  1. FWIW, wife and I had something late December of 2019. Hit us pretty hard for a week or so. Usual symtomology from this. Nothing else until last week of December '21 and a few days in and around New Years. Then we've both felt a little down again. Mild flu-like symptoms, nothing bad. We stayed inside and self medicated. Our PCC agreed with us staying home. Said not to come out unless drastic change for the worse. Wife, as a retired nurse, kept saying probably omicron. I think so. I was vaxxed, she wasn't. No outside testing done. I don't see the benefit. We rarely go out anywhere. I do shopping. She stays in. All is good now.
  2. Don't do that!! Further temptation it would be on me! I have the Commander size of it from years ago.
  3. I have found that to be the case. Many times since I've been here.
  4. OMG!!! Those EVIL people actually showed kids shooting those horrendous things! And even put a Knife in one set!! LOL!!
  5. All attempts at humor aside...I strongly believe a work program for prisoners is the way to go. It worked until we got soft-hearted and worried about their feelings.
  6. I had a mental tally of who I thought would offer to help out first. I got 2 right. Waiting on the third to chime in. lol
  7. Well we could take a lesson from Escape from L.A. California is all but lost anyway...wall it off and drop all the problems into LA and 'Frisco. They pretty much control things now anyway.
  8. All I can say is "you rock!" Dad! Great thing to do.
  9. Just shows that even among we "like minded" people, there are differences of opinion on how to treat crime/criminals as it happens and what to do with said individuals after the fact. I personally am for stricter enforcement of existing laws. We have enough already written to cover just about every crime known to man and a few we probably haven't thought of. Catch the criminals, try them quickly, put them in prisions. Not federal day camps. Work programs for the days...yes! Penalties/retribution should and must be enforced to teach that there are consequences to actions. Education and traing programs? Sure. But make the inmates earn the privilage. Show them how it will be after release. Both if they are idiots and knuckleheads that will likely be back shortly; and how life could be for them by accepting responsibility for self and in many cases...families they let down by doing stupid things. Punishments should and must be enforced to show how to live and how quickly that life can be changed or extinguished by personal choices. Hardcase? Yes, I lean that way. But having a father and 2 uncles that worked the Tn State Prison systems for years will tend to give you a different view than that of the "reform the system" people. As always...Just My Opinion.
  10. I absolutely cannot believe this is still avaiable! The TRP is a vastly under-rated firearm! My opinion. I owned one for a short time several years ago. I had a serious case of buyer's remorse because I'd NEVER paid over 1300 for a pistol. I couldn't bring myself to shoot it. Genuinely one of the absolutetly prettiest pistols I had ever seen! But the price scared me. I was really afraid to think I might scratch it. I immediately put it out for sale and found a buyer very quickly. One who appreciated the weapon and wasn't hard up for the money...that I really needed. Why did I buy it then, you ask? Well, I had shot my buddy's much used and less attractive TRP quite a bit and wanted one like it. Great pistol! Why don't I go for this one now? Almost the same situation again. Just cannot put out that much cash for it now. If I could and not be worried about it...well you get the idea. Anyway, this is just my story and bump for a good guy and a great pistol! Short of buying a Wilson, this is one of the best you can get. 'Nuff said!
  11. Really? My late brother-in-law always told me that wasn't the case. I questioned it, but with his background, I accepted it. Sort of puts things in another light. lol
  12. Tempting. But not ready to have another caliber to feed. lol Like side chargers!

Joe, I had one in my hands for a short time. It was impressive. Never fired it. Wanted the money out of it instead. NOW I find myself regretting it. lol I have fired a 920 and really like it. Felt good, better than a Glock, more on a par with one of my Caniks to me. Better than anything else I have or have owned...maybe. Lots of people seem to love them. TGO David, phiferran, and my sometimes shooting buddy Corey as examples. I wouldn't mind owning one (again), and might even shoot it. LOL. But you know me and keeping things for very long. Looking for another to just fall into my lap again.
  14. Just had to gig you a bit on this. lol. I love my Shield Plus, have a Smith that you and Nate both touched and moded a bit, and your (first) P10c. Considered buying a CSX yesterday, but still waiting on a SA35. lol I guess I'm just fawning over your choices a bit. I've found that my limited knowledge has been enhanced through the 2 of you. Back on point, ALL manufacturers sometimes have problems, and sadly you encountered a doozy. I've had to use Smith's warranty 2 times in the last 15 years. Both problems were resolved within 2 weeks for me. However, times have changed and people as well. GOOD quality is expected, but not always found at the purchaser's choice. Well, the gist of this rambling missive is just to say I feel for your pain, and hope it gets back to you quickly.
  15. Or maybe a Walther, a Sig, a Canik...even a Taurus? LOL!
  16. Pardon my ignorance please...but isn't 7.62x25 a European/Commie Block caliber? Like the Tokarov? That would be a very hot little round for the Glocks. Sort of one-upping the .357Sig? All this is moot if it's just another tease, but might be an interesting combo. Edit...HandsomeRob beat me to it. I should read the whole thread before commenting. lol
  17. I"M IN! Take my money!
  18. To be perfecty honest...I really cannot pick just one. A S&W Model 19, a 1911 9mm, or a CZ P 01. But force me and currently I'd pick my PDP compact.
  19. 30 seems to be the norm around me.
  20. Had a 52 for a while. Sold it for a small boatload, well a dinghy anyway, of money! Great Pistol. Pain in the patootie to disassemble/clean/reassemble. For me anyway.
  21. Love to. but can't at this time. We are asking friends and neighbors. Go to find them a home!
  22. I laughed when I saw this! I Love It!
  23. Did that at an auction about 10 years back. A set of Colt Commerative 1911s...WWII pistols. Gorgeous guns. Bought at a good, but not great price. Sadly, I took an offer on them later. Wish I'd kept them.
