  1. There isn't much traffic anymore on cb's and what there is, is usually garbage which is a huge reason so many people are switching to ham radio. Legally a cb can only tranmit 5 watts, which is why most manufactures limit them to 4 watts. A ham radio (in most bands) is limited to 1500 watts. Handhelds are limited to 7 watts due to being used so close to the face and head, the eyes absorb transmitted radiation the fastest. So given your circumstances, I know you don't want ham radio, but it might serve you far better. Ultimatley the decision is yours and you only have to please yourself. Good luck with your choice and God Bless. Billy
  2. Makes much more sense now! Thanks!
  3. Are those pictures reversed? Or are they all left hand rifles?
  4. I was heading out to church earlier so didn't take the time to upload a picture, but here is my "pack".
  5. I have 5 dogs, 3 of which are rescues. My avitar is one of them that just adores me and LOVES to be in my lap in the recliner! LOL
  6. Thanks for the quick replies, I still haven't fully decided to sbs it, as I also have an inexpensive side by side that I am leaning more toward chopping, not from value stand point but more toward fun of shooting. Thanks again!
  7. I inherited a Remington 870 and I honestly don't know much about shotguns. It came with an extended magazine but I am considering registering it as a short barrel shotgun and shortening the barrel to 13.5 inches, but (always a but) as I said, I don't know much about shotguns. Is there any pitfalls I may run into changing out the extended feed tube to a standard capacity one, or is it pretty straight forward? and what parts are needed besides the spring? Thanks for any help!
  8. You can get a replacement stock from Boyd's for around 80-90 bucks.

  14. Can someone give me an example of gun violence? I know what violence with a gun is. Someone can be violent with a gun, but gun violence is implying the gun acting on it's own and that I have never seen or heard of.

  17. Just say "NO" to tailgaters!!
  18. I am not disagreeing with you, however I would love to hear their definition of "shall not be infringed".
  19. Typically, it's not reloaders. It's people that know there is a shortage so they buy everything they can get their hands on, then turn around and post them for sale with a "slight" mark up. Personally, I wish everyone would refuse to buy from those people and they would be stuck with all the crap they bought.
  20. I don't know, but I'm thinking pump action.
  21. Wondering where this information came from. I just went to their website and there is no information that there is any plans to stop holding shoots.
  22. I have a 300 black out sbr and have been struggling with the same decision.
  23. What is sad is we "the People" have tolerated it for so long.
  24. I'm in the same boat, extra is a bear!!
  25. I am a general class licensed ham, if someone wants to set up a "get together" after April I would be glad to help out.
