  1. dunno but i stopped eating there because of the sign. I contacted the manager to inform them why i would not be dinning there anymore. That sign means they dont want my money.....regardless to the legality (i am 99% sure it is a legal posting.) Please take your money to a restaurant that appreciates my business and your constitutional rights. After years of being in the restaurant business, i really don't understand how a business can take the chance on posting. In this industry, every customer counts. The margins are very small and most restaurants industry wide have taken a hit in the last few years. These decisions really do not make sense to me. I'll be stepping off my soap box now.
  2. When i was pulled over i handed the officer my DL and my HCP. He had a female ride along (not a officer) that had walked up the passenger side window once he approached the truck. When i told him that i had my HCP and had a weapon on me she ran back to the cruiser like we were gonna have a gun fight. I couldnt help but laugh a little. He simply ask where it was.....i told him it was IWB at 4 o'clock. He handed me both ID's back and told me to have a nice day. Never mentioned the speeding. Oh well. I'm gonna bet that i wont be so lucky next time.
  3. understood....i intended both parts to be a hypothetical question. I would like to add a small NRA sticker to the truck but i dont want to replace the windows every two weeks
  4. How do you guys feel about NRA stickers on vehicles? Does this increase the chances someone will break into your vehicle looking for guns? I really like the NRA license plate here in TN but i'm afraid to order one based on the logic listed above. Also, while were on the topic, how do you feel about glock stickers or any other firearm stickers? Do these stickers have the same affect as the NRA stickers? And......gun t-shirts. Do these make people look twice for a concealed weapon? If i wear a glock t-shirt does that draw more attention from people who may not approve of firearms.
  5. i shot the m&p 9mm (full size) for the first time today. I was every impressed. I shot it a lot better than my G26 (not sure that's a fair comparison since one is a compact and one is full size.) It was impressive enough the m&p9c has moved way up on my wish list.
  6. i've got a external frame back pack i would be willing to donate to the other boy. That would make one for each. They will eventually need it. PM the address and i'll ship it out next week. Its only been on one hike so its got plenty of miles left.
  7. i carry pretty much all the time. My wife doesn't. She got her permit when i did for a number of reasons. Because she has her permit, i can toss my g26 in her purse if we have to go somewhere that carry on my person isn't possible. Plus, if she is in the car waiting on me to run in somewhere that i can't carry....i don't have to worry about it being in violation of the law. In addition to all that, she has a understanding of the laws and a basic knowledge of handgun operation.
  8. i posted a restaurant to the list. I'll be on the look out for "government letters." If i get one you'll be the first to know.
  9. on average.....about once a week. Around 100 rounds per trip
  10. wow......about 2 months faster than mine. congrats. for the record.............you still have to go to wally world to buy some ammo before you can join the club.
  11. Sloopy's in Kingsport will not be posting......I promise!!
  12. next gun on my wish list......come on Christmas
  13. very nice
  14. what happens then?
  15. may not need a new grip but i'll need a new owb holster, iwb holster, paddle holster, magazines, night sights, and all the other glock goodies i've accumulated over time. I dont feel like going through all that again. But, the time is coming that i add a full size .45 to the collection. The m&p will get a hard look.
  16. My daily carry gun is a G26. I LOVE the platform. I dont really dislike the grip but i feel it has some room for improvement. I bought a houge slip on today and like some aspects of it. I read some reviews (after the purchase) and found out about some slipping issuess. So far, it feels good but i haven't had a chance to go to the range. Is this really a issue? I went ahead and cut out a little extra space around the magazine release just to ease my mind until i get to the range. Please give me your opinions on aftermarket grips...... Also, is there any reason not to buy a $6.00 plug to fill the void near the magazine well? I feel like i read somewhere that it was there by design but i cant remember for sure...... Thanks, Ben
  17. love mine......favorite handgun by far!!
  18. i bet you could find more opinions than you care to read if you did a search for "open carry"
  19. wasn't that in the title......oh well
  20. cant fix stupid
  21. I dont have any first hand knowledge but i plan on applying for a position within the next few months. Let me know what you discover. I have researched the training online but i'm sure its stuff your aware of (hrs required, qualifications, etc)
  22. Just wondering how many rounds you guys who carry shoot in a average month? What kind of drills do you work through with your time at the range? I typically make it to the range once a week and run ~100 rounds down the G26 that i carry daily. I would like to use my time and ammo wisely. If you have any good drills please let me know. Is the an average amount of practice for someone who carries on a daily basis?
