  1. Thanks for your service!
  2. It kinda like compairing apples to oranges----but there is no reason not to have both.......right?
  3. my thoughts exactly
  4. don't read too much into this "test." My wife passed it with a 100% and she had never fired a handgun prior to the test. We took the class on valentines day--since then, she has improved drastically.

    Glock 1911????

if its new to you its new to me--but--i doubt it will ever be "new" to either one of us
  6. does it look like the one in my avatar? Let me know when you get the price together, i might be interested.
  7. i'm not sure if it is legal anywhere but i consider it a bad idea everywhere. Holsters were invented for a reason. But to the orginal thread....i still look for people carrying. I see it from time to time. I consider then friendlies til they do something stupid to change my way of thinking
  8. +1 for the good guys. No reason he should be charged (from the above video.)
  9. Gonna have to stop in next time i'm in knox...........
  10. I picked up some old boxes of ammo the other day. Tell me if you know anything about any of them. They looked "vintage" and they are all full so i figured they'd look cool on the shelf I know this probably belongs in the "ammo forum" but i didn't think it would get enough traffic to get some answers.
  11. i've got state farm and added a "rider" to my homeowner policy to cover firearms. I wanna say it was a $10 per month to add the extra coverage. I think that bumps it up to 10k replacement value. You can go higher--i just didnt need to.....................yet. My agent discounted it somehow with proof of a safe (picture) and the security system
  12. From what i have learned about these; to have a "collector value" they must be made prior to 1963. Thanks for the info. Probably a great shooter.
  13. nope......this one will probably never be for sale. but...how much did they want for it. Twins would be nice
  14. Thanks for the link......i started a new thread rather than hijacking this one.
  15. I'm trying to find some info on this Model 94. Serial number is 1,527,xxx which according to this link dates it at 1948 (Winchester Model 1894/94 Factory Records - Shooters Forum) I showed the guys it to the guys at tri-cities gun depot and they gave it a solid 8.5-9 out of 10 when it comes to condition. I'm not interested in selling it, just curious where it rates in the grand scheme of things. I know it is a somewhat "common" model being in 30 W.C.F. These pictures may not be high enough quality to help but it sure can't hurt......
  16. very nice....if you dont mind, PM me what you paid for it and where you found. Thanks Ben
  17. B.S.............just my opinion

    XD guys

One of my buddies will become a commissioned officer in the Navy in a few weeks. His father in law will be presenting him a XD for a graduation gift. I want to get him a quality holster but i would like it to be delivered around July 5-8th. Any ideas? Crossbreed Supertuck is my plan unless someone has a better option thanks.. Ben
  19. until today, i would have agreed with you on the accuracy of the pf-9. Prior to my range session today, have shot around 300 rounds with it. Sadly, i was looking mostly at function rather than accuracy. I took it to the range today to actually work with it and learn how to shoot accurately with it. I now stage the trigger (for lack of a better term,) after a few hundred rounds, i found the break in the trigger and seem to pull it to that point, pause, and press the trigger. With this technique my accuracy has improved drastically over the long trigger pull of the past. Given the short sight radius, this isnt a gun that will hide problems in fundamentals. It is on par with the G26 now in my opinion when accuracy is the main concern. Both still out-shoot my skill level
  20. PF-9 is a dang fine carry gun in my opinion. however, if any wants to trade me a G19 for it i would be all over it!!
  21. This happened to my wife during her permit test. Thing is, she was so focused on her shooting she didn't think to move the ejected shell. Left a nice scar lol
