  1. Great looking P7. I really like the looks of it. I've got o few water-damaged pistols that I'm considering having refinished, so thanks for posting the information and pictures.
  2. Great looking restroration!
  3. Chills. Tears. And pride in the old gentleman who sang. Thank You, Sir.
  4. The most depressing book I've ever read. And I've read a lot of books in my life.
  5. True Lies. Best James Bond movie (type) of all time. And over course, Jamie Lee Curtis didn't hurt the movie either.
  6. My bil has a Pk and really is fond of it. But with the size of 9mm, 40, and even 45's getting to the PPK/Pk range, why go with the 380? I'm not criticizing you or the cartridge, I still have a 380 Browning BDA. I'm just curious about your choice.
  7. It sure will. I'd heard about it from others here and around Nashville, but had just never gone in. He seems to have a great little business there and really is well known around the state. Phil told me he's planning to set up a display area in the store and that will surely add to his business.
  8. Doesn't surprise me. Just another youngster who can't appreciate the wisdom of the old geezers here.
  9. While meeting jtluttrell today at Belshire Hardware,(and getting his, now mine) PT1911; I went inside and talked with Phil for a while. Real nice, friendly, and helpful guy. He has rather good prices on his product. After getting a few quotes, I can say I will be buying from him soon. Looked at the RIA line. Especially liked the 9mm and 38super versions of the 1911. He will join my short list of people, not shops, to buy from.
  10. Ghost Tombstone Silverado Wyatt Earp AND----------LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS--Rick Moranis version. Classic scifi spoof and a darn good musical too! Operation Petticoat Mr. Roberts Where Eagles Dare Guns of Navarone
  11. I've tried to stop myself, really I have. But sometimes it's just too much and I'm forced to let something go. And then sanity returns and I regret it. If I have to pick two, my dad's 6" 38 special and a SA Champion Operator.
  12. Ditto.
  13. Yes, your judgement is sadly lacking in this respect. How can you not appreciate the humor and scarcasm in the movie? Oh well, at least you didn't say that you didn't like John wayne.
  14. Armageddon The Shootist The Terminator (the first) The Princess Bride The Shawshank Redemtion The Green Mile Heck, I can't limit to five only--so many really good movies still unnamed.
  15. Not being a glock expert, I think it is just the finger grooves and the light rail. I traded for my first glock last year--a gen 3 model 22 and like it. my next was 45 model 30. I like it much better than the 40

    "Good" Entry 1911

Taurus. Entry level 1911's normally will be in the 500-600 range and has been said, that's a basic model with no frills. With a little looking and bargaining, the PT1911 can be had for usually 550-650 otd pricing. And with that you'll get better sights and upgraded features at the entry pricing. Don't take me wrong though, there's nothing about a RIA that would stop me from buying if I found a really good price on one.

    Great News

That's Great! I know how much better that makes you feel. God Bless you and I wish for a speedy recovery. And Thank You.
  18. All of them? Sure seems like it. Especially since I'm still in the cleaning/repair stage of flood effects. It didn't seem like a lot of ammo and calibers till I started moving it all. 22 short/22lr/22mag/32/380/38/357/357sig/9mm/40/41AE/44special/44mag/ 45colt/45acp/556:popcorn: Ridiculous, isn't it? I definitely am going to eliminate some of these from my safe.
  19. Welcome to the site; inherent with all the wit, sarcasm, downright onryness, and sometimes even knowledge you can stand.

    Sorry!!

Beginning to appreciate European cars, especially M-B, more and more lately. Must have something to do with age.
  21. ^^Me too.
  22. Agree with all above comments! One of the best movies to come out of that era from Hollywood. And one of my many all-time favorite movies. So many great scenes in it that it's hard to pick a best one. But a few... when Oddball shoots the panzer in the rear with paint cannisters when the panzer commander raises his eyebrow at the bank and shoots the door open When the three shermans attack the railyard from the tunnel... and any Carroll O'Conner scene. Woof! Woof! PS Mike, how ya' doin?
  23. Welcome to the world of Taurus and the ridicule that comes with the sense to buy a good little pocket pistol. Although I prefer the 709 to yours. But hey, that's the fun of difference.

    Beretta owners

Have owned several Beretta guns; a 92/96/Cougar 8045-great pistol/ and still have a Desert Storm Commemorative and a 92/96 kit for 9mm/40. Like and have liked them all--just not my size for carry. Should've kept the 8045. Currently favor glock 30 and cz Rami 9mm.
