    new addittion

Congratulations on the new addition. I don't have anyexperience with the Bersa line, but from all the commentary here, I sure am getting curious about them.

    new pistol

Congratulations on the new addition. Don't own a 23, but the're nice. But I like my 30 better.
  3. I was In Eastside las week and checked out the Bodyguard 380. Personally, I didn't care for it. Hated the laser activation button, and really wasn't impressed with the trigger either. John showed my an LCR as a comparison for size...Guess what? Yeah...I bought it. Fell for it hook, line, and sinker. Felt great in my hands. Had a natural easy feel to pick up and have a good sight picture without shifting my grip around. Haven't shot it yet, I hope to take it out this week sometime.
  4. OK, I'll add to this as well. I've had a Colt Officer's Model since the mid-90's and have only put 2000 or so rounds thru it. But other than one mag with bent feed lips that frustrated me, it has digested everything from surplus hardball to hollowpoint SD. Granted, for me, it has become more of a range toy and most recently a safe queen. Also have a SA LW Loaded Operator and love to shoot it. Actually prefer it to the O Model.
  5. For whatever my opinion is worth...I've shot both and own neither one, but I'd choose the 23. Not a glock hater, I have a 22 and a 30. My personal preference of the four is the 30. Great shooter, Very accurate, and feels good on an owb for me. JMHO
  6. Ditto. I have the 44 ported Tracker also. Good, accurate shooter. Not real uncomfortable with magnum loads, but much more fun (and downright pleasant) with the special loads. And unlike my last ported cannon, it doesn't part my hair with the muzzle backblast. And for the record...that pistol was a Taurus also, a 2in in 45LC. It was a real bear.
  7. COMPLETELY AGREE. Bought a used 637 thinking it would be good for the older, weaker, arthritic right hand. Boy, was I wrong. But it's not too bad with Rabbi's 38 Plinky rounds.
  8. I'm a fan of the xdsc, but have you checked out the Ruger Sr9c? Really has a great feel to it, and the trigger is awesome.
  9. Another Zombie book...I haven't read it yet, but it was recommended by a store employee. It's a spoof of the Zombie Invasion Genre. The Zombies of Lake Woebegotten by Harrison Geillor.
  10. Sedona for sure! Beautiful hills, lots of color, woodlands, and desert trails available. If you have a rental, consider a ragtop for the trip. It's a little warm and dusty...but the scenery is worth it.
  11. Totally agree. Two mags should be the norm, but unfortunately there are quite a few manufacturers that don't agree with us on that. And the $35 seems to be the norm on .22 mags for the most part, at least the ones i can remember at this time.
  12. I agree. Sold a 220 several years ago to fund another purchase; another 1911 of course. I've regretted selling several times. I thought it a bit large and heavy as a carry for my taste. But YMMV. Personally, when opting for .45 carry now, it's usually a glock 30.
  13. I certainly hope so. Moss could be a definite help to the team's season. Even though he has the rep for being somewhat of a problem child; he's far from the kind of headache that Pacman and other "bigname" players have been. And even if he is on the downhill side of his career, he's still a high caliber player that should bring a level of consistancy to the recievers that we've been sadly lacking.
  14. Jamie, I'm so very sorry. Bless you all. Sorry I can't seem to link this here, but google "The Rainbow Bridge" and perhaps it will help.
  15. From the thread title, I thought we were going to talk about Forrest Gump.
  16. Yes, I've always thought that conceding the race with 2 to 5% of the votes counted was somewhat silly. Vote projections are exactly that--a projected educated guess.
  17. Great News! I don't get to Belevue very often, but tell us where and I'll patronize your establishment.
  18. Ditto. I got a package deal on my CT when purchasing the LCP. It seems like I made a good choice with it.
  19. Again, personal opinion only. I love my K and N frame Smith revolvers. Great shooting and very accurate. But I find the 4in+ length very awkward for carry.
  20. Personal Opinion Only. I like the 45. As an ex-wimp that grew up shooting 22/9/38's and didn't think I could stand the massive recoil of that monster .45 caliber; however, I decided that I liked my bil's Officer's Model Colt and started shooting the 45. I've since shot about 50/50 between the 40 and the 45. For me, I've found the 45 to be much more comfortable to shoot and manage than the 40. But as usual, YOMV. That's why there are so many different calibers available to us.
  21. Congrats on your new purchase. I'm glad you like it. I got an SR9c as well and sadly haven't had it on the range yet. But all I've heard so far have been real good comments on them.
  22. Didn't miss it at all....wait where's my meds?

    Preferences?

Best advice I've heard in as few words in a long time. Now I just gotta follow them.
  24. I like it!!
