If staying in AR platform and since cost is the concern...I personally would do 300blk same reliable parts and since you are using it for hunting only the cost of ammo is mute point unless you shoot a lot deer and pigs :)..   Plus you can get a suppressor later and reloading equipment and have some real fun with subsonic ammo....That is what I did:)

    Battle arms development for me on the next build....they make some very light upper and lowers with nice cuts done for the weight reduction
  19. range day was a success... ran about 200 rounds of M855 through it and ran flawless..next is the optic talk as I'm thinking about an RMR 1MOA, or MRO...any thoughts on either?

  23. Thank you fellas... Just need some break in at the range.. This will be my primary rifle ...lots of use, carbine classes, and hopefully will be super reliable
