  1. I have pretty much only loaded .45 acp in pistols but just got a glock 22. I am NOT looking for recipes but would like to know what most people like for powder. I will be loading hornady 180 grain fmj-fp. Just looking for target shooting. Thanks
  2. Sorry man, should have been more clear, I meant that if there is a suppressor demo then "I" would cancel plans so I could attend.
  3. I would cancel plans to make sure I could attend this!!!
  4. If schedule allows, I'm in.
  5. It must be engraved before it is built, assuming its an SBR. Most people get it engraved before sending in their paperwork just in case something is wrong with the engraving.
  6. Actually my first guess would be a weak ejector spring. It's extracting and gas system seems fine, (bolt locking back) but not kicking the rounds out, So I would check to see if the ejector is binding or bad spring.
  7. Just a little bit. :)
  8. I don't get it.
  9. Your profile says Nashville, so that would be the chief of police.
  10. You can still use them either way, I was only speaking to most effectiveness. Why the K-baffle is more effective on a pistol, I don't know. I think it has to do with the initial blast-pressure.
  11. What I have learned over time is a .22 can will accumilate lead so you should get a user serviceable can. Center fire cans can be used on .22s however eventually all that lead will have to be removed or can will be useless. There are basically two types of .22 cans, mono-core and k-baffles. Mono-cores tend to work most effectively with rifles and k-baffles designs work best with pistol. past that, its all a balance on what specific can-gun combination you want. On rifles bolt actions tend to be a little more quiet just because of the action noise and less pressure escaping from the chamber as the bolt extracts the spent casing. Hope this helps.
  12. My biggest question is what is going to happen to those that form 1 them? ie... will you still be able to make your own? Do they all have to go through a dealer? etc...
  13. Go to a truck stop, they have 12volt dc powered tv's. Not sure of prices though.
  14. assuming an ar15 configuration, you may have as many uppers in as many lengths or calibers as you like. You do however have to be able to return to the original listed configuration, or if you want a permanent change, you can file a form, can't remember which one or it might even be just a letter to the ATF stating the permanent change.
  15. I see one every few months, usually on highway 100 around the perry county-hickman county line.
  16. vacuum bleeder kits are a lot easier then pressure kits. imho.
  17. https://discussions.apple.com/thread/5589393?tstart=0 Try reading this thread. Really depends on which model you have.
  18. Police officers are specifically exempt from the texting while driving law.
  19. I don't have any experience with those bullets, but they look a bit long. Maybe try a slightly lighter bullet, around 210-220 grain? Those should still stay subsonic.
  20. I don't have an interest in the items, but if we can come up with a mutual time one weekend, I would be glad to teach you all I know about reloading and casting if you like.
  21. Actually, they are fairly easy. You usually know where they will go off so you set up, calculate your exposure and open your shutter for a length of time and "boom". Now lightning, that's tough!!!
  22. sniff sniff.... Someone mention BBQ????
  23. I would recommend getting the license if for no other reason then learning how to transmit with it. There is often much more than turn to a freq and press transmit. KE4PJR  Billy
  24. Most batteries plus also do cell phone screen replacements. Might be worth checking.
  25. I guess my first question would be, why do you think you need one? What are the rifles doing they should not be or not doing they should be?
