1. Does anyone have a link to the ACTUAL text of what was passed? Complete with whichever amendments made it? tku-Bill
2. A win is a win in my book. I am interested to see how this plays out at state institutions, particularly the one in the boro.  Bill
3. Anyone got a link to this legislation?
4. In my area, most all of us are gun enthusiasts, or as some may say, right wing nut jobs. The libs think if students/staff have guns, it will be a wild west shoot out when grades are posted. The "gun in bars" legislation didnt result in druken ok corral, but this is different.....eyeroll
5. I DO NOT support selective legislation regarding who can carry where. This being said, as a college professor I have to welcome any legislation that allows me to help protect the children under my care. I have felt hamstrung for years by stupid liberal head in the sand policies that are nothing but feel good garbage. ffr1910
6. I learned about the small pistol primer brass with my Dillon, it stopped cold and I didnt know what was up. I have since thrown away prob 10 range pickups trying to get rid of all of the SPP cases. Fast forward to about a month ago and I was at a class where the guys next to me burned through 500 of them during the class. He said he was not going to keep his brass. It was at this point that I decided brass was brass and I collected his SPP cases. Saving them for when my LPP cases wear out. Brass is brass-Bill
7. I am running a week behind, but I wanted to take time to comment on last weekend's class. It was a great experience, it was the second time I had attended a Randy Harris course. I went to the one day event in December as it was a little more affordable and thought I could get my feet wet there. I learned much from that course, not the least of which is that I need more coursework. I learned that the price of the regular courses is well worth it(anyone on the fence hear me on that one). I learned much last weekend. We had four of us in class which left plenty of time for individual instruction.  If you have never met Randy, he is very personable and uses humor to help you get over bad habits. I am looking forward to the CRG-2 class at the end on April and would encourage anyone to take the CRG-1 class as soon as it is offered again. Make sure you have PLENTY of good ammo with you and it never hurts to take a backup weapon with you in case your primary has a problem. I did this last weekend and it kept me shooting instead of being on the sidelines. Bill
8. I am signed up and ready to go, looking forward to it-Bill
9. I will try to give an AAR to the best of my ability give this was my first class. I was very pleased. Started with the dry fire drills and it was immediately clear that I was behind the curve. I was the only one there with a hammer fired weapon, my Smith 4513TSW. Randy was very knowledgeable and patient. He did however threaten to cut off my finger if I kept putting it on the front of the trigger guard, need to work on this. The host's farm was beautiful and easy to find. The first half of the day was spent doing the dry fire drills then after lunch we loaded up. Lunch was good but the diner took a bit to get our orders to us and that ate into our afternoon, but we got it all done. Met several great guys, most of which are father along on their education than I am. They say the longest journey begins with the first step. Thanks again Randy, you will see me agin-Bill Allen
10. do we take a lunch break or do we need to bring lunch with us? first time-ba
11. Never been to one of these be will be there with a friend-bill
12. You said you were open to being swayed. I would abandon the 1911 and go with the CZ97. I did this a couple of years ago and havent looked back. i will be at ok corral this coming monday with some folks. pm me if you want to take mine for a test drive-bill
13. I always like to help people out with gun stuff. If anyone wants to test run my cz97, i would be happy to meet you at On Target if you bring the ammo!  bill
14. BigK,   I got mine from buds gun shop online, just trying to push you in the right direction.  Bill
15. it also runs my reloads with no trouble. 185gr lead swc on 3.1gr of clays. powder-puff loads
16. i too heard the 97 was big, bt i had not seen one. i went ahead and bought one new, sight unseen. it is THE best pistol I own. i can hit the 100yd gong at my range with regularity. when the slide moves forward it locks up tighter than a nun's purse. about the grip, i let a young man of 10 shoot it a few weeks ago and he had no problem holding on to it, and he had little hands. if you are ever in murfreesboro i will let you test run mine-bill
17. I read somewhere that a study showed that people who use passive aggression to try to control the driving habits of others have small peni$e$-Bill
18. my new favorite 45 is my cz97. had it a few weeks now and took it our today. was hitting the 100yd gong with it using 200gr swc on top of clays-bill
19. i am late to the party but i will too cast my vote for the ssa-e. i have one in my lower that i use with a 45acp upper and a 223 bullbarrel upper. best trigger i have used on any gun. i started with a rra 2 stage but this beats it by a mile-bill
20. I was just trying to add to the discussion, i didnt mean to make a "THR" style infraction-ffr1910
21. The State of Tennessee does not care if you build your own supressor without paperwork: http://www.capitol.t...pter/PC0435.pdf To my knowledge no one has stepped up to test this new law and how the federales would react to it-ffr1910
