  2. Unfortunately what Tungsten said is true. That is the only reason I will probably be voting for McCain.
  3. Congratulations! Can I interest you in a HCP so all the LEO's will know you are a certified Good Guyâ„¢
  4. I think that sounds like a good suggestion canynracer. Besides, I hate being solicited period.
  5. I got mine today too. I'm really worried about not being able to prove that I have a HCP so I can't wait until my ID badge with the firearm symbol on it arrives!
  6. My coverage must be better, because most of the time I don't have trouble watching YouTube videos. Web pages seem to load up with no problems.
  7. That's true to an extent, but for the most part it's pretty good. Even on it's worst day it's still better than dial-up. I also like having the ability to use it on my laptop as I'm going down the highway on long trips. (While the wife is driving )
  8. The only person that I trust that can verify if a gun is unloaded is me. What I mean is even if I watch you clear the gun and then hand to me...I'm still gonna check it. Obviously this guy didn't check the gun before pulling the trigger. HUGE mistake.
  9. Batman Begins was a much better film than the previous Batman films IMO. I absolutely do not care for Mr. Burton's directing skills. If The Dark Knight is anything like Batman Begins then it will be well worth seeing.
  10. You might check out Verizon's wireless broadband. It's way better than dial-up and I can even play MMORPG's, although it depends on how my latency is. Usually it's around 400-600ms which works just fine for those kinds of games.
  11. Take a look at the Comp-Tac MTAC. It's an IWB holster that conceals very well.
  12. You are allowed to use deadly force against an intruder that has broken into your home. The intruder does not have to attack you first. 39-11-611 © Any person using force intended or likely to cause death or serious bodily injury within a residence, dwelling or vehicle is presumed to have held a reasonable belief of imminent death or serious bodily injury to self, family, a member of the household or a person visiting as an invited guest, when that force is used against another person, who unlawfully and forcibly enters or has unlawfully and forcibly entered the residence, dwelling or vehicle, and the person using defensive force knew or had reason to believe that an unlawful and forcible entry occurred.
  13. Congrats on the new MTAC. I had a few minor comfort issues at first with it, but it has quickly become my favorite method of carry. The MTAC conceals my M&P9 very well and I don't doubt that you'll find it one of your favorite holsters.
  14. I don't think the police have any right to keep them off their own property, BUT they are only following the orders. I see the problem as being one of the local government deciding that it's "not safe" for anybody to be in the area. I think this is why a lot of times people don't want to leave their homes. They are afraid they won't be let back in to save what they can (possessions, pets, home, etc). I neither need nor want to be protected from my own stupidity. If I make a mistake or endanger myself, then the responsibility rests solely on my own shoulders and I should not reasonably expect someone else to rescue me if I go into a dangerous area like that.
  15. Can someone clearly define what cop bashing is? Is it questioning police actions? Is it bad mouthing cops in general because of one particular cops actions? Is it bad mouthing a particular cop because of the treatment you received (deservedly or not)? Is it <fill in the blank>? To be clear, I am most definitely not trying to sound like a jerk here. I am just trying to understand what is and is not considered cop bashing.
  16. So why didn't Dan tackle the guy and beat the crap out of him???
  17. I'm very sorry that this happened Eddie. My deepest condolences and my prayers go out to you and your family.
  18. You know the discussion is getting interesting and heated when Mars is the least crabby guy. You're kind of like a barometer for the board.
  19. Ok, first of all I never mentioned your age and frankly I don't care how old or young you are. Second, I replied to canyn's post because at first it sounded like he was trying to say that your arguments were logic based when they clearly weren't. I was trying to draw a distinction between opinion and logic, because I don't really like your opinions or your insinuation that we people who don't care for the FTF form need to just "chill" and that we are being overly paranoid. s
  20. At the risk of fanning the flames I have to disagree with this statement of yours. The only portion of his post that can possibly be construed as logical is this. Everything else in his post is either an anecdote or opinion. Especially his first and last statement. (not counting the edit)
  21. See, procrastination DOES payoff. BTW, that is a nice looking revolver with or without the pink grips.
  22. I have a 3 year old lab and as soon as I can talk the wife into it (and I get a fence) I'll have another.
  23. Physically resisting is what I mean. Me telling him "No" is not resisting if he is asking for permission.
