  1. If you have a neighbor that has caused trouble in the past and you think is trying to cause/start more trouble then I would spend a little money and get a surveillance system for your house. You can pick up a relatively cheap system at Best Buy for around $200-$400 depending on what kind of system you get. That way if something happens with your neighbor you will hopefully have video proof instead of your word against his.
  2. I'll OC at home and at work. Usually at work I'm wearing my MTAC with my shirt tucked in behind the holster so only the top part is showing. It took two weeks before the new guy even noticed I had a gun on my hip.
  3. I was at a Target store in Austin last week purchasing a TomTom. (Those roads couldn't be any more confusing) As the girl was ringing up my purchase I asked her if it included an AC adapter. She said that I didn't need it because it takes AC power to run it....because it plugs in to the wall.... Just as my wife opened her mouth to argue I said "Thank you" and walked away. It's just not worth arguing with stupid.
  4. What he said. The Hermitage-Donelson area is fairly nice.
  5. This thread did not go like I imagined.
  6. When Steve was still on WTN that was my biggest complaint with him. I haven't listened to him since then, but I can't imagine he has changed any.
  7. I need to hire a licensed electrician asap! PM me for more info.

    Sickening...

When I heard this story on the radio, the radio got turned off. There are things in this world that I am happier not knowing.
  9. I emailed the link to a few people. That interview was pure Win, with a heaping side of Awesome.
  10. The short answer is No. He would need to go through a FFL to be legal. I don't agree with the law, but that's the way it is. If the brother in IL doesn't have a FOID card he won't be allowed to pick the gun up from the FFL, or possess any gun, or buy ammunition, or walk his dog....
  11. Players that are on different servers can't interact or see each other. Since you just started, I would probably restart on Server 27 and create your city in the Romagna area.
  12. I bought one of those from TSC. After I bought some angled metal and added some reinforcement for the metal mesh, it worked great.
  13. Reson #4,583 that I am glad I live in a rural community.
  14. And so it begins....
  15. I can never remember exactly how many drops of bleach per gallon of water, but this part is easy to remember.
  16. If she needs a large capacity and non-portable option then the Katadyn Gravidyn is a good choice. Change carbon filter (this is what removes the bad taste) about every 6 months. The ceramic filter will last for around 39,000 gallons(that's not a typo) and filters to 0.2 microns. If a smaller capacity is ok and portability is a factor then the Katadyn Vario is a good choice. Change carbon filter at 100 gallons and glassfiber filter at 500 gallons. Filters to 0.3 mircrons. I've ordered from these people before and didn't have any problems with them. Good luck.
  17. 44-8-408. Dogs not allowed at large — Exception — Penalties. — ( The owner of a dog commits an offense if that dog goes uncontrolled by the owner upon the premises of another without the consent of the owner of the premises or other person authorized to give consent, or goes uncontrolled by the owner upon a highway, public road, street or any other place open to the public generally. I suppose it's not technically a leash law, but since most people's dogs aren't that well trained...
  18. I second female labs. Best. Dog. Ever. 'nuff said
  19. In this day and age I don't understand how anyone can think they are not being recorded at a traffic stop. Do they really think you won't check the video? Audio/Video in police units is one of the best things to happen. Not only does it show what really happened (for either side), but it also provides immense enjoyment when they show it on TV.
  20. Thanks for the info DaveTN. I take my gun with me whenever I travel. I guess in the future instead of throwing the unloaded gun in the suitcase I should remember to bring the case that came with the gun when I bought it just to be on the safe side.
  21. During Thanksgiving I was in Illinois. My brother and I decided to shoot off some old ammo on our 9mm's and bust the rust off my dad's old pump 12 gauge. My uncle has 88 acres a few miles from my parents so we headed over there. My uncle wasn't home, but we figured he wouldn't mind anyway. (He didn't). A little while later my a hunter that has permission from my uncle to hunt on his land showed up. Apparently he had intended to hunt that night, but decided not too after all the noise we had been making. I only see my brother a couple of times a year so going shooting together is a way to have a lot of fun together. Way better than sitting at our parent's house watching TV. It may sound a little harsh, but me and brother spending several hours together while having a blast (pun intended) trumps the hunter missing out on 1 night of hunting. I'm also glad we found someone competent at the gun shop that was aware that out of staters do NOT have to have a FOID card to buy ammo.
  22. When I stopped by G&L before the election the price for the lower was about $140. If the price is substantially higher then I will just wait to get it.
  23. She wasn't sure about the sidewalk. She said they usually are owned by the city but not always. I was not standing on the the sidewalk though. I was standing just off the curb so technically I was in the street.
