  1. Congrats on your purchase and plans. But mine was sold to a member here. I Rarely sell to a shop, way too much loss in doing so. I have done some trading with a local shop. In doing so, I think I was even at best.
  2. Makeshift hearing protectors?
  3. Again, I offer my prayers for healing for you friend's family; and the loss of your friend. Until we lost Steelharp, I just didn't really give much credence to the Chinese/Fauci concoction. But since then, I've been touched by loss on all sides. Family, friends, and just people I had contact with over my lifetime. There is just no real understanding of the foul infection and who will survive a bout with it. By all rights, from the things we have been told and seen...I should not be here. From my age, my compromised immune system and general health history, and being considerably overweight...I am a ticking timebomb waiting to explode. After all the things I've commented upon, I have now come to believe that I did have a case of Covid at an early time, as well as a session for both my wife and myself with Omicron recently. All I can understand is that I have something left to do on this earth. Just doesn't seem right that so many good people with lives well lived, and family around them dependent on them should be gone and me still here. Again magic, my condolences for your loss, and my prayers for us all.
  4. I'm sorry for your loss just isn't enough. But few words can help at a time like this. I offer my prayers for you and your family.
  5. Tempting. But do I need another SFX? Not sure.
  6. NickinTn is the man responsible for me buying one! LOL! Saw him comment on these way back then, when first released. Wild stories flying about concerning what they were and why released. I bought one and thought to myself..."You're Crazy!" You don't even shoot the one you have now! I lost the conversation. It's one of the most beautiful Berettas I have ever seen. And the answer is no, I've never shot it either. Just never liked the big, heavy pistol. Someday I may offer mine for sale. Someday. LOL. But when I do, the Desert Storm model will go as well.
  7. Dang! Always the other side of the world! Sold a Wingmaster years ago. Bad, bad move!
  8. No one needs THAT many of the same pistol! What do you think they are...Caniks!?!?
  9. Oh how I hope tecnica bought this! It will keep me from using my SA35 money!
  10. Snaveba...here's your mags!!!
  11. About the best item for me from Taco Gutexpander is the chicken soft taco. Also 1.49 I think. My wife usually brings them in for me.
  12. I've never owned nor shot one of the P series Rugers. Not sure I've even picked one up. Surely I have in all the places I went, but I just don't remember them. If I did, it didn't make an impression on me at the time. lol! So...have I missed out on a hidden gem?
  13. Video is gone from this link evidently. I'd like to see it, so I'll go to Ch 4 and try to find it.
  14. Well, don't waste time looking; but if one should just appear out of thin air...please let me know. I must find out why you are so very enamored with these pistols!
  15. You've been talking these up for so long...you've got me interested! Perhaps you might find another? lol!
  16. That is true, just as a good 1911 may need lubrication from light to dripping to operate well; some need to find the right "spot" for it. But no amount of lube will correct a poorly manufactured firearm. Some Mosquitos were crap. Some were good. The good ones I understand were much later in the manufacture. Also, I understand that more than one source was used in that pistol's run. I'm sure that will account for both our experiences with them.
  17. Glad you got a good Mosquito. However my experiences with th Mosquito were totally different. I went with cheap ATI and found it more agreeable to me.
  18. Evidently, there are beaucoup variants on the Shield Plus. But I stand by my earlier comments. I really, really like mine. If not in Memphis, I think I would own another one!
  19. Like your choices. Maybe not so much on the Mark 1, but definitely on the P210. Your GP 100 sounds like the Model 19 Smith I got from my Dad. Old, reliable, sweet trigger, and a pussycat with 38 loads in it. But more of a Tiger with a hot 357!
  20. I once was...for most of my family. Some still say that's true.
  21. I like it! A great short term storage idea!
  22. Glad you're feeling better. If I make it back up your way someday, with your permission, might give you a shout. Spent a little time in the thriving metropolis of Cookeville. lol. Actually grew up and lived in Baxter and had a trailer apartment in Cookeville until I met my wife and moved to Nashville in '74/'75. Can't remember when exactly. The place sure has grown since then!
  23. Over the past 2 decades, I've had at least 3, maybe 4 Sig Mosquitos come thru my hands. In the days my late brother-in-law and I almost lived in the midstate gun shows, I'd find them for a really low price and buy them. Personal opinion. All of them were junk. You name the problem in cheap 22's and it had them. Dropped one and cracked the slide. Sold it for a parts gun. Think I got 50 for it. I felt like I'd robbed somebody at that. I just didn't learn. lol If I saw one cheap, I bought it. Should have thought that over more carefully. When I sold the last one at the old and great Hendersonville Expo Center show, I vowed to never buy another! So far, I've made. In the last few years, I've seen comments on here that they are better now. I'll let you find out. I'm not buying one again...unless it's real cheap!
  24. The Gun Crew in Old Hickory. Good people. Good selection. A bit of a constant state of clutter with so much product in and out there.
  25. Welcome to the group! Enter at your on risk, dangerous people reside here. Many are off their meds!
