Two by Campfield RE carry on college/univ campus
ffr1910 replied to GKar's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
davetn, From the experience I had in our emergency preparedness video, most of the faculty, in that meeting, seemed against it. This from the guffaws and rumbles I heard when I brought up the issue of campus carry in the meeting. Now within the university environment you can find certain colleges and departments that are more pro than con. Like someone else mentioned, if you are going to support the 1st why not the 2nd or any other amendments. Part-time Patriots??? ffr1910 -

I was present for one of the video presentations of what I call "Stop, Drop, and Die" that has been referred to at MTSU. I stood up and asked the question of when will MTSU allow college carry like TX seems poised to do and other states already allow. I was the only one who had what it took to stand up in our meeting-Bill -

I am interested in buying an EAA Witness pistol. The problem I am having is finding one locally to lay my hands on, just to see if I like how it feels. Does anyone have one that I could see in person just to make sure it is something I would want to buy. I live in Murfreesboro and would be happy to meet you in a public place. Thank you in advance-Bill

i have had one for seven years. it too had problems feeding from time to time. wolff mag springs cured that problem completely with my carry ammo. it still has a little trouble feeding my lead SWC handloads. might be fine on a roundnose. bill

i am looking for a 625 myself and one of my coworkers has one already. he recommended the RIMZ moonclips. made of plastic and he says they are easy to load. Ez Moon Clips bill

i second the vote for a Ruger. i have the 22/45 and it has become one of my most favorite guns to shoot. it always goes to the range. i have added a $100 red dot and also have done the 1911 brip mod. i added Hogue wraparound 1911 grips. you can find how to do this on the internet but i machined off the integral grip panels. i then installed 1911 grip bushings and the grips. i also have the "ultimate clip loader" ( i know it is a magazine, i didnt name the thing) and i can give it two thumbs up, but it makes it very easy to run through a brick of 22-bill

I have one and really enjoy it. the desantis nemesis was mentioned earlier. i had one of those but switched to the desantis superfly. basically the same but has an additional removable flap that fits between the holster body and the inside of your pocket. does a GREAT job of making it look like a wallet in your front pocket if you move your leg in a way that tightens up that area. b

wadejjet, I think you should ditch the NAA and get the LCP. Of course I am partial since I have had an LCP for over a year now. I also have a Walther PP that I used to carry before I got the LCP which is better than nothing. If you have any questions or want to shoot an LCP, just ask your AERO 3030 instructor. FFR1910

if that is still the same as jt industries, then i have had great experience with them. i first got a CAR kit from them in about 2002 but i could not get it to group tighter than about 3in at 100yds no matter what ammo i tried. tried over a year to get it to group right. i took it to the gun show one saturday when they were there and told them the story. they took the top end on trade at their current retail price and i got a new upper. now i have a gun i am very glad to own and is very accurate with the right ammo and me on a good day. bill

http://www.legis.state.ak.us/PDF/26/Bills/HB0186C.PDF The bill doesnt mention full auto in specific but it says that alaskans will be responsible for govering their own firearms laws within their borders. This leads the way to producing full autos in AK for use within the borders only, if the bill is signed to law. this is atleast the way i read it. bill
-
the full auto prt is what the folks at the other forum were discussing, I havent read anything specific about it, just wanted to bring the topic to this forum as it seemed newsworthy. I will look deeper in to it as I have more time but thought someone with the time right now might want to know about it. bill
-
Has anyone heard of this? I read about it on another board and wanted to bring it here. Supposedly it will allow Alaskans to build their own fully auto matic weapons, as long as they stay within the state lines. The reading I have done cites the BATF regulation as covering interstate commerce and not intrastate. If this is true and moves ahead it would be nice to have such regulation here, unless I am missing a bigger part of the picture.
