  1. Granted I haven't bought vinyl in years, but I agree with these locations. Mckays seem to be a bit better organized and easier to see and search than Great Escape. JMO I haven't been to Phonoluxe or Grimey's in at least 10 years. Never been to Third Man Records, so can't comment there. However, unless you got a LOT of time to spend looking around; I would suggest going to West Nashville to start your search. The Great Escape Store on Charlotte Avenue, and then hop on 40W and get McKays at Exit 199(I think). If you are anything like me in searching, these two and a lunch break will occupy the entire day. Good luck in you hunt, and have fun!
  2. Unreasonable request I know. But anyone have spare/unused/unneeded .22 mags for PPK/s? If any of you eagle-eyed guys notice a change here, It's because I deleted the origional ad. Thought I had located some, but turned out to be .32 mags. I may just bite the bulledt and order some, but thought I'd try here first.
  3. I'm seeing12.0 to 13.00 on many of the traditional online sellers, I.E., GrabAGun, PSA, and the like. Most times it is 115, but if you look constantly; 124 shows us as well. Since both Fiocchi and S&B are about at the top of my favorite ammo list, I watch for the sales. Sometimes, but not often, I find "free shipping" above 99 or 200 bucks. I'm trying to get an order together now.
  4. Very sorry to hear this, but also happy you are still with us and doing well. Take care. Do exactly what they tell you. Do all the PT. DO NOT over exert yourself. This means no drinking, corousing, no sex, and no guns for a while. In fact, you should send them to me and I'll care for them.
  5. I had a McD's on the main street corner as I went out from home going to work. I had a REAL bad morning routine for years. 2 Egg McMuffins, Hash Browns, 2 Apple Pies, and a Large Dr. Pepper or Sweet Tea every morning on my way to work. I could be the poster boy for that ad. It's a miracle I survied those days!
  6. Paul Tags...look at the date on the origional post you replied to. It's 7 years old. Ishel posted a current show date. Have to look at the dates on posts sometimes; it can get confusing. I've done it too.
  7. "Tomorrow is promised to no one." Thank you, I would like to think so. But with my history. I might not bet on me for longevity.

    Cornbread

My friend...I sorely miss gatherings like that. We are pretty much alone now. It hurts to think of it.
  9. Pretty much the same way I found mine as well. Would like to have all the iterations of the HP family, but I just don't have a Master of Coin that allows it!
  10. Well...In my defense. I haven't done a complete and thorough inventory on pistols and ammo in about 4 years. In that time, I have gotten a few new homes, and added a few. But I confess to not keeping good records like I once did. Really need to change that. Will make it easier on the wife when she needs info.
  11. Had a few good examples of HPs over the years, but my unicorn was the Canadian HP with the Rifle stock that held the pistol. Not seen many of them, but the price and condition usually stopped me. Plus all the NFA BS. So I've been happy with what I have now...a beautiful Tangent Sight El Capitan, and a pretty nice "Practical Tactical, are my "keepers" for now. One Belgian MKII is my shooter, It was the first one I ever bought. Had a BDM as well. It shot well. Never really understood some of the dislike for it. OC...I'm wondering now about something you said. Cannot remember as I sit here, what it was called; but the alloy frame model...I'll have to check. But I think I still have one.

    Cornbread

LOL!! My paterna Grandmother would agree with you. Her cornbreads ranged from the traditional for "sopping up bean juice" to HOT peppered breads. They were all great. However...my Maternal Granny loved sweet cornbread. Loved it with pinto beans and onions. I actually think I preffered it that way. The last I ate was a bit sweet, not heavily sugared, but enough to be quite good.
  13. IN the Lower Right corner...is that a "Detective"? I confess to not having shot it as yet, but did pick up a Girsan in FDE finish. I think it's pretty well done for a copy. Parts fit seem good. Finish on it also is ok (but for the color, lol). FDE wasn't my first choice, but it was a seemingly good price...524. A bit more than I liked, but the fever was upon me. Yes, I should have waited for the SA-35. I've even bought a few "extra" mags from Springfield just getting ready for the day.
  14. Yvonne DeCarlo???
  15. LOVE those grips!!
  16. Redneck ingenuity!
  17. If my memory serves...origional msrp was at 699. I have talked to several(3) gun shops who said they had gotten some in. They were immediately sold at this price...supposedly. Like Grayfox, I want one; but will wait for a more palatable price.
  18. Back-up Buyer! I missed this one!
  19. Thanks, but will wait it out. Since looking for another for a buddy, he wants private sale. don't blame him at all. If I were a good friend, I could just sell him mine...LOL! .
  20. Sorry to say this, because Texas Roadhouse has always been a favorite place to go for a good steak for us. But last weekend in Hendersonville was a bit of a dissapointment. Ordered 2 steaks. One seasoned and one not(my wife...I'm sorry about that.) Longer wait than usual. As I get up to flag a server, a young man from the kitchen comes out and tells us that my wife's steak will have to be redone. It has their seasonings on it. He's cooking her another one. Rougly 10 minutes later, or meal is delivered. Hers is perfect. Mine looked like it had been sat under a heat lamp and fried! Potatoe was shriveled and everything was cold. I sent up a flare(figuratively) for a floor manager. Pointed out the problem and got the usual prolific apologies. "I'll get you another" she says. Ok sounds good. By this time, my wife has finished her meal. Manager comes over with the new steak. It's not burnt, but very well done and with a char on it; my mushroom topping consisted of 6 burnt mushrooms. Now I'm a guy who actually will eat a well-done steak. I like it. But this was beyond me. More apologies. Offers another. Nope, I'm ready to leave. Ask for the check. Nope, it's comped. Offers us desert as well. My wife says yes. No surprise there. Now...by the time desert comes out, another server brings out a new steak to me. ???? Apologies for the delay. Thinks it's the first replacemant. LOL! Just not a good day for us. Anyway, it ends with a boxed take-out meal for me and no charge for anything. Sorry, got a bit offtrack here. But the little tabletop pay system shows no charge, but asks for a tip to be added. lol. 10, 18, and 25% figures on it for choices. But at least it's not automatically added as some places do. Sorry, but I'm not real thrilled with the visit; but I gave the girl 10 upon my wife's insistance. I know the general rules/requests for tipping. I'll leave a tip for good service and friendly courteous behavior, AND my drink must be refilled without having to ask. That's a must for me as far as good service goes. So...I'll leave 10 for good service on a meal of 50/60 bucks. I think that's fair for 2 people. More if it's a great meal and experience. Rarely will I leave more. Now there are exceptions to that, but in general../that's me. Additional info. Will I go back to Roadhouse. Sure. Everyone can have a bad day/experience. We just got one of thosedays. On the whole, Texas Roadhouse is great.
  21. Hmmm. I think I need some gloves to complete my ensomble. LOL! But then, I'm a reformed mall ninja fading away like an old fat man reliving his past!
  22. Had that very phone. Wore it proudly! Felt important for having it. What a dumbass I was back then. Please don't comment on my current condition though!
  23. I'd just have to wait and see the driver of that car! Just out of curiosity.
