  1. Does anyone have some eye bleach that I could borrow?
  2. That's just evil.
  3. It's next to the Briley Parkway overpass on I-40W. Look off to your right and you can't miss it.
  4. That what happened to me. When I had an apartment in Nashville I had cable, but when I moved out to the country I couldn't get it. To be honest, I could have gotten cable. All it would have cost me is $2,000 or so for them to run the cable.
  5. I'm on Malygos. I haven't played in about 2 years or so, but my account was just sitting dormant. So I reactivated it and I've still got all my chars and items.
  6. I live in a fairly rural part of Robertson county where no cable or dsl service is available. My only choices were dial-up, satellite internet or ISDN. Satellite, from all the reviews I read, was horrible and ISDN didn't work very well. So I was stuck on dial-up for 5 years. Recently on my semi-annual "hunt for something better than dial-up" I discovered that I am in the coverage area for wireless broadband. Specifically Verizon Wireless. For $50 (after the $50 mail in rebate), a 1 year contract and $59.99/month I finally have something better than dial-up. I was paying $15 for my ISP and $20 or so for the second phone line. The difference is like night and day. It's not as fast as cable, but it is WAY faster than dial-up. I had to download 692MB to patch a game that I wanted to play (WoW). On dial-up it would have taken days to download if I could even have maintained the connection that long. On the Verizon wireless it only took 4 hours! One thing that I will probably buy is an antenna. I only have 2 bars of service, so hopefully I can boost it a little bit more. Anyway I'm just so happy so far that I wanted to shout it to the world! :D:D

    One Hundred

    Congrats!
  8. That was said tongue in cheek. Rabbi is NOT advocating the shooting of cops. At least I'm pretty sure he wasn't.
  9. At the beginning of Bush's first term in office, wasn't the national deficit somewhere close to $0? I thought that at some point in the last 10 years the U.S. had basically paid off the national deficit. I could be wrong (and probably am).
  10. It sounds like someone has hurt feeling and is trying to get "even".
  11. Here's one reason....Keating 5. And then years later McCain/Feingold(sp?)
  12. You beat me to it dunndw. I couldn't have said it any better.

    Strong winds

I had about a dozen shingles blow off my roof last night, but that's the only damage. Every time we get a good storm I seem to lose some shingles, so if I ever get around to redoing my roof I will probably consider that ugly metal roofing.
  14. Not to change the subject, but this reminded me of the other Martin Treptow. The latest update on that case that I could find is here.
  15. Just for the record....the M&P's have a sear deactivation lever. So there is no need to pull the trigger during disassembly.
  16. I know some people like that. They believe in just about every conspiracy theory you've ever heard of.
  17. My company installs energy management/building automation systems for commercial buildings and schools.
  18. I took my HCP course last year at Guns and Leather in Greenbriar and that course of fire sounds almost exactly what we did. You don't have to hit a bullseye, just the silhouette. Don't worry too much about it. The shooting portion is extremely easy to pass. Good luck.
  19. I vote for the M&P9. 17+1 Universal rail 3 interchangeable grip sizes No need to pull the trigger to disassemble Fully ambidextrous etc.. Plus, I just like the way the gun feels in my hand.
  20. I believe that as long as your rifle is in a "pistol" caliber (Dennis' words, not mine) that you can use their range.
  21. Correct me if I'm wrong, but this is not free money from the gubmint. This money is simply a reimbursement on future taxes. For instance, if I was going to get a $2k refund next year I will instead only get $800. This is because my wife and I (no kids) got our $1200 "free" check from the government. IIRC this is what happened last time Bush tried to "stimulate" the economy. I didn't like it then and I don't like it now.
  22. /me dissuades Marswolf
  23. This election is going to be about choosing the lesser evil. I am not excited about any of the current candidates and some of them (Hillary) actively scare the crap out of me. I'll just have to research and vote for the candidate that I think will do the least damage. Obama and Hillary are trying to make the election about electing the "First". Either the First Black Man or the First Woman president. Sadly, there are people out there that think those are good reasons to elect someone. They don't stop to think that their policies might be more important.
