My dad used it in his competition days in the sixties and swore by it. I haven't used any in years since I shot up the last that dad kept in his stash.

Yes, David. I understand that, but the underlying factor in all of this is money. Money for the new drug and safety programs. Money for the players who want more than the league minimum; and a change in the wage structure; more for the NFL pension funds. etc. My take in a nutshell. And I don't see hope for much change in it. As long as the star players and big-name draftees can demand and get these stupidly high contracts that seem to get more insane every year,the bottom line is higher prices. Higher tickets. Higher concessions. Higher jerseys and souviners at the outlandishly high stadiums that we taxpayers fund for the owners. And yes, I am a football fan.

Thanks for the feedback guys. As I posted earlier, I thnk that unless I find a steal on a conversion, I'm thinking that a Ruger MkII/III may be in my future. I've been offered a good price on one, but doesn't have the bull barrel I think I want. And a Happy New Year to you all!

Thanks, mav. The more I get into this, the more I begin to reconsider the kit idea. I'm having trouble searching on GlockTalk, but checking some other web locations don't leave me feeling warm and fuzzy about this. I wonder if a seperate 22 caliber gun isn't the best way to go. I've had the idea of a suppressed 22 on my mind for a while, so maybe looking for a bull barrel Ruger or a buckmark might be next.

Thanks, JReedEsq. Any comments on the kimber kits, anyone? From what I've read on here, the Advantage kits on the glocks seem to be quite popular, but not having experience with either, I'm hoping to be informed and educated by some of our more knowledgable members.

How about some feedback? I'm cosidering a 22 kit for one of my pistols. I have a blue Kimber ProCarry II that I'm tempted to get a Kimber kit for. And a couple of Glocks that might also be used--a 19 and a 22 that I'd think about an Advantage Arms kit. Money is not the issue; roughly 330 for the kimber and 275 for the glockkit. Anyone care to tell me of pro/con issues with either? Or have experience with either of them? Thanks.

Excellent work! Makes me think and look at some of the goodies I've bought in the name of smaller size. Some aren't that small.
