1.   Of course they didn't.
2. It looks very much like the Walter G22, so you're in luck. Edit: Oh, I see they have one in 22lr already. I missed that. Never mind.
3. This is the act that Congress passed and the President signed which basically said "If you don't cut spending by x by date y, automatic budget cuts go into effect."  What's being called Sequestration.  And here's the catch - it's a multi-year thing.  If they don't do anything, it happens again.   By the way, if you want to know who voted which way on it:   The Senate: http://votesmart.org/bill/votes/36154   The House: http://votesmart.org/bill/votes/36151
4.   That's the problem with them. Well, that and they recoil like crazy in anything over .22.  They make airweight revolvers seem positively pleasant to shoot.  I'm sure they served a purpose at one point, but J frame revolvers, subcompact autos like the Kahrs, Ruger LCP/LC9 & their brethren have taken over that niche.   That's not to say that there's anything wrong with wanting one just because you like them and think they're cool.
5. No matter what you do it's going to be noticeable when you're done.  The suggestions above are probably the best.  Honestly, if you're only going to be in the house two years then I'd probably just anchor it to the wall studs instead.  Not as secure, but you can fix that where it's not noticeable at all.
6. I can't feel too bad for his jobless state.  He's got a net worth of $35M, so he's not exactly worried about where his next Big Mac is coming from.
7.     Definitely be careful when buying a house. During the housing boom there were developers building on property that had no business with a house on it.  When I was looking back around 2000 I had a geological engineer friend look at a neighborhood I was considering.  She looked around and said "You don't want to buy a house here."  "Why?"  She starts pointing at various locations within line of sight.  "Sinkhole.  Sinkhole.  Sinkhole.  See that spot in the back yard of that house?  That's the mouth of a cave."
8. I have one just like that except it has the standard stock.  I'm not a fan of AR stocks on shotguns, nor pistol grips on them.  Especially on Mossbergs, as you can't manipulate the safety and keep a firing grip.
9. The second one is really nice. I like the look of the traditional wood stock on an AK.  If I do anything to mine it will be an ultimak rail like that.
10. And now showing out of stock. Thanks for playing.
11. Reading through this, I come away with two things.   1.  What he did was completely legal.   2.  What he did was completely stupid.   He was shot at when he pursued the robber after the robber was no threat to him.  Deliberately moving into a situation where you can be shot at when you have a choice not to (no lives are at risk, just property) is stupid.  I'm glad everything worked out for the best, but the story could have ended very differently.
12. Welcome aboard Larry.
13. I'd change one thing about sequestration: No exemptions. Cut everything.  Yes, that means military (including retiree benefits), social security, all of it.    All.  Of.  It.   Equal % cuts until we're balanced. If they want to cut out specific programs to save money, fine.  That savings will be applied equally to all of the across-the-board cuts.
14. That is gorgeous. I have a No.4 Mk I, but it's nowhere near that pretty. I still kick myself for passing up the chance to buy an unfired still-in-the-mummy-wrap post war No.4 Mk II for $400 (about 10 years ago mind you). I thought that was too expensive at the time. I want to kick my own ass every time I think of it. I do want to reiterate what you say about being careful with what you buy. The first one I bought turned out to be unsafe to fire. I'm lucky I didn't end up with the bolt sticking out of my forehead.
15. Biden doesn't realize it, but he has something of a point. (no, I am not supporting what he said!) Let's compare an AR-15 with a 30 round magazine of 55 grain .223 vs a shotgun with 00 Buck.  One pull of the trigger on the AR launches a 55 grain .22" diameter projectile with what?  1300 foot-pounds of muzzle energy?  Pull the trigger on a shotgun loaded with 00 buck and you release 9 55 grain .33" diameter projectiles that have about 1600 foot-pounds of muzzle energy. An AR loaded with a 30 round magazine is going to release 30 of these projectiles, while a shotgun with a seven shell tube is going to release 63 of these projectiles. Someone check my math, but I'm pretty sure the shotgun wins.
16. I have to disagree with you.  Of the 3 Daniel Craig Bond movies I'd rank Skyfall as the best, with Casino Royale right behind it and Quantum of Solace trailing waaaaay behind.  But that's entertainment for you - everyone has different tastes.
17. I have a CZ-452 (the Lux with the beechwood stock) and love it.  Mine isn't scoped, but even with irons it's quite a little tack driver.   That said I've heard nothing but good things about the Savage, so you might want to try handling both of them.
18. Thanks for posting this.  I always forget about it until you post it.
19.   I cant' imagine why they'd want to keep a low profile.  I remember in the first couple of years after 9/11, watching a comedian whose grandparents immigrated to the US from Iran.  "It's amazing how many of my friends suddenly discovered their Italian heritage."   And yeah, you probably do know a few.  They just don't talk about their religious faith.
20. The only catch I can think of is that right now they also use the instant background check as a chance to check the serial # of the gun against the list of guns reported stolen.     Not sure how you'd do that.  Everything has an associated cost.  If it's a .gov service and you get it "for free" that just means you're shifting the cost to everyone.    For the record, I'm not opposed to the basic idea you're proposing, just playing devil's advocate.
21. I've used C Products mags before with no problems on my home built FrankenAR.  I've never heard anything but good things about them.   I don't see a problem with buying a few mags for a rifle you plan to buy (especially if you think the mags might not be available later), any more than I see a problem with buying a few extra even when you already have a nice stash.  The problem is the same as the ammo situation - the system isn't designed for everyone to stock up at the same time.
22. My credit union has a deal with Turbo Tax.  I can link into it directly from my account.  Very handy.
23.   Yep.  And from a straight up business / safety viewpoint it makes sense to use prop guns in shows like that.  Less chance of somebody pulling a Brandon Lee or John Hexum.
24.   I've heard quite a few guns in movies & TV now are airsoft props etc...  They add the flash and the noise afterwards.  CG special effects are dirt cheap now.
