  1. Between Garufa. Grayfox, Smith and a few others; it would be hard not to get a pistol or rifle, identified around here!
  2. I have to ponder on this for a bit.
  3. I actually like listening to the sound of rain on the roof...especially a tin roof. One of the best nights I ever had was in a trailer listening to the rain hitting the roof. Of course, there were other things going on that intensified the magic of that night. A very fond memory!
  4. OK!! I'm in! All it took was Raylan. I'll be there. As far as Elmore Lenoard, well truth be told, I really never liked him. But I guess I'll have to by the book and give it a try.
  5. Rather good show. I've seen a few episodes and like it becuse it's different and educational as well. Seems like there was a show on bridge bridge building a few years back. Show the construction of some of the amazing bridges in Eastern and Western Europe. Now that was a fantastic show!
  6. I may or may not have sent you on the road to kindle readers, but I still haven't commited to them. The old eyes just don't like reading from a small screen. Plus, I'm still hooked on hard copies of books. LOL! But if we do actually move. I'll be up the creek with a sinking canoe full of books!
  7. Well, I hate being right! Several big limbs from older trees inside and on the fenced area in back. Guess my lawn helper will have some fun times with it.
  8. Sitting here in Inglewood at 2:15 am listening to the rain and rumblings of thunder. Just had what sounded like a lightening strike in the back yard. Very bright and intense light! Sounded like a tree strike possibly. Have lots of old trees around. Might get up to find a few limbs down.
  9. In my younger days...lol! That's an awesome air rifle. I believe my late brother-in-law talked about having owned one for a time. Told me it was not made for wimps like me, but for real men with arms and shoulders like a linebacker! He was pretty knowledgeable on weapons, so I'd believe him. At any rate, I bet it would stir up the liberals on my street as I sat out popping squirrels and crows! They get crazy enough whem I'm sitting out with my el cheapo air rifle now. I've seriously had them call me out for having a firearm out in the yard. GLWS. Some lucky person will have fun with this one!
  10. You enjoy tempting me...don't you!
  11. So sad. She was and always will be, one of the most beautiful women of this world.
  12. 60? A mere youngster! LOL! Don't believe I need to recommend anything for you! However, if you like finding 50s-70s syfy...check out otisthesyfyguy website. He's in Portland, Oregon, and has some very good older books in absolutely great condition. I've gotten some classic CM Kornbluth and Eric Frank Russell from him. Many others as well. I'm having to really pare down my books these days. Ran out of space long ago, and it just kills me to box them and place in the garage. But as we are contemplating a move in the near to ver near future, I have to make choices. I just have far too many "hobbies" and my status is rapidly changing from collector/accumulator to now full-blown hoarder. If we ever make the talked about Knoxville trip, I'll check in with you and brina few up for you.
  13. Corrected that for ya!!
  14. I really liked Shogun. That was pretty easy to read. Or so I think. Once had a reading rate nearing 1500wpm, but that was after the Evelyn Woodhead Sped Redin Course from SNL!! Much lower rate these days, and my comprehension and retention levels off a lot as well. Still have a VHS copy of it somewhere! lol!
  15. Yes. Would that I had unlimited spendable cash. lol. Smith would be getting a lot of it these days.
  16. Episode 3, or was it 4? Not really remembering at the moment. Anyway, I thought was a decent filler. But not really necessary in the story. I fully believe, and told my wife this...it was thrown in just for the sake of the LBGTQ??? Had to appease the woke gods. Totally unnecessary for the story. JMO.
  17. Tyrion is definitely my favorite of the GOT characters. A few others come close...but not close enough. You've read all 5 books?!? I bow in your general direction...sir.
  18. Oh my stars and garters! That's nice!!
  19. I wonder if he has a headache after wards? Or a head.
  20. N-ot sure it's ALL, buddy. Unless it's changed. I think it's 50/75/100 depending on the model.
  21. Don'e overlook Canik!!! Wise words. Canik has very good, feature packed pistols at very competative prices. Right out of the box they are fantastic. Don't ask me how I know. I'll talk your ear off!! But...as Smith says, S&W rebates are very tempting for buyers right now. Combine that with some lower prices lately and S&W becomes very attractive. Disclaimer...I own or have owned all three. For me, the 320 comes in last. S&W number 2, and the Caniks are in first place. JMO.
  22. Last Ford Show I went to was in early 2000s It was a mess even then. Could get around better on foot than in a vehicle. Even the crowd was bad that year. Almost elbow to elbow walking down the streets. I haven't been back since a trip to SMGW a few years ago.
  23. PPHHFFFTTTT! Still think it looks like her! lol.
  24. GOA / NAGR
  25. I believe that would be the fabulous Faye Duyaway when she actually looked good. Didn't age well I thought. Got thin faced and harrpish looking.
