  3. Awesome post!!
  4. Nope--but i plan on hitting vegas this year--hopefully around bowl season so i can camp out in the sports bar for the weekend and loose big money haha
  5. For what its worth, i was in atlanta for the Clemson Game/Braves/Nascar weekend. Marta is posted as "no firearms or weapons of any type--exception to those with valid carry permits" I would highly reccomend going armed on the Marta. Most resturants are not posted. Tuner field is legally posted but no metal detectors--make your own decision. Georgia dome is a no go as far as i know.
  6. Shoot it. I have ONE gun in the safe i will not fire. Its a 1947 Winchester 94. My grandfather purchased it new and never fired it. I won't be the first--atleast not now...... The rest get shot on a regular basis. Enjoy the craftmanship and accuracy of that CZ--Awesome Gun!!
  7. Buy it. I don't think i would discount Sig based on the P250. Try it out--i bet you love it............
  8. Done--Thanks!
  9. I don't like the idea of some DMV employee that might look like your buddy having what would appear to be a valid HCP. I doubt it would get him far with the national database but its scary at the least.
  10. very nice!
  11. Good luck--be sure to report back.
  12. I almost had a issue at the range last week. I took a new shooter out for some practice. I stayed within a few feet of him for the first hour or so. At that point, i thought he had a handle on loading, firing and clearing the weapon. I had him shooting my G19 for simplicity and he handled it well. However, i took a moment to shoot and then looked back over at him. At that time, he was loading 9mm ammo into my Sig 229 (40). I was a little surprised the round fit in the magazine so easily. Anyway, i was able to fix the problem before he loaded the weapon. So here's my question; What would have happened to the firearm had he successfully fired the 9mm in the .40cal sig? Also, what can i do to prevent this in the future. Clearly its a training issue and i am sure i covered it in the beginning but i also understand things are forgotten due to inexperience. I had the 9mm handguns together on one table with the ammo; .40 on another table with ammo. Thanks in advance Ben

  14. I see some open carry and concealed carry from time to time. If your ever in kingsport, visit the Jan-Mar (breakfast joint) in downtown. In the winter, its like a gun show when all the jackets come off. I would figure the majority of these are retired or current off duty LEO's, city officials and armed citizens (some of which probably figure they are too old to need a permit). A good deal of Kingsport political decisions are made in this greasy little breakfest spot. I pity the fool who tries to rob the Jan-mar............
  15. Not a bad gun to shoot. It has my seal of approval but that doesn't mean much
  16. double tap--sorry
  17. If you like it buy it. $75 is chump change in the gun world. Based on your public inventory list you already know this If it works you have a bargin. If it fails stick it in the safe and forget about it. You will be able to sale it to a collector in 10-15 years for double your money.

    "Glock Haters"

I have been on and off the Glock wagon in the last few years. Lately, i took a large drink of the koolaid. After being in a potential SD situation, i realized i don't have the muscle memory for a thumb saftey prior to firing (glad i was in the room with a glock at the time-i swear i would have forgotten the safety on a 1911). At this point, i made the glock platform my primary carry gun and home defense pistol. I really like the fact i can carry a G26 with a G19 magazine. This gives me 26 rounds in a compact platform. In addition to that, my wife understands and feels comferable with glocks--point and shoot. I sure wouldn't want to cross her and her G19 after dark.......
  19. Take this for what its worth--I have worked with local credit unions my whole life but BB&T is beating the socks off everyone in this area. I know a good leander in theis area which makes all the differance. Be sure you shop them. As you probalbly know, you get a month from the day of the first application to shop mortgage leanders without penelty on your credit report.
  20. I agree completly. I will always trade a glock for a classic. In most cases, the older the revolver the better it shoots. Glocks are great but they make a ton of them daily and i highly doubt they will ever be hard to come by.
  21. Please don't judge the whole group because of one idiot......
  22. nice work!!
  23. Be sure you read "See No Evil" Written by Robert Baer. A lot of interesting info considering it was written in 2002 (right after 9/11)
  24. Pretty sure its against the rules to post illegal activities or suggest that one carries out illegal activites. Clearly, rules and laws don't apply to you so i'm probably wasting my time mentioning this...........To each their own
