  1. Ditto on the strawberry aroma! I still remember a strawberry-scented graduation gift from high school sweetie. To this day, heavy strawberry scent gives me a .... uh, let's make that gives me a flashback. Yeah, that's it. A very interesting flashback.
  2. Quirky, intense, downright strange at times. I liked his role in Speed. Then there was Blue Velvet to consider. Definitely an unusual man and actor.
  3. Hi from Nashville! Looks like we share a name.
  4. Deadly little toy. I was surprised by the shot on the glass mug.
  5. You won't regret getting a bigger safe than you think you really need. It's far better to have a little extra space now than not enough and decide you need more shortly after.

Yes, when money permits. I have several 45's now. Some compact forms of various manufacture; and a Springer LW Operator, a glock 30, and others. But bil got a Kimber Raptor set. a commander and fs to go with his new Raptor Ford truck. Fell in love with the full size immediately. I shot better with it than my own guns that day. But couldn't talk him into letting me keep it. Just my luck.
  7. I've had a 48-gun Stackon for several years and found it to be of more than just acceptable quality. Got it at Dick's during an emplyoyee sale for around 900 otd. Have been very satisfied til the Great Nashville Flood of 2010. Unfortunately, it's not waterproof. Two feet of water for about 24 hours does not sit well with firearms.
  8. Check out the Dixie Model Railroad Club in Nashville. Maybe they can help you.
  9. Congratulations to GGP2JZ! And thanks to brooksjr and boogieman for their generosity.
  10. Looks really good. I simply have got to get by and meet the legendery Phil of Belshire.
  11. Congratulations! Like all new acquisitions; we need pictures! God Bless you and the family.
  12. Take far more memory sticks/cards than you believe you'd use in your wildest dreams. My brother-in-law went several years ago and got some of the most amazing photos I've ever seen. The sunsets are spectacular. And the beautiful old gnarled trees as a backdrop cannot be missed. Have a wonderful time!

Absolutely Beautiful!!! When I sell some stuff, I'd sure like to get one; or a Kimber Raptor.
  14. Totally agree!
  15. Please include the cheap, broke old guy (me) in you kind act.
  16. The first four were pretty good. Missed the 5th, and thought the last was only fair. And if you've seen the movies, don't waste time reading Robert Parker's books; the movies are much better.
  17. Tom Selleck Penelope Cruz
  18. Don't be ashamed to say it! There are a lot of good, even great Taurus products out there that are reliably carried and used for edc and home defense; some guys are just possibly too brainwashed to admit it. My first full-time edc was a Milpro in .45 and was an excellent weapon. Granted, I bought for the low price then, and have graduated to more expensive guns in later years, but I still feel safe in taking it out anywhere.
  19. Good Luck and God Bless you. I know what you are going thru. Wife and I were rudely awakened by noise from the garage Sunday morning about 7:30 to find the fridge floating in 3 feet of water and the house surrounded by 4-5 feet. Dressed quickly, grabbed the dog and cat and went out the back door, wading around the garage to get to a place to climb up the hill beside us. Couldn't get past the corner because of swift water and had to wait for the neighbors who had been trying to get to us out. They could only hold on to our hands while waiting for the Fire Dept. to get there. Then a 24 ft. ladder was placed on the bank by the FD and we climbed up it. So we got out ok, but lost the cat in the water. Molly, the Austrialian Shepherd is great. She thought the water was playtime. Anyway, God really blessed us. We got out. The house has some floor damage. The heat pump is fried and the duct work will need replacing. The garage, my work shop and wifes craft room were pretty well totalled. Unfortunately, the gun safe wasn't safe. Two feet of water in it and it sat for 2days before we could get back in. I'm getting a lot of help from a wonderful brother-in-law whos is cleaning all the pistols and rifles for me while I try to salvage what I can from the rest. Looks like a couple of stocks will need refinishing and some long hours detailing the rest. But we weren't hurt, and we have a home still; unlike others around us. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining, just relating a story. My heartfelt thanks to neighbors and Metro Fire Dept. for all their help.
  20. After last week's thread on the Avatar release, I wondered what movie everyone would most like to see that hadn't been released on BR. One of my favorites was just released this week. I'd been wanting Armageddon for a long time. The sound is unreal on it and the clarity is tremendous. Even the dated effects and CGI work come across really well. What have you been wanting to see re-released in BR?
  21. Lets go back to fondling and drooling over guns. At least I can understand that.
  22. WTH!!??? I feel old and confused.
  23. Thanks. Will try to get down in next few weeks.
  24. And run around yelling "Armageddon, Armageddon!"
