  1. It's a soon to be very flat one!
  2. Wasn't passing judgement. Just making sure you knew you don't "have" to. Choice is yours. Lots of reasons to engrave it, and a few not to engrave it. Enjoy it either way my friend.
  3. Unless it is being registered under NFA, you are not required by law to engrave a serial number. You may if you desire it, but not required.
  4. Not trying to start anything, but how do they define a flame thrower? I mean technically a lighter could be considered a flame thrower.
  5. 6 Inches.
  6. Exactly what I was hoping for! Thanks so much!
  7. I honestly, since photobucket went bonkers, don't know how to post pictures anymore.
  8. I recently was given a smith and wesson model 27-2 from my step fathers estate. I don't care what it's worth as it's value to me far exceeds any material value it may or may not have. That being said, how can I tell when it was made and if it's nickel or stainless steel? My gut reaction is that it's nickel since I think it would be a model 627 if it was stainless. However I am no expert. Any help is appreciated. btw the serial number is n4476XX thanks for any help.
  9. I'm wondering if it's not engaging the plunger pin correctly. Hard to say without seeing it.
  10. Lightroom 6 is 150 but it is a one time purchase and has "most" of the features of photoshop but without the monthly cost. It's what I personally use but it can get complicated at times (to me) so I use u-tube alot for videos to show me what to do.
  11. I didn't know of that one, thanks.
  12. Actually, a lot of them.
  13. Is this by any chance a crt monitor or a flat panel?
  14. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XK83VRV/ref=as_li_qf_sp_asin_il?ie=UTF8&m=AA3MGRC7F9EI2&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=B06XK83VRV&linkCode=as2&tag=btek-20 this is just one option. I only keep going back to baofeng since I don't know your price range. Personally I don't own them but the only bad thing I have heard about the brand is they are hard to program with out a cable and computer. I mostly own Icom radios myself but everyone is different and you have to decide what features are important to you. cost, ease of use, durability, mars operation, etc...
  15. If you are deadset on getting a handheld first, I would recommend the Baofeng line. That being said, I strongly suggest getting a mobile radio first which can be used as a base or mobile because you are severely limiting yourself with only a handheld. You can get a decent mobile for just a little bit more than a handheld and as David pointed out, you get a LOT more transmitting power. But ultimately the decision is entirely yours. 16. About the only dstar repeater in Nashville that I know of is 147.180 in west nashville. I have a openspot at home which I use for access mostly. Getting started in dstar isn't hard but can be tedious.
  17. Last I was on 2meter, (couple years) 146.670 was the active one and 146.910 was active down south Murfreesboro area. Now days, I am mostly on dstar so I can't speak knowledgeably.
  18. I don't have the rifle in front of me so this is just a guess, but it actually sounds like excessive head space.
  19. Sort of off topic but what kind of radio? vhf uhf dual band hf etc... I have an Icom 5100 mounted in my truck for dstar and the occasional local chat. Cheers KE4PJR
  20. My personal opinion is how much space are they using? That would dictate if I would use a flash drive, external drive or online backup. As far as just the pictures of Kasey, that would depend on a lot of factors such as are you using lightroom? I doubt you are or you would probably know how to segregate them. So unless you have a utility that can separate them, you are stuck saving them all or the tedious task of saving them one at a time or control-right click them. Hope this helps. Would be more than happy to help in anyway I can.
  21. I am not very knowledgeable so take what I say with a grain of salt. But, I think just about every department around has switched to some form of digital scrambling so that people can't listen in to what they are saying.
