  1. Agree on both counts. I started seeing gleeful and tasteless vindictive comments Saturday on Faceclap. Seems the hate of the Civil and conservative knows no bounds.
  2. Can't say how long I have listened to "Uncle Phil Valentine. Since his early days and when I started on the road sales in the mid 90s, I think. Always enjoyed his take on life and politics. I, and many, many others, will sorely miss him. My condolences to his family and friends. Also praying for them and his radio family as well. May you Rest in Peace and bliss, away from the squabbles of this world.
  3. Loved that song! Another big loss for the music world. Tom T. was one of my Dad's favorites and I had to listen when we drove anywhere. Seems that Tom's works struck a chord in me, and I began to appreciate the man and his ability to touch my heart with his voice and his lyrics. May you write many wonderful songs for that Heavenly Choir.
  4. And that's why we love the TGO family!
  5. You say it well. As the husband of a retired RN of 43 years in nursing, I can say that I've heard all you have mentioned and maybe some other things as well. Short answer...I agree.
  6. The apocalypse must be near. I'm agreeing with you, Erik88.
  7. OK...my pitiful viewpoint. As an old, very much less mobile fat man who has cut down a few trees, and cut up a whole lot more after storms here...GET SOMEONE ELSE TO DO THIS!! I know, seeing me now, that statement is hard to believe; but I've tackled some really large trees. That was 10 years, and 50 pounds ago. On 2 good legs then. Don't risk it Greg. It's not worth it. AND...that poison ivy. A brief touch and I'm in misery with it. Same with poison oak. I can walk near Poison Sumac and get covered with it. Really don't even have to touch it.
  8. That would be awesome. Hope we can work it out sometime.
  9. I know(roughly) about where you are! I've shot at Bend of the River several times, but it's been long ago. Dad, my brother-in-law and I were there together on my last trip. Dad proceeded to educate us on the finer points of Skeet shooting! Kicked our butts! Miss him and those days. Actually I miss Tad as well.
  10. Second comment from me. My Shield Plus Performance Center 4" is climbing rapidly on my list. I like it more and more as time goes by.
  11. Maybe a Sicilian deer. Open contract on the hawk.
  12. Considering FUJIMO's location tag, I'm guessing the Knoxville Expo Center.
  13. Thanks. I'll have to Google her.
  14. OK...I give up. Who is she?
  15. I absolutely hate drive thru...especially in the days of closed dining rooms. Seems like it gets slower and slower all the time. It was bad enough before Covid. Now it's worse.

    Trunk gun

    Hilarious! Love It!
  17. Bass Pro charges you to go in? Seems rather chintzy since they try to scalp us on everything in their stores.
  18. You are not alone. I was going to ask that myself, but you beat me to it.
  19. Late chime in...but I vote for the Rock Island as well. I have several now, and have had others in the past. Have to say the 1911 9mm is my favorite, but the 45 is pretty great as well. Don't think you can go wrong with a Rock. First impressions on the Tisas is that it might actually be better than the Rock. Very tight gun. No shakes, rattles, or rolls. lol! Fit and finish on the Tisas is unbelievable. It's as tight as any 1911 I've laid my hands on. Granted that's not up to the number of you more experienced guys, but I think it would be a good choice. Xsubsailor mentioned a 9mm version. I haven't seen one, but sure would be interested. lol
  20. Yes. I have an older RCS(?) RSC. Can't remember the designation of the model. It's quite a good shooter.
  21. People have been reluctant to try the Canik line for quite a while, but most are like you. A few rounds and are not only impressed, but in love with them. Awesome pistols!! Jmo
  22. Personally...I think the best answer for me is this. Darn near all of them!
  23. I like the looks of that little Sig beside your favorite.
  24. Got several Smith 22s. They are just plain fun! And accurate too!
  25. No...it really is that small. Explorer sized vehicle.
