  2. For me...the best part is what you said about building memories with your dad.
  3. If I interpreted that correctly...that's not going to happen. LOL. Not sure where it will go when I'm gone, but have no intentions of selling. Possibly gifting to one of Dad's nephews that's begun competition in long range 22 for now. I think that would please both Dad and Remy. Anyway hope that's a little further off. But never know what the Good Lord has planned for me/us. Thanks for the option though.
  4. gregintenn...there are still some suprisingly open-to-rural areas withing the greater(LOL) Metro Davidson County/ Nashville landscape. Not many. And they are going fast! Not knowing where the op actually is...but some beautiful country outside the "Brentwood" landscape. I used to travel it to get to a few customers. Liked it. But hated the time it took to get there and back when I had an average of 40 stops a day.
  5. Actually....I may have rocked that fashion faux pau...once or twice.
  6. I have to tell you...I didn't put it together last night when I first saw it! Getting senile.
  7. Lots can be said for "bigger is better"...but bigger is usually more difficult because of size, shape, weight, etc. Have several that I actually prefer over the things like the LCP, but have had one with a frame/trigger guard laser on it from CTC that I've had since the LCP was introduced. Father-in-law and I were out looking for a pocket wheelie for him when I saw the Ruger. It really appealed to me, and I'm a sucker for lasers anyway. So it came home with me. I used to think I overpaid for it(around 600 for it and the laser), but now as pricing seems to be escalating on the pocket pistols...I'm ok with it. Long round-about way of saying I like the LCP a lot, but for the last 6 years or so, it's been a Shield that I go to. Been thru all the incarnations, and currently have a PC model and an extra mag on the belt.
  8. Nice piece! Really like the Airweights! Have a 317/22LR with CT Grips. Great little shooter!
  9. Lord...why do you let this man tempt me so? I DO NOT NEED another 22 in any flavor! Thinking about it. Nice plain rifle to trick out any way you might desire!
  10. Yes...I remember your posting sometime back. We all need to take a break at times. Welcome back to the madhouse!
  11. Hey David, I'm going to go into the past here. Remember the first(?) TGO shirts? Had the TGO/TN tri-star logo on the Chest. Had the "What part of shall not be infringed" on the back. Is there a chance we might see something similar again? Especially the chest logo. I wear this quite a lot and get the " where can I get one" question fairly often. Would it be a big seller now? I don't know, but I'd certainly like a couple more. I've got holes in mine from an old pair of suspenders. LoL. Just wondering.
  12. I was never a fan of Frank Herbert. Just didn't care for him. Tried reading Dune several times and just couldn't do it. Of course that was probably 25 years ago. But the idea of whole civilizations searching for, and fighting over giant worm dung just didn't grab me. These days...I might just have to try again.
  13. Might just have been my wifes' Dad. My father-in-law was the worst for this I've ever run across and taught me well. I've kept pieces of 2x everything! Pieces of plywood most people would burn! But best was the 2x10 ends cut from house rafters. We were cruising and found a job site with a full dumpster. Lord help me! We stopped and asked to go thru it for salvage. Got told to go ahead. We left with an 8' truck bed stacked and roped with all kinds of "scrap & treasure"! When he passed away, it took 4 of us to empty the shelves of his "Might need it someday" stash! LOL! I miss that man.
  14. Not to sound too poetic...but tomorrow will bring what you put into it. Work hard at living, pray, be optimistic. And stay with us. Prayers, my friend.
  15. This location is not for everyone...that's my pesonal opinion, and I'm stickin' to it. First not a typical range setup. I was just drooling over the prospect of having a range 8 miles from my door! Then found that it's more of a training academy than I wanted. Nothing wrong with that...but I can't utilize the setup. Leg issues require a cane. The instructor's first comment to me was something to the effect of...do you have to have that to walk and move? All but told me during the conversation that I couldn't use it. Secondly, and not a critizism...good selection of products. Yes, typical gun/specialty store high prices on almost everything. People seemed friendly enough, and knew more than I did, but that didn't take much. I haven't been in maybe 5 times since they opened. Just not the store for me.
  16. Been real happy with my Rossi 357 rifle. Bought it on impluse when Tad and I were in Knoxville some years ago to go to SMGW. Met a K-town member to look at some knives, and the next thing I know, I own a lever gun! LOL! I have to admit that is a gorgeous pistol, but have several Smith 357s and would be hard to justify buying another. However...that 3" is awesome looking! And I really do want to meet up with you sometime. It just always seems something happens to keep me away from you. Mabe I'm not supposed to...you probably would offer to sell me something I don't need!
  17. Good luck with that one! Still trying to justify the stack of boxes I haven't been able to hide!
  18. Yep. That just stopped my lusting for one right there! Smith always has some nice things!
  19. My late brother-in-law would have had this plastered on his truck, and at least one wall at home. Tad lived his like like this.
  20. If it's available...I'll take the Bullard holster and mag pouch, plus the Eagle Creek 48" belt. PM inbound.
  21. SWEET!!! I'd buy it! have had good times with my few Rossi revolvers! Heck! I'm a cheapo and would go as far as 300 for it! LOL.
  22. That's a gorgeous rifle!!
  23. Nice looking setup. Looks like the ideal for a novice AK guy, or one who just doesn't shoot every weekend. So far...I'm describing myself here. Got a badly done, camoed ( it came that way. I wouldn't do it) Polish underfolder that works for me. Had it 5+ years. Taken it out 2 times. Anyway, that's off track. I think this is a very nice package and anyone wanting to go the AK route would be well servrf by this rifle. If I didn't have mine...I'd be a potential buyer. I wish you a speedy sale sir.
