Some nights around here sound like a slow day at a good range.

Instead of kiddie tats, here's guitar string used masterfully!

WOW!!! Thanks for that, StPatrick. -
No citations. Just a very stern warning while he tried to keep from laughing. I don't think he'd ever seen a possum before and had to be convinced that it was a varmint and not same tame animal.

You had to see it to believe. The little sucker kept trying to make a nest in my storage building and I kept running it out. We finally had a showdown about midnight under the full moon. I won the battle. But almost lost the war when Metro arrived to check out the noise. Every light in the area was on, and several neighbors watching as I explained to a young, thankfully sympathetic and understanding officer about dispatching the critter.

I realize that I'm out of touch with the "street fashions", but how does the washer keep his pants up? Seriously? Are they attached to the boxers? And no, I don't get it either.

Congratulations on having a home where you can step out on your porch and fire away. Always wanted to be able to do that. But my neighbors here in the city take a dim view of it. I think every person in several hundred yards woke up and called the local LEOs when I took out a rampaging possum in the back yard with a flashlight and a .38.

PIF: Christmas gift from one Titan fan to another
hipower replied to TNTitan's topic in General Chat
My grateful thanks to TnTitan for his offer. I had accepted conditionally if my wife could go, but she has objections. So...some one please accept this offer and have a great time at the game. And once again, A big "Thank You" for the offer. -

I vote for a possible commerical churn as well. I used some like these growing up with my grandparents. I would think it to be commerical or at least something like an old neighborhood milk service.

PHFFFFFTT!! From a Taurus owner. :P I think I'll send this to "He whose name must not be mentioned here". He's a great big "FAN" of Taurus.

Guys, could I have some help please? I have a S&W Model 41 with a 5 1/2'' barrel that was bought by my father before he passed away and I've never shot it. Not looking to sell or trade; just want to know how to identify the year it was made. I'm not familiar with the method that was used. The serial # begins with A******. Can you help? I'd very much appreciate any information. Thanks.

I kinda like it. Not big into rifles so I don't know all the pros/cons of the design but it looks to a novice no worse than some of the other exotic shapes I've seen.

Very Nice! I'm really getting the urge for another 22.

Before you try that, please think about it. Die grinder-- abrasive cutting edge. Brass casing filled with possibly unstable expolsive, definitely flammable powdery substance. Results not a positive, but possible bad reaction. Does the phrase " Hey Y'all! Watch This!'' come to mind?

As it happens, I am part Native American, Cherokee, to be exact. I just happen to believe in legal immigration and some semblence of a unified and united country whose laws and customs are respected rather than trampled upon by illegal border jumpers who come here obstensibly for a better life and proceed to make clusters of shanty-towns that look like the third world poverty ridden corruptness they left, break laws, kill, rape, maim, destroy property, don't pay taxes, run up my taxes, and then cry about how poorly they are treated before running down this land. And I am not anti immigration and do not hate those who work legally and live in civility. I believe my beliefs are just as valid as others are but don't try to force them upon others or send snide little cutsy catch-phrases that imply bigotry.
-
You, sir. Are obviously not in line with the correct-thinking, liberal-gotta-please the world and be universally liked, borders are old-fashioned, no one is illegal, COEXIST--spelled out with all those cute symbols in a decal on your car... the kind of person you should be.

I own several Taurus pistols, SA xd9sc, and a g22( not sub or sc) and don't think any would be a bad or wrong choice. My personal pick would be the xd9sc. Probably the highest cost of your choices. It's a good shoooter, accurate concealable for carry, and fun to shoot as well. No esperience with glock subs, but you know the reputation; and if the g22 is any indication; a compact glock should be great. But don't let a Taurus go by if you feel comfortable with it. I've had three Millinium pistols and several revolvers and haven't regreted any of them. Well, one of them. A 2" barrel 45LC. A real Handfull to shoot. Anyway, good luck.

Jamie, I don't know what to say except to wish you well and thank you for the good thought. I won't say I understand because if there's one thing I have learned in my life, it's that no one else here on earth really does understand the levels of stress and feelings of another. We can utter all the well wishes and sympathetic words available, and sometimes they can help, but until we experience the whole of another life... I don't think it's possible to understand. That being said...yes, hold on. Platitudes coming. Don't give in. The whole of life, in all it's extremes, and I do believe this, is better than not living. I look around and see people with strength of will and character, drive and ambition; those who seem to take life and take everything possible from it. Then I look at myself and see a person who very likely couldn't survive if not for having been lucky enough to have been born in this country and this era. I've walked thru life and not really lived it. I see that now and have many, many regrets. I can't change that now, but I can say to you...Please take each day as it comes. Live in it. Not thru it. And here it comes...please forgive, I must say it...Don't give up. For everything that comes to us is purposeful and we should attempt to encompass it and learn from it. Now I'm still a far ways from being able to do that fully, but I will and must try. I'm not a fully religous person, but I believe there is reason for very person and action; not always understood--mostly rarely understood, but it is there. I know a few words won't turn things around for you, but I'd like you to believe I have a slight clue about doubt and adversity. If I can attempt to make anything easier for you... by talking or messaging, just ask. If you don't mind, I'll add you to my prayers.

I don't have a 24/7, but still have 2 Millinium Pro pistols in 40 and 45. Both are good quality, inexpensive handguns. I used both for carry and had no problems or complaints. My understanding is that the OSS version is more of an upscale piece, and based on my Taurus experiences, I wouldn't hesitate to buy it if it suits you.

This just makes me want to cry for the Country and the bunch of fools that have come into positions of "authority". This kind of silliness ranks right up there with the idiot working for the TSA who refused to allow the late Col. Joe Foss board an airliner while wearing his own Medal Of Honor. If I remember correctly, the TSA guard not only didn't know what the medal was, who Col. Foss was, and tried to confiscate the medal saying it could be used as a weapon.

AMEN!!!!! I wish I'd written this. It's wonderfully said.

Just shows that even rock-hard bad-asses on a mission have a heart!

AMEN!!! CAN'T SAY IT ANY BETTER.
