  1. Buy the membership. No point in loosing $50-100 on trade at the gun store to avoid the TGO membership fee!
  2. You can join me from time to time outside of Kingsport. I'd say its a 45 min drive for you. My family owns some land off 107 in horsecreek. Let me know when you want to shoot...
  3. Tyler, you are going to get a bunch of advise here. Most will be spot on. However, your will need to decide what fits YOUR needs the best. I have found shooting differant guns is the best way to go about this. How bout meeting me at a range in Kingsport one afternoon and you can try out a few differant options?
  4. I had a 45c and carried it all winter. Great gun. Mine liked everything i gave it with the exception of Hornady Tap +p
  5. I think this is spot on. Without extensive high stress training, i think you will be vomiting on the scene. I had a "close call" and experianced what is listed above. If it would have went sideways, i was going to the hospital. Not sure i shouldnt have gone anyway.....

  8. I know of a guy in Kingsport that would be happy to help you out. He typically deals with fleet diesels but he will work friends and referals at a good rate. Shoot me a PM for info.
  9. I hate to read this, i'll be praying that your family finds peace and understanding in this challenging time.

  12. Same here--i sent David a Private Message...
  13. agreed!
  14. Things could be worse--I have buddies who show up time after time without ammo. I end up flipping the bill for 3-4 guys to shoot....and i don't reload. Members of the TGO are the exception! They often show up better prepared than me.........
  15. I might swing by there--I like OTD pricing.
  16. Shoot me a message if you have any questions. I'm in the hvac business
  17. Well, judging by the fact this is being posted at 3:45 a.m.; i guess you could say i am not having a good night. I had a situation at my home this evening. Around 11:30, someone started banging violently on my front door. My firearm was handy (thank God) and my wife and I were able to retreat to a safe"er" place while waiting 8 long minutes for the Police. Per the officer, this has happened in this neighborhood before. Women comes to the door and gains access then others rush in. I feel like this might have been the intention tonight. Luckily, we had no forced entry. While in a low-ready position, i didn't notice the shakes or tunnel vision that i have read about in the past. I was able to calmly direct my wife and make it through the situation without feeling any noticeable effects of adrenaline. I did notice, i had the imprint of a gen 3 Glock checkering in my hand for about 30 mins after the incident--i guess i wont have to worry about limp wristing..... Anyway, here is where i am running into a problem. This is the first time i have ever had to draw a weapon knowing that my situation could greatly change if someone crossed the door frame into my home. 2 hours after the incident--i feel like ####. I have suffered from nausea and several other side effects of the adrenaline rush. Has anyone dealt with this before? Any tips? I assuming i wont get anything until morning so i can at least file it away and hopefully never use the information again. Thanks in advance for the help--i am hoping a leo or someone with military or other extensive defense training can provide some insight.
  18. Can't wait to get my hands on one of these. I will need to sale or trade something (to keep the wife happy) but i will own one sooner than later..........
  19. SHe knows where the combo is stored and how to enter it if need be. WHen i am out of town or not home at night, she has a nightstand gun and a shotgun without getting into the safe. I see no issue here.....
  20. I agree--Now they are starting to collect the oil producing nations (TURKEY). This is the begining. Years ago-Turkey was denied admission year after year. Now they are a gateway to the oil poducing nations. It will only grow from here.......
  21. Nice stop-I have always been lucky enough to get stopped by professional officers who are very fair. Glad the same happened to you!
  22. better to address the issue and move forward. If you didn't, you would constantly be worried when the kids are at your parents house. Way to get it out in the open a deal with the issue head on. Its not like you told him NOT to own guns or keep them on that shelf--just don't do it when YOUR kids are there. I don't have kids but when any small childred come over, everything goes in the safe, with the exception of one i wear. Its a saftey issue. Even if it causes a heated discussion--its worth it to secure the weapons.
  23. Great gun! Enjoy!
