Well said sir! I've been saying this all along. Yet most people don't seem to understand that just because Biden says it's so...You just can't magically produce all the extra electricity overnight. Nor do they understand the problems in cost of manufacture and disposal of the EV products. I sort of like the idea actually, but we just aren't at that point where it's feasable yet.

Sorry Nick for jumping in on your post, but since your post way back when...is responsible for my buying this Beretta, I just had to. Thanks for cluing me in on this fine piece. Now sell fast before I make my wife upset by wanting a second for a shooter! -
I'd love to double my current stash. A hundred rounds or so should do it!

Been there. Done that. Many times. LOL.

Useless reply here. I totally wish I could afford this! It's a hellavua package! GLWS

pending Beretta 92 Volunteer edition - SPM on 2/4

This may or may not be true, but one of the tales on the Tennessee Beretta floating around back then is this. Supposedly a shipment of pistols destined to become Wilson Combat specials were turned down by WC. I don't know why. When they were returned to Beretta, rather than destroy them and take a loss on the order; the big-wigs decided to do a bit of work and the slides and sell them to the public. I heard this story several times, as I said, have no verification on it. Sounds good anyway. -
As Grayfox54 says, know what you're capable of doing before "customizing." My skills are such that I would not attempt many things I see done. My eyesight and hands are not good for many changes anymore. I personally buy stock condition and generally leave it as is. My only exception to this is a few I've bought from 2 gentlemen here, whose abilities are known to me and this forum. Although these pistols were slightly modified, I knew these men and their reputations and work for items like triggers and sights.

INSANE! Owning is ok? Just can't mount it? Sounds like the old auto-knife days when they could be sold; it just wasn't legal to carry them.
-
A solution, yes. But most that I know of, have these braces on items with barrel lengths of less than 16".

What's the official and unofficial proscribed methods of "getting rid of it?"

Nosey guy wants to know which forum it is. lol.

Those grips are gorgeous! Do you remember what they're called and where you got them? I've got a 4" Mountain Gun they would look fantastic on! Thanks.

Was it the one on a cold, wet, and windy day? I was at that one.

I believe this! Mine brings up an incident from 40 years ago every now and then. I don't think I'll ever be forgiven for it.
-
Yeah...I always wondered about that.

Equally good was El Dorado. If I remember correctly, El Dorado was JW's "corrected" version of Rio Bravo. Seems he didn't like it and did a remake to suite himself.

DAMN...she was a FINE looking female!

Just spit-ballin' here...but would a mass meeting of members be of any use? Just to guage actions and reactions? If I had the space, I'd offer our place for a meet, but couldn't really accomodate but 2/3 people.

Lots of ambiguity there. I'm still not sure where it all really stands. As for the 120 day "free" registration...I really don't know what I'd do if I had such a creature.

I guess I'm blessed on the dryer venting. It has a hole cut into the wall and vents directly outside. I do have to clean and duct tape the vent every year, but easy to do.

Lots of new pistols recently. Being a longtime RIA fan; I am, like MacGyver, very much interested in seeing and shooting one. Not outrageously priced, but at hovering around 1K, it will not be a likely addition anytime soon for me. Also like the fact that it's made in the continental USA and not an import; but that's not a buying issue for most of us. I see the Canik Rival S being a competitor for this RIA. Sounds like booth are going to be very popular with range and competition shooters. Simply because I'm so vested in the Canik line, I would probably go for the Rival S first. But if money were no object...The RIA 5.0 would go into the number one position for me. Either would be an awesome addition to any shooter's safe though.

Very much appreciate your comments on the FN HiPower. I'm really wanting the Springfield version, the SA35, at this point; but being the person that I am...I wouldn't rule out trying to acquire the FN as well. Funds a little tight at the moment, but I did foolishly buy the Girsan version last week. I haven't gotten the opportunity to fire it yet, but hope to very soon. I'll pass along my impressions when I do. BTW, I got the FDE model as well. Purchased from CDNN. Then they serve up the really nice looking version with better sights and VZ grips! Always something better AFTER you make a buy!

Then buy it!!! LOL! Seriously, that's a great price for a peach of a carry pistol. If my arthritic hands could handle the 45...I'd have already bought this! And speaking of buying...let me tell you from multiple experiences with tercel89; you won't find a better man to deal with...with the possible exception of me! Really, I've made several purchases from him over our years here and always been extremely happy with them. And you'll get to meet of of the most upstanding members of this group when you do.
