as a member and provide the ammo.
  20. Today is "Everyone Draw Mohammed Day".
  21. I feel sorry for those who lie to build themselves up, with nothing to gain. Everybody knows someone who tells tall tales; he might be your best buddy whom you know is full of crap. The stories are fun and nobody gets hurt, so they're colorful. They only hurt themselves. I feel less sorry for those like Ted who lied to protect themselves, and let others go to potentially be hurt or killed in their place. I'm not going to judge, since I've never been in the same spot, thank God, but those who've done so need to spend the rest of their lives doing good. IMHO, Ted needs to spend the rest of his days atoning for that decision. Regarding Blumenthal, his service is something to be respected, but why would he go and disrespect his brothers in arms, and his service, by pretending to have done what he never did? I have no idea whether one is worse than the other, and my instinct says draft-dodging is worse, but I guess Blumenthal bothers me more because I expect better from my elected officials than I do my rockstars. Making a career on the backs of others who did more than you may be politically expedient, but it's still morally repugnant. The Corps deserves better than Blumenthal. Ted shouldn't even be germane to the conversation. Nobody is asking a geriatric guitarist to lead the country where She needs to go.
  22. Not to mention the impossibility of passing such a monstrosity through the Senate. 2/3 of the Senate will never vote for this mess. Any movements, discussions, or non-binding agreements towards this abomination is just procrasturbation. It would certainly be preferable if our Dept. of State denounced any international treaty that circumscribed the rights of American citizens, sure. Sadly, we're all forced to pay attention to political theater, just in case.
  23. +1 The only .22lr misfires I've ever had have been Remington bulk, at a rate of nearly 1 in 8 over the course of 500 rounds. Stay away. It's always the leader in the "misfires" bucket at my usual range, and that by a mile.
  24. I just want to know which government crook he doublecrossed badly enough to get raided...to amass that kind of hardware and money, you would have to purchase a lot of the right people. The kind of man that owns gold-plated weapons is probably the kind of man who wouldn't listen to warnings about getting too big for his britches. I guess we now know just how much corruption Mexico will tolerate before they lay down the "law".
  25. You may not be able to vote for him in any political race, but you can go see him play on 7/14 at the Wildhorse Saloon. I'm sure the Wildhorse will be posted, assuming a veto override, but it will still be pretty sweet. Stranglehold!
