I was there too. I work for the local gun friendly TV station. Not mentioning any names, but our initials begin with F and end with X. I gave him a bit of static about it. Now he wants to go on about "well intentioned people on both sides... blah blah blah". This veto will not stand. I still think it's time for an open carry day of protest. One day to show the anti-gunaphobes just how many of us there are.

I just sent a copy of the publishers and staff home address and phone info to Mr Pepe. Just thought he should get a taste of his own meds. And that he is screwing with the wrong bunch. -

What, why no video of you Remo? -
I've carried an E9 and a K9 for years. Both have been spot on accurate and reliable. Kahr has had issues with the plastic framed guns. Not so with the K series. Besides, the K series is a bit heavier and more robust than the P and CW models. If you get into a fight and run out of ammo, the K is a handful of steel that you can beat the snot out of your attacker with

Obama 08 - Something to think about?
Beretta Racer replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
That's the way it works. I think the LP has great potential, it just hasn't resonated with enough of the American electorate. Perhaps with the Dems moving farther to the left and the Repubs moving more to the right, albeit to a lesser degree, the LP could find itself being the party for those who shun politics of the extreme. -

Grow up! Neither party will change anything! They say they are about change, only to get your vote. Then go back doing the same old crap. Oh, and that third party, forget it. The old guard is too well entrenched. Your "hissy fit" isn't going to change anything. Old age and experience beats youth and exuberance. -

If your info is correct, this is probably your first time voting in a Presidential election. Go ahead and "throw away" your vote kid. All you will be doing is throwing it to the Obama camp. Get over your hissy fit and realize that politics is ALWAYS the lesser of evils. In this case John McCain is by far the lesser of two evils. -
How Obama Really Got Elected in Chicago
Beretta Racer replied to strickj's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I worked in DC during Reagan, Bush 41 and Clinton. In my job I traveled with the Pres on most every trip, here and abroad. During Clinton the Secret Service was very nervous. The press was used as a buffer on many occasions. Before you guys go saying that the press and Bill should have gotten a round parked in'em. I was one of those guys that would have gotten it. Still at it too. The Secret Service are very very good at their jobs, but they will tell you that they only have to drop the ball once. It can happen. -

Most votes are cast for the lesser of evils. In this case Obama is NOT the lesser of two evils. Matter of fact, John McCain isn't evil at all. But hey, if Obama should happen to be elected, he could be the last Dem to be President for quite some time. -
The only way I have found to cut my cost, seriously cut my cost, and still have match grade ammo is to reload my own. I was buying Atlanta Arms 9mm 147gr match for $175.00 plus shipping ($20) per 1k rounds. At almost .20 cents a round, and using a fair amount of ammo, I cut my cost down to .09 cents a round by reloading my own match ammo. Just my .02 cents worth.

My take on this is that it gives the establishments some cover for insurance purposes, and the ability ask those who might be a problem to leave. I don't really get pissy over the places that post in a manner that isn't legal. I get pissed over the places that do post in a manner that is legal and intends to say that you and your gun are not welcome here.

I Don't Practice Anymore.

Every one keeps knocking Kahr about it's "break-in". Any gun you carry should go through a trial and break-in of a minimum of 200 rounds before it is considered "ready for carry". I know Glocks are reliable out of the box, but that "Glock Perfection" thing is just marketing.
-
Never owned a Glock, don't plan to and probably never will. Kahrs, I've owned two. An E9 that I recently sold and a K9 2003 Elite that is my daily carry. BOTH have been rock solid reliable from the first mag. You all can have your plastic fantastic kaboomers. I'll keep my Kahr, and pretty certain I'll buy more. Oh and as to the capacity of a Kahr vs Glock. Since the average firefight is 3-5 rounds, and my Kahr is as accurate as any Glock, not a problem. Don't get me wrong, Glocks are a very fine and popular weapons system. Just not something I want.

As one who is a long way from Master, I would have to agree.
-
To paraphrase Tac; Don't knock it until you've tried it.

I carry a K9 Elite and it rocks. Keep it. It will last a lifetime.
