  1. Good man to deal with! Go for it...good pistol and better price. Just not for me. lol.
  2. Man he's got old! LOL! I hadn't seen a pic of him since the John Boy and Billy Days here in Nashville. Voice seems to be a bit off too. But I guess that comes with age and the stuff he's supposed to have been into. Now that I think of it...it's probably been 20+ years since I saw REK. Listened a lot though. I think The Road Goes on Forever is about my fav. But all good in that country/Texarkana/redneck sor t of way. Still like his stuff though. Wife doesn't. Strange.
  3. Well, I won't waste any more time looking. I've gone thru several pages of links and haven't found the one I saw yet. So let's just chalk it up to speed reading and misinterpretation. And yes...old eyes. But...I still think that's what I read in one of the reviews. In any case, since it seems I can still use the original mags, I may just order one of the WC modules for it.
  4. Well, this strange. The other day when I started looking at this, I googled the WC Grip exchange and got more places to look than I could go thru. But I swear that one said that the WC module xchange did require the 17s. Perhaps a misprint of info. But i did see that. I'll look later for the offending link.
  5. So...remove the brace and be legal with the tube only?
  6. My understanding is that changing to the Wilson Grip Module requires you to use the 17 round mags. I'm looking at the new Sig module for the 365XL. Not as snazzy looking, but can still use the 15 round mags with it.
  7. Why did you replace the 407? Curious.
  8. Had one since it's initial release. Saw it. Liked it. Added a frame mounted laser to it. Never had an issue with it. Have used most brands 380 with it, but I prefer some of the hotter European rounds with mine. The Priv Partisan is great in it. Yes, a bit of a snap and a bark...but it works for me. Pocket or belt slide. Though I love a little no name slider I got years ago. It just drops in and has a very snug fit. Leaves only enough of the grip exposed to grab it without too much trouble. However, the little slide had begun to stretch out where the belt feeds thru. I may have to soon start looking again for another.
  9. Thanks for the info. I'll be looking at this one.
  10. Don't know about this one, but do you know of the new On Target Range at Old Hickory Blvd and Lebanon Road/Hwy 70? Been watching and waiting for this one. It's open. At Last! Stopped in Thursday and took a bit of a tour, met most of the staff, and inadvertly, one of the owners. I was jabbering away with a gentleman when it daawned on me that his replies were a bit different than I was expecting. LOL! Real observant of me. The conversation started over my comments on his vehicle. Don't ask me his name. I'm old and forget things easily. Anyway, I took the plunge and joined. It's nice looking, clean, and the staff were mostly people I had met before on different locations and circumstances. The proximity to me, and my disgust with Hendersonville's G&L(long story) really solidified my choice. Family membership was 399 per year. Not great, but not bad. Some of the typical perks go along with it. Discounts on rentals, purchases, and free range passes. The typical restrictions on steel core and green tip ammo. I didn't ask about reloads. Top caliber is 308, so that should cover most of my casual needs. Rifle and pistol capable of course. Sorry, I forget the complete hours and number of lanes, but seemed very much like a good place for me. I was sold. Haven't had a chance to go and shoot yet, but really looking forward to it. I had one disappointment. The staff member I spent most of the time with wasn't awar of TGO! Stunning! I tried to enlighten him. So if you go by, tell whomever you talk to of TGO and that a new member recommended the place. That certainly won't get you anything, but might make them aware of TGO and the number of potential shooters/customers in the area. Hope this might help you.
  11. I'm thinking a recreation. Look at the kneepads on the soldier on the left.
  12. You knew Bill? The Rabbi? My, my. You do have quite the circle of friends. lol.
  13. But it was very entertaining while he was here! Always wished Bill B. was around here at that time. Wouldn't that have made for some wild episodes, KarhMan?
  14. So Happy! I was tempted and getting weak in the knees! But holding out for the Rival!
  15. Actually got to see and touch one of these at a private auction in the late 90s. I liked it. The look and feel was perfect for me. I thought I saw a lot of the P-38 influence in the design. No...I didn't even attempt to bid. Way out of my league!
  16. Very interesting. I'm guessing the expended cases were ejected from the cyclinder from the rotational force? There have been some truly amazing and unique firearms built. Wish I had them all!!
  17. That's true, but I've had little negative response outside of the threads that sometimes get a little wonky. You've been here for a while and seen some of those. However, there have been some really wild ones in the past. Politics, mall ninjas, FPS Russia, and a host of others have near incited riots at times. OK that's an exaggeration, but I do understand what you say. Still, I give TGO high marks. It was a needed refuge for me at one time. Personal background...found TGO, TGO David, and The one Who Shall Not Be Named... just as I started my Cancer/Chemo journey. Gave me a lift with its people and sometimes humor. Helped me a lot, so I have some strong feelings for TGO. Yes, we do seem to have a healthy cross-section of people and attitudes here, though I think pretty strongly weighted to "our" side. And we do see some strong opinions, frequently, on issues. Anyway, thanks for your comments.
  18. Met mills213 this morning. A gentleman. Kind an generous. My Beretta 92 thanks you. Thank you.

That's my biggest battle right now. My wife has issues that are worse than mine, and I struggle to better myself for her sake.
  20. I've heard rumblings of that as well. Personally I don't care for the color format either. I find it difficult to read and I don't even have those fancy lenses the readers have.
  21. Good day, my friends and brothers in arms. I took a hiatus from the forum for the better part of this year. Lots of reasons, none really worthy of detailing or complaining about here. A few know some things, but that's not relavent to this commentary. Just say I'm getting better and am attempting a "comeback" of sorts. So I'm sitting here today, just reading all the threads, past and present; when I stumble across the "Leaderboard" section. Of course I'm familiar with the daily and weekly scorekeeping. It's fun to watch, and lets us know the true diehard members here. But as I went deeper into it, I ran across thos older threads that I hadn't seen for a long while. It was illumuninating, to say the least. Those that made me remember just what a tremendous place and experience TGO really is. I read of new additions to family, and loss as well. Loss of wonderful people. Steelharp always come to mind for me, but too many others as well. Praise for good deeds that went unnoticed by some, and raved about by others. I saw the pride in childrens' accomplishents; like Links posting of his son's graduation, of Tercel89 telling of the pride in his son saving a life with CPR, the times we have all thanked veterans, bought meals and taken checks at dining places. The times that help was volunteered without being asked. Several in particular had me in tears re-living the events. I won't mention names. It's not necessary. When a brother was in need and selling his weapons...help was immediate and plentiful. When some medical bills for some, and vet bills for others were piling up...help came again. If you know...you know. People here step up! That is a constant. It's what makes this a great community. One that I missed and am proud to be a small part of. So as I make my way back, in many things; I just want to remind us all what a wonderous thing we have here. Something built by David, the Admin Staff, and each and every individual that comes in. A place for comfort and comaraderie, a place of knowledge sharing and humor. A place to be valued and prized.
  22. Like the looks of it. Is the angle straighter than the Sig grip? Sor of looks like it. Does it allow the use of the standard XL mags? Looks like a sort of builtin mag well. Overall it shows promise.
  23. Brandon and his handlers are effing us and the entire country! I think that pretty much covers it all.
  24. Yeah, the Caddy. Haven't been around for a while and didn't know how long you've had it.
